The response to the benefit breakfast this morning was just overwhelming.  Randi Ross & Patty Watson had everything so well organized, the workers worked their fingers to the bone, the whole city of Imperial turned out along with PMH employees and even two snowbirds from Canada.  I couldn't be there the whole morning (have to stay away from cooties!) but I was able to stop by for a few minutes.  It was so good to see everyone and everyone looked like they were having a great time. I miss you all so much!   I got a breakfast plate to take home and it was delicious!  Thanks to Amy Balzer for the beautiful sign that you made for the breakfast.  You are so creative and talented.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!  Really...you don't know how much I love and appreciate you guys and all that you do for my family and me.

Also thanks to my friends Stacey & Pat Barbee for the Tri-Tip dinner.  Mike says it was the best Tri-Tip he has ever eaten and I have to agree.  We want the recipe!

We have a new blog banner - thanks to Kori Wainscott, our talented and dear friend from Indiana.  Thanks Ella McDonald for my adorable build a bear and for the visit. I decided to name her Hope.  I  absolutely love the card you made for me.  Also thanks so much to my friend  Krissy Hobelman and Family for the awesome dinner!  It was great!

My day was good.  I felt so much better today.   Thanks for the continuous prayers.  I treasure that the most.

We went to the yacht repair dock today and had Leslie's anchor removed!

(Translation)  Went to the surgeon and had Leslie's drainage tube taken out.  The drain removal itself went real well (Leslie said it stung a little).  We knew Dr Barone was going to be out today and one of the other surgeons in the office took care of us.  Unfortunately his bedside manner wasn't so great and he wasn't very encouraging.  This is the second doc who has done this to us, maybe they are just unaware of the recent advances.  Maybe it is some type of twisted "tough love", that they want to impress on us the seriousness of the situation so we will continue through with treatment.  Or maybe they just don't realize that we have thousands of people praying for us and God is in control!

Mike and I will be leaving early tomorrow morning for my appointment with the surgeon.  I am so ready for the drainage tube to be out and to see how my progress is going.  I will let you know tomorrow evening when we return.  I am feeling better everyday.  Thank you all for the tremendous out pouring of love, prayers, support and encouragement.  My family and I feel so blessed!  All of the get well cards, flowers and gifts have really made my day.  I love and appreciate them!

I admit that I am not really the betting type, but I was so sure that the San Diego Chargers were going to beat the New England Patriots to get into the Super Bowl.  Well my friend and coworker Amy Bonillas is a huge Chicago Bear fan, and we made a bet.   If I did lose I had to put on a Bears jersey and post it on the blog.  Well we all know what happened so this picture was literally taken the night before my surgery.  This is for you Amy.... but you didn't specify that I couldn't put the Chargers somewhere in the picture! :)   (my Sister - in- law Lori will be thrilled ....she's a huge Bears fan too!)

A big thank  you to my very dear friend Jessica Silva for bringing us a wonderful dinner!  We loved it Jess!  It was perfect!
