Update:  ANSWERED PRAYER!!  THE SCAN WAS GOOD!  Thank you God!!  Thank you friends for your prayers!  The doctor saw one tiny little spot but isn't concerned at this time and says things look good!  Leslie and Mike are happy dancing in the car on their drive back to the Valley!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  GOD IS GOOD!

The prayer power has never been tried to its full capacity…if we want to see mighty wonders of divine power and grace wrought in the place of weakness, failure and disappointment, let us answer God’s standing challenge, “Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.  ~anonymous

Good Wednesday morning!!  Well today is the big day.  My appointment with Dr. McClay isn't until 4:00 this afternoon (pacific time).  My sister will update the blog with the news just as soon as she can after my appointment.  I cannot begin to thank you all for praying for me and for my results today.  If you could also send up a prayer for mine and Mike's anxiety as we drive to my appointment.  That is one of the hardest things because it takes 2 1/2 hours to get to Encinitas and once I am in the car, anticipating what Dr. McClay will say drives me crazy.

I read this on a car license plate frame on Sunday and thought it was cool.  It said.... I read the book...God wins!

Here is another picture of Tyler playing in the wheat field.

Good Tuesday morning!!  I read this yesterday.  It is a quote from Rick Warren who wrote "The Purpose Driven Life" What on earth am I here for?   If you have not read this book before, I have it and will loan it to whoever wants to read it.  I know a lot of people have already.  It was a good book.  I may have used this quote before but it is worth repeating.

"Time is your most precious gift because you only have a set amount of it. You can make more money, but you can't make more time. When you give someone your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you'll never get back. Your time is your life. That is why the greatest gift you can give someone is your time.
It is not enough to just say relationships are important; we must prove it by investing time in them. Words alone are worthless. "My children, our love should not be just words and talk; it must be true love, which shows itself in action." Relationships take time and effort, and the best way to spell love is "T-I-M-E."

It just takes a minute or two to call someone and check on them, send a card, take them a coffee or stop by their house to say hello.  We all know of someone who could use a minute of our time to make their day.  It will make your day too!

I am writing about time today because so many of you have taken your time for me.  You keep me uplifted and encouraged in so many ways!  Thank you for your continued encouragement of me!  I am humbled by so many who are praying for me and my appointment on Wednesday.  I FEEL THE LOVE!
Here is Tyler sitting in his toy box at Nani's house.  He took all his toys out and climbed in.  I asked him why he is sitting in his toybox?  He held up his hands like "I don't know".  haha!

I would like to wish a very "Happy Birthday" to my friend Kori Wainscott!  Have a fantastic day Kori.  Let your girls spoil you!

Prayer requests:  Please pray for someone who is suffering right now from bad decisions that they made in the past.  They want the prayer warriors to pray for things to get better and for the right guidance for their life now.  Also for a few people who recently this past week lost a loved one.  Please pray for comfort and strength for their families.

Psalms 65 verse 2:  And because you answer prayer, all mankind will come to you with their requests.

Read the bible in a year:  Today....Exodus 22 -24.  Tomorrow (Wednesday) Exodus 25 -27.  I have to say that I am hearing that this is going well for everyone.  I am loving it!

Have a terrific day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Question:  Are you a first born, middle child or the baby?  I was number two out of four so I guess that qualifies me as a middle child.  Were you spoiled?  uuummm....Monica?  :)

Good Monday morning!!  How was your weekend?  My goodness!  Talk about the holy power of prayer!  I went in to have my PET scan done on Saturday and was met by a 6 foot 5 inch man by the name of Carl.  Carl was an angel sent by God.  He and I immediately hit it off.  We happily talked about our shared faith and the power of prayer.  He wanted to know a little about my story and I shared.  He said that he sees me as a full cup of water.  He said I am sprinkling the water from my glass the hope, love and faith of God to many people.  (I didn't even tell him about my blog either).  As I was leaving he gave me a great big smile, said he was happy to have met me and sent me away with a blessing.  As I walked out it hit me......Carl was an angel.  Talk about feeling God surround me when I needed him so much. The calmness I felt is hard to put to words.  I was at peace the whole time, Carl got the IV in my hand on the first try and everything went smooth.  My heartfelt thanks to all of you for your commitment to pray for me and my health.  God's blessings and miracles continue to flow.

Now the big day to find out the results is on Wednesday afternoon.  I have to admit I am a little nervous about what Dr. McClay is going to say.  But I know God is bigger then all of this cancer stuff and what ever happens on Wednesday He will help me through it too.  I am asking for prayer for a clean scan (which I already know you are praying for) and that I won't have to go on chemo again.

We had a fun family/friends (Jeff & Cami S.) dinner last night.  Mike made his famous homemade Chinese food.  Oh it is so good!  Also saw some of the playoff games.  So it is the Packers and the Steelers going to the Superbowl.  Who is going to win???

Here are a couple of pictures of Tyler reading with his Great-Grandpa Frank.  This is and has been Tyler's favorite book to read.   He loves to count and sing the ABC's with you.  So cute!  He loves his great-papa!!

Prayer requests:  Please pray for a young man named Derek who has been ill for quite some time now (months) and the Drs. cannot figure out what is wrong with him.  Please pray they find out what it is and that he will be completely healed from it.  Pray that he stays encouraged.  Because of being sick for so long he is understandably depressed.  Also for someone who has a job interview on Friday.  Pray it goes well and that she gets the job!

Psalms 63 verses 3 & 4:  For your love and kindness are better to me than life itself.  How I praise you!  I will bless you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer.

Read the bible in a year:  Today, Exodus chapters 19 - 21.  Tomorrow (Tuesday) Exodus 22 -24.

Have a marvelous day everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Question.........Would you rather spend a day to yourself hiking beautiful mountains or walking along a beautiful beach???

I am so sorry.  I should have given an update yesterday.  PET scan went well.  I will fill you more in about it tomorrow.  Thank you for praying!  :)

Good Saturday morning!!  Thank you for the awesome love, encouragement and prayers about this morning.  I am ready to go and get this PET scan done.  You know while I am there I will be lifting everyone else up in prayer.  I wrote down all the prayer requests from yesterday too and will be praying.

Mike and I were invited to go to a fish fry at our friend Mike Pearson's house last night. (Mike is also the nurse I told you about before that takes such great care of me)  It was a lot of fun and I actually ate some very well prepared sting ray.  Who knew I would like that?? But it was so good.  We also had some grouper and trigger fish.  I ate a lot but need to quit talking about food now or I will start to get hungry. haha!  Thanks Mike and Maria for hosting a great evening.

After church tomorrow I'm going to be watching the playoff's.  I wonder which two teams will make it to the Superbowl???  Since my Chargers are not in it, I am pretty much going to look forward to the Superbowl commercials and food more then the game.  After the games on Sunday I will give you my pick on who I would like to see win it.  What are your plans for the weekend?

When Tyler came over the other day, I of course had to take some pics of him playing outside.  Here he is with our cat Paisley.  He is running, getting ready to pet her and Paisley is getting ready to make a run for it.

Good Friday morning!!  I am so ready for the weekend.....just not the part where I have to do the PET scan.  Oh well, that too will pass. God will be holding my hand.   My PET scan appointment is at 10:00 Saturday morning.  What I need specific prayer for......that they will get my vein on the first try.  I didn't tell you all that it took them a couple of times till they got my IV in when I had the gamma knife surgery done.  They would try and the vein would just blow.  Getting an IV is a really hard thing for me to do, as silly as that sounds.  I get teary eyed just thinking about it.  Maybe it is because I have always had trouble with them.  Also pray for me to not be hungry.  By the time I will get to eat it will probably be 1:00 in the afternoon.  Most of you know that I wake up hungry every morning.  But most of all, my prayer request is that I will have a clear scan and that I will hear good results from Dr. McClay on Wednesday.  I know that you all have been faithfully praying.  I am soooooo thankful!  May God bless you.  God is in control.

Here is another pic of Tyler in the desert running to Nani who is trying to take a picture of him before he gets to me.  lol  His little t-shirt is from his great-grandparents when they went to Alaska this past summer.

Psalms 56 verses 3 & 4:  But when I am afraid, I will put my confidence in you. Yes, I will trust the promises of God.  And since I am trusting him, what can mere man do to me?
