Good Morning!!!  It is my last day to take my oral chemo drugs.  Starting tomorrow I am off of them for two weeks!!!  Yeah!!  I am really hoping to gain a lot of strength back in those two weeks.  I have been trying to walk and get more exercise and to start strengthening my legs.  I love to walk so it will be good for me to get out and do a lot of it.  Plus I can tell that my body could sure use the relief.

Tomorrow I will be celebrating.... but I also have an appointment with my surgeon at 3:30 to discuss putting in the port.  Hopefully that is all the medical I will be dealing with this week.  I don't think my surgeon will put the port in till next week.  I am needle free this week......woooohooooo!!!

Guess what?  We are looking for a dog.  I want it about a year old.  Medium sized and cuddly.  Mike and I will go to the pound on Wednesday to look and see if they have any to rescue.  I always like to adopt from the pound and yes.....I love mutts!  But if any of you know of a dog that fits that description, let me know.  I am excited about getting one!

Good Sunday morning!  I had a fabulous day yesterday!  I even have pictures to share!   A couple friends and I left here and drove up to Julian to eat some of their famous apple pie and have some hot chocolate. Oh it was so good.  Then we drove to San Diego, picked up my sister and went  to the beach.  It was a gorgeous sunny day!  Perfect day....definitely a shorts day (although there were a lot of people in swim suits).  Who would of thought that in January?  We ate lunch at a restaurant right on the beach.  Then we drove to Coronado's Hotel Del and went to the beach there.  It was later in the day so it was much cooler, but we sat and just enjoyed the beautiful ocean and all the fun that was going on around us.  It was a relaxing day for all of us.  Thanks Terrie, Lisa and Monica for all the fun!  I had a blast!  It was so nice to have a day where I didn't have to think about cancer.  I am so thankful for that!

Good Saturday morning!!!  I had a pretty good day yesterday.  I was able to get out for a while and meet some of my co-workers for lunch.  I had so much fun!  I miss them all terribly.  It was so good for me to get to see them and spend some time with them.  What a fun bunch.....laughed the whole time!  I want to go and visit the kids at school so much but there is just too much flu going around right now that I don't need to catch.  Hopefully later.   I came home after that and took it easy but felt mentally refreshed.  Today I am off to the beach with a few more friends.  Total kick back day planned.  I can't wait!

Please....all of you that have soup recipes.....will you post them?  I would love them and so would a lot of other people who have contacted me.  They all sound so good!  I love all soups and chilie.  PLEASE??  This is the best time of the year to make them too.

Good Friday morning!!  I did what I pretty much said that I would do yesterday and that was to rest and stay on the couch most of the day.  I feel much better this morning.  My spirits feel better.  I feel motivated to get some things done.  I know that is what gets me in trouble....I feel good and then I do way too much and then feel bad again.  I will try to be good today.  My appointment with the surgeon was cancelled yesterday.  She had emergency surgery.  So I am rescheduled for Tuesday.  I am hoping to get the port scheduled to be put in on Monday the 2nd.  So other then seeing the surgeon next week I think I am free of Drs. for a little while!!!  Yahooo!!!!! 

Okay all of the sandwiches that you told me about yesterday sound so good!  I have to try them all.  Now I just need to go to the deli.  How about soups?  Favorites? 

Thanks Mom and Dad for sending the beautiful flowers yesterday.  It was a great surprise and made my day!

Good morning!  I am a little tired this morning and don't have a ton of energy.  I guess that sixth one has taken more of a toll on me then the rest of the treatments.  That's okay.....I will be a couch and computer potato today.  I do have an appointment today at 3:00 with my surgeon here to discuss the installing of my port.  We will do it either this Monday or next Monday.  Not sure yet.  We'll have to look at what is open in the OR schedule at Pioneers Hospital.  I can't believe that I am having to do this again.  Please keep me in your prayers for strength.  Getting the port is a good thing.

Wooohooo I have a two week break!  6 down only 18 more to go!  I really am trying to look at the positive side here....as hard as that might be.  We will ALL get through this....I KNOW it!!!  I am setting for myself some fun goals to look forward to which I think will help me a lot.

Your prayers and good thoughts and support and encouragement are so valuable to me.  I couldn't of made it yesterday without you all.  I cried all the way to my appointment yesterday, but as soon as I got there I was absolutely fine.  Stayed strong and everything went great.  It is because of all of you.....so thanks!
