HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!!

Good morning!!  Can you tell that I am so very happy right now??   I have been doing the happy dance ever since I left the doctors office!  My scans are all clear.....he gave me a full check up and everything looks good.  My blood levels are still low but he said that that is what is normal for me at this time.  Slowly my body will build them back up.  I just need to stay away from people that I know are sick.  Other then that I am good to go.

I will be starting some physical therapy to help my muscles that were damaged this year to get strong again.  Don't know the details yet.  Mike is going to find out for me when he gets to work today.  Luckily the hospital has a physical therapy department.  It will be some hard work on my part but worth it when I am done.

I do not have to run any more tests God willing until the middle of March.  So I have two months off.  I will be looking into getting my port removed soon.  Need to talk to my surgeon  here in the valley first.

I also have some great news concerning a vaccine that is possibly going to be ready for me in the next few months.  I will write more about that later tomorrow but it sounds like a very promising thing.

God is so good!!  I am a walking miracle!!!  I am healed and all my thanks and praise goes to God!  The longer I stay cancer free the better my chances are of it not recurring.  So I am asking you all to please keep on praying for me.  Pray that I stay in remission and that this will never come back again.  I will always keep the faith and HOPE!!

I do owe all of you a BIG (((((((HUG))))))) and thank you for keeping me and my family in your prayers and for constantly keeping us encouraged in one way or another.  The support I have had from ALL of you has been incredible!  Words can't express how grateful me and my family are.

Looking forward to helping others in 2010.  I ask the Lord everyday to open my eyes to those around me that need prayers and help.  I do faithfully pray everyday.  So if there is something or you know someone who needs prayer let me know.  leslie@mgilbert.net

Good morning!!  Best friends......Here is a picture of Wyatt Iten and Tyler.  It is so hard to believe that Tyler was that small two months ago!  Wyatt is such a cute, sweet little guy.  Tanya looks great and Nana Lisa is walking on cloud nine.  She is like me and has her camera ready to take pictures all of the time!  Congratulations again Tanya and Joe!!  Of course I have to say my Tyler is precious too!  :)

Well I am off today after work (and Mike) to go and see my oncologist Dr. McClay in San Diego (Encinitas).  I am ready for the results to my PET scan and to have a full check up.  Thanks so much for keeping us in your prayers.  Either I or my sister will let you know how it all went.  I am ready to "Happy Dance!"  How about you???  :)

It was good getting back to work and seeing the staff and kids again!  The kids were very excited to talk about their vacation and all the things they got for Christmas!

Good Sunday evening!!  Yes...I am blogging tonight so I can sleep in till the last possible minute tomorrow morning.  :)  I wanted to show you these three baby pictures.  On the left is Ryan at 2 months.  The middle pic is of Tyler at 2 months.  The right pic is of Jenna at 2 months.  You tell me.....who does Tyler look like??  Tyler and Jenna's baby pictures look just alike.  If you saw Jenna's baby album Tyler is the spitting image of his momma.

I want to say a HUGE congratulations to my sweet friend Lisa Alloway's daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Joe on the birth of their son Wyatt Larry Iten.  He was born on Saturday, weighing in at 7lbs even and 20 1/2 inches long.  Jenna and I are going to go and see little Wyatt when I get off of work tomorrow.(Monday)  Can't wait!! 

I have a prayer request for a good friend of mine.  She is having some health issues and is waiting on results from some tests she had done recently.  Could you pray that God will heal her of this and that she won't be in  pain anymore.  That the Drs. will make the right decision on her treatment.  Thank you!

I see my oncologist on Tuesday for the results to my full body PET scan.  I will be working, going to San Diego in the afternoon and coming back in the evening.  I will be exhausted.  I am asking for prayers for strength to get through the day and of course for great results.  Will post what my oncologist says when I get home or have my sister do it.

Another San Diego Charger win!!!!  We have a bye this week so I don't know who we play yet in the playoffs for the next week.  GO CHARGERS!!!!  ALL THE WAY!!!!

Good Saturday morning!  Only two more days of what has been a wonderful, fun, relaxing vacation.  I really enjoyed my time off but it is time to go back to work on Monday.  It will be great seeing the kids again and hearing their stories of what they got for Christmas.  It will also be great to see my co-workers again too. 

I am going on a date with my handsome hubby today.  We are going to see the Sherlock Holmes movie.  I have heard already from a few people that it was a really good movie.  I haven't seen Blind Side either but want to soon.  Haven't decided yet on where we are going to dinner.......any suggestions???  :)

The San Diego Chargers host The Washington Redskins tomorrow.  It is the last game of the regular season.  Then playoff time!!  Go CHARGERS!!!!
