Good morning!  Yeah.....it's Saturday!!  I have a busy day planned ahead of me.  Luckily I went to the store yesterday and loaded up on my Superbowl party supplies!  A dear friend of mine named Marga is coming to visit me this morning.  I am really looking forward to seeing her and catching up.  We have been friends since high school.

What do you have planned today?  I hope you make it a great day no matter what you are doing.  Also if you get a chance today will you send a card to someone who could use a little encouragement or a laugh or to just let them know that you are thinking of them?  Means a lot to the person receiving it and it takes just a minute for us to do.  Thanks everyone!

I will never say this enough....but thanks for your continued prayers and encouragement for me and my family.  We appreciate it so very much!!  We feel very loved!

Good Friday morning!!  I am happy to report that Lola the dog is doing great.  She got a clean bill of health from the vet yesterday.  So far though she seems to be a very picky eater.  Will have to go to the store today and find some can food and see if that helps.  I need to put some weight on her.  She is my little buddy all day.  No matter where I go she follows and lays there until I move again.  So sweet!  An answer to my prayers.

I have a very full weekend planned!  Superbowl Sunday is coming up this Sunday!  We always go to my friends Cheryl and Lonnie's for a super bowl party and eat tons of food......you know the kind of food I am talking about......real healthy........yeah right!  I'll suck down enough calories to last me all week!  Okay so my super bowl pick is.....well I have a lot of good friends who are Steelers fans so don't be mad at me but it is ARIZONA ALL THE WAY!!!  Yep....I am going for the underdog.  Besides....the Steelers beat my Chargers......why would I root for them to win?   So go Cardinals!  Actually I don't really care......I am just there this year for the food and commercials!

I hope you all have a fabulous, fun Friday!  Please keep in prayer right now all of the people who have lost their jobs.  It is taking a toll on so many.  If you have a great job, be truly thankful!

Good evening everyone!  I decided to post tonight instead of tomorrow because I couldn't wait to show you pictures of my new dog.  She is a wire terrior mix and the sweetest thing ever!  She is 3 years old and pretty mellow which is what I was looking for.  She cuddles by us all the time.  She is still trying to get adjusted and use to it here.  Her name is Aloha Lola.  We will be calling her Lola.  It will be fun though when she is outside to call out AAALLLOOOOHHHAAA!  We rescued her from the pound.  It was really hard for me because I wanted to take them all home.  I even narrowed it down to 3 and it was still a hard choice but this little girl won.  She will be a great buddy for me these next 6 months.

So tell me.......what do you think??

Good morning!!  How are you all doing?  I am on day two of no chemo and I am loving it!  I met with the surgeon yesterday Dr. Hahm, and I am scheduled for surgery to put the port in on Monday morning.  I have to be at the hospital at 8:00 but I don't think the surgery will take place until 10:00.  I have to make it through one more IV stick but thats all.  After the port is installed I am done with that for a long time.  I just want to tell you that I love Dr. Hahm!  She is so encouraging, funny, up to date on the latest and just genuinely cares!  So happy that she is my surgeon.

Today as soon as Mike gets home from work (he had to go in for a few hours this morning)  we are going to the pound to look for a dog!  I can't wait!  I just know there is one there for me.  If not we will keep looking but I may have a dog in my possession today.  I will take a picture if I get one and post it.  Hopefully I won't be saying to you all......Good grief, what have I done?  :)

Could you continue to pray for me for this upcoming surgery?  That they get the IV in the first time?  That I don't have anxiety about it?  Thank you all for the many prayer requests that I received yesterday.  I am faithfully praying for all of them.  Keep sending them my way.   Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Good morning!!!  Today is my first day without chemo!  Hooorrraaayyyy!!  As a matter of fact Jenna and Ryan came over last night and along with Jeff and Mike had a little surprise up their sleeves.  As soon as 8:00 rolled by and I took my last chemo drugs of the day they came out with confetti poppers and really wooped it up and we celebrated!  I know.....it is only for a short time but it was great! 

You would all be proud of me too.  I went for a walk with my son yesterday.  I didn't go quite a mile but almost.  It felt so good to start getting back into shape.  Hopefully I can do a lot in these next two weeks.

Today I see the surgeon.  I will let you know when they schedule the putting in of the port.  As much as I hate the fact that I have to do this again.....I know it is a good thing.  Thanks for your prayers!!
