I have got some very EXCITING news to share.  My sweet friend Jessica Silva is engaged to be married to Ricardo Salgado!!!  Yaaaaay!!!  CONGRATULATIONS!!  We are so happy for you both!!

What a day in football games yesterday!  Going to the Super Bowl are the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints.  The Saints - Viking game was a hard one to watch because I was cheering for both sides.  How could you not want Brett Favre/Vikings to win?  But I love my Drew Brees/Saints because he was the former Charger quarterback and I wanted him to win too.  So my Super Bowl pick is...... GO SAINTS!!!!  You know my friends and family in Indiana are going to be mad at me.  Let me just say this.....I love Peyton Manning.......he is a good guy.....it is just that the Colts are a San Diego Charger rival team.....so gotta go with the SAINTS!!  Sorry to my mom and Indy family and Mary Jo.....but Monica is SAINTS all the way too!  :)

Good Saturday morning!!  What a beautiful morning it is too.  I looked outside and saw lots of blue sky and sunshine.  Yay!!!  Maybe it will help dry things up before it rains again.  They say we are suppose to get some more next week.

I had to show you this picture of Tyler that I took yesterday.  Poppi Mike was playing with him and he is now starting to chuckle.  It was so funny and we were all hysterically laughing because it was so cute.  Oh he is soooooo much fun!!  This is one boy that is showered in kisses all day long. 

I am feeling so much better today.  Feeling like my old self again.  I have been exercising to strengthen my body and it is working. 

What is everyone up to this weekend?  Whatever it is I hope you have a fun weekend and get some relaxing time in.  Of course we will be watching the playoffs tomorrow.  Should be interesting to see who goes to the Superbowl.  I will give you my pick on who I want to win the Superbowl when the games are over on Sunday.

Good morning!!!  It is Friday!!!  Yay!!  I am so ready for the weekend.  I think it is because I still don't feel so good.  My body must be in some sort of aftershock from Wednesday because I feel pretty yucky this morning.  I am hopeful that as the day wears on that I will feel better.

Thank you everyone for the sweet comments and e-mails and phone calls yesterday.  I appreciate that so much and thank God everyday for the wondeful support He has given me through all of you!  I am so blessed with great friends and family.

Wow.....we are having some rainy weather here.  Still suppose to rain more today.  I don't think my back yard can hold that much more water.  Unfortunately Mike had planted three new Eucalyptus trees a couple weeks ago and I don't know if they will make it because of all the water they are sitting in.

I have an update on my son-in-law Ryan.  He is doing great!  Ths knee surgery went fine and he should be back to his own self in a couple of weeks.  He is walking on it more and more.  Thank you for praying for him.

When I got to work yesterday morning I walked in and saw some gorgeous roses from my friends Jessica Silva and Randi Stilwell.  Thanks so much girls!  That really made my day and lifted my spirits.  What a nice surprise and they smell so good too!

Today is Starbucks day!!!  Jessica and I treat ourselves to them every Friday.  Jess is super sweet to pick them up for us each week!  Thanks Jess!

Home made soup or home made chili??????  What kind???

Good Thursday morning!!  First and foremost I would like to wish my very sweet friend Peggy Severe and very "Happy Birthday" to you today!!!  Tyler wants to say Happy Birthday too!  Have a fantabulous day today Peggy!!  (Isn't he cute?)

Wow......what a day I had yesterday!  One that I hope to never ever have to go through again.  It was very hard on me physically and emotionally. 

First..... thank you all so much for keeping Mike and I lifted in your prayers yesterday.  We sure needed them.  God is Good!

I got there and it took my sweet nurse two tries to get the IV started in my first arm and only once in the second arm.  Yay.... the veins took and we got started.  Right away I felt some tingling in my lips and the nurse said that was normal because the calcium in my body was bound by the anticoagulant.  So she fed me some TUMS.  Another 1/2 hour later my face started to tingle.....so more TUMS. At this point I was feeling very nauseated.  About 1 1/2 hours into what was suppose to be about a 3 to 3 1/2 hour procedure my arms felt like they had pressure in them.  At the two hour mark it felt like an elephant was sitting on my arms and legs and the tingling was out of control in my whole body.  It seriously felt like my whole body was asleep.  They immediately stopped the procedure then had to start a 3rd IV in my hand and  put calcium gluconate in me.

At this point I was miserable.  I was crying because I was so nauseated and my body was hurting.  I was having the worse allergic reaction that they had ever had on a patient that has been through this.  The staff could not of been nicer and really helped me in every way they could.

Now our huge prayer request is that they were able to get enough Dendritic cells to make the vaccine.  The Drs./scientists that were there seem to think that maybe they did.  They may have to do some manipulating with my cells but are very hopeful.  Won't know anything for about 2 weeks.

Mike was my rock yesterday and I could tell you all day long how much I love him.  I am a very blessed woman to have such a terrific hubby by my side.  My sister Monica is an angel.  She spoils me rotten and takes care of everything that I need to get done.  Thanks Monica!!  Jen and Jeff.....you are awesome!

Posted from Monica:  Leslie had a bad reaction to the treatment and they had to stop it without being able to complete the process.  She is okay but shaken up.  It was a very bad experience and she really could use everyone's prayers for strength right now.  Leslie will update you with more and better details tomorrow, but they are hoping they were able to get enough in order to make the vaccine.  Please also pray they are able to make the vaccine from what they have so she can continue with the process. 

Thank you for your prayers and support for Leslie and Mike.  They can really use it right now!  Thank you God for getting her through this, the amazing advances in medical technology, and all of the blessings in our lives.  They will be leaving Orange County in about an hour and heading back home to Imperial.  Pray for safe travels with the weather as they head home.
