Good Sunday morning!!  First off,  I want to wish my sweet Mom a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY today!  Hope you have an awesome day today Mom!  We all love you lots!!

Prayers are being answered!  My legs are gaining their strength back! I was able to walk around Wal-Mart for a little bit yesterday.  Last night we went to the very fun 50th birthday (or is that 50itty?)  party for Mickey Dale and my legs did great at that too.  In fact I was feeling much stronger yesterday then I had in a long time.  The Dr. said when they start to feel better that I can start to exercise again and restrengthen the muscles.  So I will now start walking a little bit at a time.  I am very happy about that!  You know me.....I am not one to sit around at all.  So thank you for the constant prayers!  They are being answered!

Now to some serious business.  Charger fans....are you ready for some football?  Get those jerseys all ready to put on, get those football snacks ready and lets cheer them on to beat the Steelers.  They can do it!  GO SAN DIEGO CHARGERS!!!!!

Well I am off now to get ready to go to church.  Our new pastor starts today.  Very exciting!  I hope you all have a fun and relaxing day. 

GOD IS SO GOOD!!

Good morning!  Wow.....Mike and I slept in this morning.  Sleeping in for us is usually anything past 6:00 and we slept until almost 7:30.  We must of both needed it.  We are going to have a lazy morning and then Mike and I are going to run around this afternoon.  We have a birthday party tonight to go to also that we are looking forward to attending.  So if I am not too tired today and my legs hold up then that's the plan.

I found out yesterday that I now have an appointment in San Diego with my neurosurgeon, radiation oncologist and my regular oncologist all in the same day to go over the MRI results.  My MRI is on the 15th and my appointments are on the 19th.  I am still praying that they will see miracles!  Please pray for me as the test gets closer.  I am starting to feel that anxiety creep up again that I had the last time.  I have every faith though that God is healing me and has been healing me.  Thanks for praying my prayer warriors!

GOD IS JOY AND HE IS GOOD!!!!!

Good morning!  I slept really well last night.  Slept a lot yesterday too.  I am finally feeling that I am getting the rest that I have needed all along.  I was SPOILED yesterday.  First my friend Jessica Silva brought me breakfast and a Starbucks coffee in the morning.  I was able to visit and see her before she left for her month long trip to Africa.  I will miss her tons!  Keep her in your prayers for safety and to have a great experience.  Then my friend Patty McDonald brought me a boneless buffalo chicken salad from Chiles for lunch.  One of my favorite salads!  We ate and  were able to visit for a while too.  Then my daughter Jenna picked me up in the afternoon and took us to get a cherry limeade from Sonic and hang out at her house for a while and laugh and goof off..  I have cabin fever BAD!  It was so good to get out of my house for awhile.  Thanks Jenna......we always have so much fun. 

I am still very swollen from the steroids and my legs still hurt.  I am seeing slight improvement but will still take time to get better.  I am really missing my work right now and the kids.   The mind is so ready to be back.....the body isn't.  Thank you again for keeping me in your prayers.  Pray that the steroids leave my body fast, that my legs start to get stronger, for the upcoming chemo treatment on Wednesday and especially the MRI scan on Thursday.  I am praying that they see miracles when they look at that scan.

So.....what did you have for breakfast this morning???

Good morning!  What I predicted was going to happen has started happening.  You know I am off of the steroids.....so no more burst of energy.....and I just had a chemo treatment.  You guessed it.  I am fatigued and tired and I slept a lot yesterday.  I slept well last night too.  So I have finally crashed and burned and am sleeping a lot.  It was time.  I really think my body needed it.  I do feel slight improvement in my legs and swelling in general.  I know that will take time to get better......but I do see some improvement.  It still amazes me what awful things all those steroids can do to you.  Just keep praying they did what they were suppose to do in my brain.  My MRI is next Thursday. 

Thanks for the continued e-mails for prayer requests!  I have them all written down in a book and I am praying!  Please....if you have something that needs prayer for let me know.  I have tons of time to pray! leslie@mgilbert.net  Thank you all again for praying so much for me.  God is taking such good care of me.  His strength is seen through my weakness.

This Sunday is the Charger - Steeler game.  It is in Pittsburgh.  If we play like we have been......we can beat those Steelers!  GO CHARGERS!!!  You can do it!!  Aaahhhhh......can you tell I love Charger football?

Good morning!  All I can start off with is WOW!!  The tremendous support, love and encouragement that you left me through the comments on this blog yesterday was just amazing!  Thank you so much!!  I am so grateful and my spirits are so lifted!  God knew what I needed and you provided it......again what a blessing you all are to me.  I am very encouraged!  I know that I have only two more treatments left and that I can make it through.  I feel God strengthening my mind, body and spirit!  Oh the power of prayer!

Thanks also for the e-mails and phone calls and cards yesterday too.  Thank you Terrie Olstowski for bringing over a pot of homemade soup and cornbread for us last night.  It is so good!  Thanks to Lisa Alloway for sending me the bouquet of flowers.  They are so beautiful!  Again....WOW.....what a pick me up I had yesterday! 

I slept pretty good last night and other then feeling fatigued I am doing okay.  No nausea.  That is always a good thing!  I was told yesterday that it could take a couple of months before the steroids are out of my system and that I need to be patient.  Please pray for continued strengthening in my legs.

I love you all......thank you for being such a blessing in my life and my families lives.  I see God working in mighty ways.....and daily miracles!
