Leslie's  recovery is going  really well.  We have an appointment with the surgeon either Friday or Monday.  She has an appointment with the oncologist on Tuesday,  February 12th.  She won't start the chemo then but will very shortly there after.  Will keep you posted on how it goes with both Doctors.  Keep up the prayers!  They are working in so many ways.  So many blessings and stories to share with you all in the future.  Thanks.

Thanks Amy Bo for the awesome dinner!  I loved it!  The picture you are waiting for is soon coming. (Leslie)  :)

Leslie had a great day today!  The nausea is gone and she had a great appetite!  She also had a good night of sleep.  Peggy Severe brought us out a very delicious dinner.  Thanks Peggy!  We really appreciated it. Thanks to all that came by to see her today.  She loves her new robe from Denise R. & Monica S.  We know how blessed we are with all of the support of our friends and family.  Thanks for your encouragement and praying for us faithfully.

8:30 pm - We're finally home.  Dr Barone came in about 5:00 and said Leslie could go home!  He removed all the lymph nodes (levels 1, 2, & 3) from under her arm.  There is a nerve that sometimes has to be removed to get all the nodes, but he was able save it.  He will be talking to Dr McClay about the possibility of radiation therapy too, we'll see what happens.  We also got the PET scan results which showed no tumors other than those in the left underarm, so now Leslie is tumor free!!! (but not yet cancer free)

The surgery went well and the recovery was good until about 5:00 this morning.  The few doses of morphine Leslie had during the night caught up with her causing nausea.  That, combined with a lack of sleep, made for a rather uncomfortable day.  She's feeling much better at home now and looking forward to a good night's sleep in her "marshmallow" reclining chair.

Thank you all so much for your calls, support, and prayers.  We got home today to gifts in the mail and a million cards from the CKMB ladies.  Thank you!!!

PS - Beach picture posted below as promised
