Good morning!  How was your weekend?  Mine turned out to be pretty good.  While I had my times of not feeling so well I had a nice weekend.  Yesterday Mike and I went to San Diego.  Mike had to be somewhere so he dropped me off at my sister Monica's house and she entertained me well.  She took me to find a pair of shoes for a wedding I am going to soon and took me to a fun lunch at Joe's Crab Shack.  If you have never been to that restaurant, you need to go.  Food is fabulous and the atmosphere is great.  We came back to her house so I could rest and she made an awesome dessert for us.  I was stuffed.  We pretty much kicked back the rest of the day.  Thanks for the fun Monica.....and for letting me stare at your walls for awhile! :)

Today will be pretty kick back for me.  I do have one appointment today.  Tomorrow I go to the hospital for more blood work and Wednesday is chemo day.  After my last chemo treatment I felt the worse I had since I started, so if you could pray for me that this round will go better.  That my body will tolerate it better.  Thank you so very much!

Good Sunday morning!!  Thank you for all of your prayers yesterday.  They were working!  I felt good enough to go to the shower and had a great time!  We had a ton of food, fun games, and Lacey received some beautiful things.  Everyone laughed and had a lot of fun.

I am off with Mike to San Diego for the day.  He has a meeting up there so he is going to drop me off at my sister Monica's house to spend the day.  Have a wonderful day.

Good Saturday morning!!  How is everyone today?  I was pretty much down most of the day again yesterday.  I am not feeling so hot, dealing with some side effect issues and am tired.  I hope that today will be much better.  Jenna and I have just about everything ready for our friend Lacey's bridal shower.  Looking forward to it and to having some fun and seeing old friends.  I'll take some pictures today and hopefully post some tomorrow.  Could you please pray that I start feeling a little better and get some strength back?

Most of all this morning could you all please add my friend Bill Cartwright to your prayer list.  It was confirmed yesterday that his cancer is back.  He will be starting treatments for it next week.  Bill......I know you will fight this one again and win!  Keep the faith!  You have a lot of people around you that love and care for you so much.  God will be holding your hand too.

Good Friday morning!!  I was so tired yesterday and felt a little yucky all day so I pretty much stayed down most of the day and slept.  I did real well last night.  This morning I am feeling much better with a little more energy.  I hope it lasts.  I am not one to lay around all day......drives me nuts.  I like to be up and about and doing something all the time.  I know.....I won't push today.  I have to save my strength for a bridal shower that my daughter Jenna and I have been planning for a long time.  It is tomorrow.  Looking forward to it.  It will be fun!

I got a praise yesterday on a little boy who got a clean bill of health!  Yeah.....we'd been praying and I am thrilled he is okay.  But please keep in your prayers my friends son who is still in critical condition and for my friend Bill Cartwright's health.  I am faithfully praying for your requests.  Again....please let me know if you need prayers on anything.....it doesn't matter how small.......just let me know. leslie@mgilbert.net

Good morning!  Whoa.....yesterday kicked me in the behind some.  I was VERY tired when I got home and just crashed and went to sleep.  I have been fighting a low red cell count this  last couple of weeks......well I received a phone call last night from the Cancer Center saying that my red cell count was very low,  (they draw blood every week) that I am anemic and will be going to the hospital this week for an injection shot.  I have to get that back to a normal level so they won't postpone my treatments at all.  I have been working with my dietician daughter also on the things I can eat to help and have now started some iron tablets.  Please pray that I can get the red cell count levels back to normal in my body.  No wonder I have been feeling extra tired lately.  Other then that the treatment went fine and my nurse was awesome.

Sooooo.......guess what I'll be doing today???  A whole lot of nothing.  I have to rest.  So you all know where I'll be today! :)  Thank you so much for praying for me yesterday.  I sure felt those prayers.  2 down, 4 more to go in this cycle.  I can do it!
