We are going to be headed out to San Diego soon.  Mike will keep you updated  on how it is all going.  I thank God each and every day for all of you that are praying faithfully for me.   The support and love I have received has been such a huge blessing to me and my family.  I feel like we are all on this journey together.  God is providing each and every step of the way.  We are very grateful and can't thank you enough.

Huge thanks to my awesome church family,  First Christian in El Centro.  The love, support  and prayers they have showered on me and my family is incredible.

Thanks Mickey & Peggy Dale for that special gift.

Thank you Terrie Olstowski and Susy Davila for the baked goodies.  They are going with me on my trip.

Thank you George and Araceli Miranda for bringing us dinner.  We appreciated it so much.

Wow!  What a surprise I had today!  My friend Kathy Seeger threw me a surprise "Happy Chemo Send Off Party."  I arrived at her house this afternoon thinking that Kathy had a little something to give to me and my friend Denise Rogers answered the door and there sitting in the living room were a ton of my friends!  We ate (the food was awesome) and laughed and they all gave me the best gifts for pampering myself and to keep myself busy while I recover.  It was something that I will remember my whole life.   Thank you all so much!  The blessings continue to flow down from God to me and my whole family and we are incredibly thankful.

Kathy has been so special to me since I was diagnosed.  She is a cancer survivor and has been so wonderful and helpful and supportive to me since day one.  She has really helped to prepare me for what is to come.  Thanks Kathy for all that you have done for me and for being there 24/7.  You are an angel!  This all meant so much to me.

Thanks to all of you that came.  Thanks for making me laugh so much.  I needed that.  Oh and by the way.....I am sure that I gained another pound!  :)  I needed that too!!

Good Friday morning!  I have another prayer request.  I am still having lots of problems with swelling and nerve ending pain in my left arm and chest.  Could you pray that it starts getting better real soon.  It would be nice to have some relief from it before I start my treatments next week.  Thank you very much.

Thank you to our dear friend Christina Santos for bringing us the delicious soup!  We loved it!  I loved your card Amarie Santos......you did a beautiful job on it!

I just got finished with my phone conference with Dr. McClay's office.  I will start my Chemo treatments on Tuesday,  February 26th at 10:00.  I will have my next treatment on Wednesday, February 27th at 10:00.  On Thursday morning, February 28th I go in for some shots and then I can come home.  Mike will keep you updated each day on how things are going.  We will be staying with my sister Monica during that time.  Thanks for faithfully praying for me.  I feel all of the prayers and my family and I are so lifted up by them.

Praise God....the results of my scans yesterday came back clear!

A special thanks to Lisa Alloway and Patty McDonald and family and Jodi Kelley for the wonderful meals that you brought out.  We appreciate that so very much!

Thank you...thank you.....thank you.... for all of your prayers!!  I am done with the tests and very relieved.  They got the IV in the first time with no problems and the veins held up well.  I stayed pretty strong during the process but I am not going to lie....I still got really anxious about the IV.  You see... I really do have a big fear when it comes to them so I am tearfully asking for your prayers to keep me strong for when I start the chemo next week.  Part of me just doesn't know how I am going to do it, but I know God is with me and He is in control and I have been blessed by so many wonderful people who are praying for me and encouraging me and who love me dearly.  I am holding on to the verse in Phil. 4:6.  Thank you for all of the wonderful notes, e-mails and cards that you send.  I love them and it really makes my day.  Tomorrow I will know the exact day that I start my chemo.  I won't find out till late afternoon but will let you all know when I do.

Thank you Jessica Silva for one of the best evenings ever.  That was a lot of fun and I will never forget it.  And yes....I gained another pound.

Peggy Dale......thanks for your gift of verses.....I look forward to picking one each day and I am so uplifted by it.  They are exactly what I need right now.

Karla Horne....keep those encouraging words and visuals coming...I love them!

Randi Stilwell....I came home to your message today and laughed and laughed.  Thanks!

My hope and faith is in you Lord.  You are my strength.  Leslie
