Good morning everyone!  Tomorrow I am going to have my full body cat scan and MRI brain scan done at 11:00 a.m.  They want it done with contrast so that means that they will start an IV.  Could you please keep me in your prayers at that time that they get the IV started fine, that my veins stay strong and that I don't get anxiety over the whole thing.  I appreciate your encouragement and prayers very much.  I will give you an update tomorrow afternoon on how it all went.

Thank you Cheryl Hargrove for everything that you do for me every single day.  God is good!!!!

I have to go in today at 12:00 noon to have another full body cat scan done and a MRI brain scan.  Thankfully I can do this here at my local hospital Pioneer Memorial.  The only bummer today is that they have to start another IV because they want these tests done with contrast.  While I am trying to give my right arm a rest so the veins are ready for chemo I have to do this again.  I could use your prayers today that they find a vein the first time and that it will all go real smoothly.  I will write an update later.  Thanks so much.  I am so uplifted by all of your prayers.

***Update*** Pioneers Hospital called and said that their cat scan machine is down so they have rescheduled me for the tests for  February 20th at 11:00.  Thanks for your prayers and continued prayers.  I am happy about the delay.  My arm really needed the rest.

Just want to send out a special thanks to all of the girls that came to my house tonight to not only bring me out a wonderful dinner but also celebrate a pre-Valentines Day  fun with me.  They decorated my house with cute Valentines stuff, we laughed and shared some great stories and they really made me forget about all of the things that I am going through right now for a little while.  So thanks Jessica S., Lisa A. , Randi R., Randi S., Peggy S. , Patty W., Jenna M., Christina S. and Carla P.  Thanks for delivering the "special" gift.  I will have more thank you's about that later.  Love you girls so much.

We are headed off to San Diego this morning to see the oncologist  Dr. McClay. The appointment is at 11:30.  We could really use your prayers at that time.   We will have an update for you later this evening.  Thanks!

****UPDATE**** We are home.  We are in love with my oncologist.  He is the best and genuinely cares about me.  We left there feeling on top of the world.  I will start my chemo treatments the week of February 25th.  Don't have a date yet on which two days it will be but should know this week.  I have another scan that needs to be done first.  My prayer needs now are that the veins in my right arm heal and get stronger.  They had a bad time today getting blood from me because they are already so bruised and abused.  We can only use the right arm from now on and the veins have to be strong to start the chemo.  The IV treatments are 6 hours long each day.  My other prayer request is that I don't suffer too badly from the side effects.  Thank you for the uplifting prayers today and for the many days ahead.  God continues to bless us so much each day.

Thank you to my dear friend Patty Watson for bringing us dinner tonight.  It was the best comfort food!  So delicious!  I know it will help fatten me up. :)
