UPDATE......I am home and had an awesome time!  It was GREAT seeing the staff and kids!  Just had to go and get it out of my system.  I hope to be able to visit again soon.  Now it is time for a nap.....Ha!  You all knew that was coming!  Hope you are having a super day today!  ((HUGS))

Good Friday morning!!  I am very excited this morning and I need to type this quick so I can get ready.  I am going to visit the staff and students at the school I work at (Waggoner) today.  I am so looking forward to it.  I miss the kids and staff so much!  They are having a staff vs. the 5th grade students baseball game this morning and some Valentine's fun today.  I can hardly wait!  I know....I know......I will be extra careful!  I promise!  But I feel pretty good this morning and I am raring to go!

I will try to come on later to tell you how it went.  Thank you Randi Stilwell for bringing me by a Starbucks yesterday!  What a sweetie you are!

So what does everyone have planned for Valentine's Day tomorrow???  I can't wait to hear!

Good morning!  So sorry that we didn't get back on yesterday with an update.  It was just one of those days.  Everything went great though.  The port worked awesome.  While I was there waiting to get started with my treatment, my friend Patty McDonald showed up and surprised me with a Starbucks coffee and home made muffins!  Oh it was such a great surprise and a very delicious one too.  Thanks so much Patty!  Made the time pass by so much better. 

After treatment I came home and slept for about 3 hours.  Then my chemo Angel Linda called.  We talked for an hour!  It was great talking to her and catching up.  Thanks Linda!  I really enjoyed that!

Then my friend Jessica who just got back home from being gone to Africa for a month came by for a visit!  I was so excited to see her!  I missed her so much!  She had an amazing time and had wonderful stories to share.  I am so looking forward to seeing her pictures when she gets them developed and to hear more stories.  She brought me back some cool stuff too.  Thanks Jess....welcome home!!  I know the kids at school are so happy that you are back.

I plan on just kicking back today and doing some things around the house.  Hope you all are having a great day so far!  Only two more days left until Valentine's!  I am looking forward to that too.

Good morning!!  Here is the new picture of my baby Lola.  Isn't she cute?  She has been such a great and easy going cuddly dog.

I am off to do my 1st out of 6 rounds of IV chemo.  I will then have  another two week break before I have to do it again for 6 weeks and then 2 more off then 6 more.  I should be done in July.  It is at 8:30 this morning.  Please keep Mike and I in your prayers for strength and peace.  I admit that this isn't easy and I am not looking forward to going.  But I know that God is there with me and he is holding my hand.

Good Morning!  Made it through the first day of chemo fine.  I am back on my routine.  The morning routine is no fun but I will get use to it again.  Today I go to the hospital for some extensive blood work and am having another test done.  Tomorrow is my IV chemo at 8:30 a.m.  I'll let you know how the port does today and tomorrow.  It is still healing but I know they can work with it somehow.

Yesterday my friend Cheryl and I went and visited our friend Margie who just got a hip replacement done last week.  She looks great and is getting around pretty good!  It was great to see you Margie!  You will be back to up and running around in no time at all!  If you could all say a prayer for her recovery that would be great.

How was your weekend?  I know lots of you had three days off.  Hope it was fun!  Have a great day today!  Keep me posted on how everything is going with you.  God is Good!

Good morning!!   I had a fantastic day yesterday.  My brother-in-law and sister-in-law Mark and Tina go to a wonderful church in Brawley named Western Ave. Baptist.  The congregation at that church have been faithfully praying for me since day 1 of my whole cancer journey.  Mark and Tina invited us to meet all of the people who have been praying so Mike and I went to church there yesterday.  They were so incredibly warm and welcoming to us and it was a joy to meet all of the many faithful poeple who were and are continuing to keep me in their prayers.  They were so happy to have an actual face to a name now and I was able to give them an update on how I am doing.  So thank you to all of the awesome people at Western Ave. Baptist.  It means a lot to me that you are praying for me.  I treasure it!  I wish I could visit all the churches that are praying for me.  Please know that I sure do appreciate those prayers and I feel them working each minute of my life.  I especially want to thank my own church family (First Christian Church) who Mike and I love so much, for all of their support, love, caring, encouragement and most definitely prayers.  We don't know what we would do with out you!

As I started the chemo this morning I was at total peace and I could feel God's blessings just pouring down on me.  I feel good and I know I will make it through these next six weeks with all of your help!  So again.....thank you all for praying........and I know that is coming from all over the world!  Wow.....the power of prayer is awesome!  I am humbled and grateful.  Please also know that I am faithfully praying for all of the prayer requests that are coming my way!

Thank you Mark and Tina for lunch!  That was fun.   I also had an awesome afternoon hanging with my family.  They are the best.  Lola loves playing with Jenna's dog Rusty.
