Good Tuesday morning!!  BIG PRAYER REQUEST DAY from me.

First and foremost I would like to ask if you could please pray for my sister-in-law Lori.  This is my older brother John's wife.  They were told yesterday that she does have breast cancer.  We don't know any more details right now.  She is seeing her Dr. today and they are going from there.  I know the long haul they are in for and I am just praying that it goes smooth and that she is completely healed.  My brother John has gone through so much in his life already including losing a 17 year old son a few years ago.  He is strong and I know the Lord will get them both through this too.

Second.....my son-in-law Ryan is having knee surgery this morning. It is outpatient surgery and he should be back home this afternoon.  Pray that everything goes smooth there and that his recovery is quick and that he won't be in much pain.

Third......Mike and I leave tonight for San Diego to spend the night at Monica and Gregg's house and then get up super early to be at Hoag Hospital at 8:00 on Wednesday.  Wednesday's procedure will be the hardest part of this whole ordeal.  Pray for me to have strong veins and that everything goes well for me.  I am a bit nervous......well really a whole lot nervous......but will get through this too.  I will try to have my sister update you on how it went when I am done.  The other part of this is the weather.  It has been raining and will continue to rain a lot while we are on the road.  Pray for us a safe trip.

Also continued prayer for the people in Haiti.  Christie Ellis.....tell your boys that they rock!!  Love that they are giving part of their allowance.  Good luck to Spencer in his spelling bee on Thursday!

Wow....that was a lot to lay on you all.  Thanks for praying for my family and others!  God does hear all of our prayers and I am so thankful for how faithful He has been to all of us.  If you have a prayer request please let me know leslie@mgilbert.net You know I will be praying too!!

Have a wonderful day everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!!

During the same afternoon we decided to leave for a while and visited a local dairy that some good friends of ours owns.  We took a tour and showed Tyler his first cows.  Tyler could of stayed there all day looking at them.  Can't wait until he is old enough to go to the zoo!  That will be fun!

It was a sad day in football yesterday.  My Chargers lost.  Such a bummer but I still love them.  Oh well.....there is always next year.

I have had a great weekend!  Been fun and relaxing!  Jenna, Tyler and I are going out to lunch again today and running some errands.  Jenna and I are taking advantage of all these days off together while we can.  Jen has to go back to work on February 1st.  I am so thankful to God that she was able to stay home with Tyler for three months!

Looks like it is getting ready to rain today.  Suppose to rain a lot this week.  We will see.

Have a marvelous day today everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!  Thank you God for great opportunities!

What was the last thing you baked?  I made some pumpkin bread yesterday.  So good!

Good Saturday morning!!  What is everyone up to this weekend?  Today Jenna, Tyler and I are going out to lunch and doing some running around.  Tyler loves to be outside and riding in his stroller.  The family is also going to be watching football playoff games too.

I want to wish a belated "Happy Birthday" to our wonderful friend Mickey Dale!  I hope you had an awesome birthday Mick.  We will have to celebrate it with you soon! Are you ready for football this weekend Dale family?  Also I want to wish my nephew Joshua a very "Happy Birthday" today to you!  Have a super fun day today Joshua!

I want to congratulate Travis and Jessica Coyne who are expecting their first baby in September!!  So happy for you both!  I know your parents must be really excited and will absolutely love being grandparents!

Could you all please keep in prayer my sister-in-law Lori?  She has found a lump in her breast and they will be doing a biopsy on it soon.  Please pray that it is just a cyst and not cancer.  I will keep you updated.

I know that you have all heard and seen the devastation going on in Haiti right now.  Let's all keep them lifted up in our prayers.  My heart aches for all that is going on down there.   Wish I could fly over there to help.  If you all have even $5.00 dollars to spare please donate it to the Red Cross.  That is a country that could really use it right now.

Also wanted to say GO SAN DIEGO CHARGERS!!!!!!!!!  I won't be blogging again until Monday but I will have some more pictures to share with you then.  Have a fantabulous weekend everyone!!!  Today is another precious gift from God and He is so Good!  Thank you God for our salvation in you!

Have you ever gotten a 'charlie horse' in your calf muscle before?  Ooohhhh I got one in the middle of the night last night.  Ouch!!!  Must be all of the new squats I am doing with physical therapy now.

Good morning!!  It is Friday!!  Yahoo!!  I am ready for a three day weekend!!  Yesterday Jenna, our friend Peggy Severe and I went to visit Tanya Iten again to see her new baby Wyatt. Of course Grandma Lisa was there too.  Wyatt is almost two weeks old and Tyler is 2 1/2 months old.  Here is a picture of the babies laying on the blanket together.  It was so cute!  We didn't want to put them too close together because Tyler likes to fling his arms around and I didn't want him to sock Wyatt.  :)

I swear that we did not plan the color of our outfits.....but here is Jenna, me and Tyler, Lisa, Wyatt and Tanya.  Both Tanya and Jenna fit into their jeans already.  Wow......fast!  And no I am not that tall....I had some very high heels on that day.  :)  Can you tell we are happy mom's and grandma's??

Thanks for all the fun yesterday afternoon girls!

I have more pics to share with you all but my blog site is getting full so Mike has to trim off some of the stuff I posted from the beginning.  Then I will have more room.  I am saving everything from the beginning in a file though.  I want to keep it forever.

Aunt MaryAnn.....Mike nor I are sure how much blood they will go through on the procedure Wednesday.  Will know when I get there.  I'll keep you updated on that too.

Thank you so much everyone for the INCREDIBLE support, encouragement and love that I have received over this last week.  God is so good!!! I cherish your prayers.  I know it is what gets me through.  This is also building my faith and trust in God even more.  God has seen me through so much and I know he is here getting me through this too.  This is so much easier then what I went through before.......way easier.  Once I get past Wednesday I will be greatly relieved!

Have a fantabulous day everyone!!  I am wearing my Charger jersey to school today.  GO CHARGERS!!!  (They don't play until Sunday)

Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!!  Thank you God for joy!!

What did you have for breakfast this morning??  Me.....cereal and coffee.  :)

Good Tuesday evening!  We are back home!!  It was a long day but good.  The meeting at the Hoag hospital went really well.  I am completely overwhelmed right now.  They gave Mike and I soooooooo much information.  I had to sign a cabillion papers too.  We are getting started next Wednesday with a procedure called leukopheresis.  Blood will be removed from my body, spun to remove dendryte cells, and returned to me.  The dendryte cells will be combined with my tumor cells to make the vaccine.  Sooooo that means I will have an IV started in each arm with a vascular surgeon on standby in case my veins don't hold up.  They will then have to put a temporary catheter in my chest and then remove it as soon as the procedure is done. Whole thing should take a few of hours.

I will then wait 3 weeks and then my injections will start, blood work and skin tests.  I will be poked with needles way more then I care to think about.  I have got to take this one day at a time.  This is a super wonderful opportunity for me for which I am  grateful for and I am so glad that I am healthy and able to do it.  But that doesn't make going through this any easier.

I know God doesn't give you any more then you can handle.  I guess God thinks that I can handle some more.  Do I have anxiety?  A little bit.  But I know with all of your prayers and support this too shall pass.

The people at the Hoag hospital could not have been nicer.  They treated me like a queen.  I am truly blessed.  God has put the most wonderful people in place for me.  He is holding my hand and taking care of everything.  Mike is awesome.......the love and support he has for me is amazing.

Prayer requests......that my veins are strong for next Wednesday, that mentally I am ready and that this vaccine works!  By me doing this it will help tons of people down the road to hopefully not have to go through what I have been through the last two years.  Thank you so much already for praying.  I do feel those prayers!  Through my weakness.....God's miraculous power shines!

Have a great evening and day tomorrow everyone!!  I will blog again Friday morning.  Today is another precious gift from God and He is so Good!!

P.S.  Are you all watching American Idol???  Try outs have been so funny!  :)
