Good Saturday morning!!  How are you?  I hit the ground running yesterday and haven't stopped.  The Valentine's celebration at school was fun!  I received all kinds of wonderful Valentine goodies.  I ate my fair share of sugar too.  I also received a big surprise from Angel Linda.  I was delivered some beautiful yellow roses to my work from her.  They are so pretty......and yes,  it was a super surprise!  Thank you very much!  That was incredibly sweet of you to do!  After work I went and got my hair done, which was way needed.   I then went to a co-worker's house warming party last night.  Her house is just beautiful, the food we ate was awesome and we had such a great time!

This morning I am up and at it. Mike and I have our Tyler Michael today and for a sleepover tonight.  Yay!!  You know we are always happy to have our grandbaby!  He brings us such fun and joy!  This morning Mike, Tyler and I are also on our way to watch Jeff test for his black belt in Karate.  We are so very proud of him and I cannot wait to see him get it.  Then this afternoon I am going to a bridal shower for a dear friend.  I really need to be two people this weekend.  haha!  It is funny how sometimes events all happen at once.  I am not complaining though......I am thankful for it and to be healthy enough to enjoy it all!

Here is a picture of Tyler after the big day we had with him last Saturday.  He is fast asleep on Nani's Charger blanket.  My precious angel.

Good Friday morning!!  Yay!!  Ready for another busy weekend!!  Since we don't have any school on Monday (Lincoln's Birthday), and it is also Valentine's Day on Monday, we are having Valentine's Day fun today.  The kids are so excited!  Our school is kicking off the morning with a staff verses 5th grade students softball game.  Always a lot of fun to watch.  The afternoon will be filled with consuming sweets and the passing out of Valentine's cards.  Remember how fun that was to do when you were a kid in school?  I still have all of the Valentine's cards that Jenna and Jeff made me when they were young.  Oh they are so sweet!  Love them!

Reminder......please, if you get a chance,  take a few minutes to send a card out to someone and let them know that you are thinking of them.

Okay all of you American Idol fans.  They are now in Hollywood.  Looking forward to the weekly competition now.  There have been some really amazing singers.  It will be interesting to see how these judges do throughout this competition.  I like them so far, but that is just me.

Here are some pictures of Tyler at the mall having fun.

Hey Terrie  O........is it cookie time yet??  You know what I am talking about :)  I only mention it because you know that I love them so much and it is a tradition.  (Every Valentine's Terrie makes the best, filled with love, heart shaped, inch deep, chocolate chip, melt in your mouth cookies.)  They are soooo good!  Terrie, you are going to have to teach your granddaughters how to make them too.

I want to wish a one day late "Happy Birthday" to my sister-in-law Tammy who lives in Missouri!!  I wrote the day wrong on my calendar this year Tammy.  Hope you had an awesome and funfilled day!!

Prayer requests:  For a friends daughter who has had many eye surgeries to fix a detached cornea.  Please pray that this last surgery was a success and that she won't have to go through any more.  Please keep in your prayers Electra, Samuel, Derek and Alexandrea to be strong and completely healed.  Pray for their parents too as they go through this with their children and for wisdom on all of the decisions they have to make.

Good Thursday morning!  This week has been flying by.  Remember that it is not too late to pick up a card and send it to someone to make their day.  So many of us are blessed beyond measure, and it is incredible to hear about so many of your doing this very kind and simple thing. You are giving hope to a lot of folks who need it.  I have also heard from a few of you that were the receipients of these cards.  I can relay to everyone here that the timing of getting some of these cards has been awesome!  All you have to do is ask God to bring someone to mind who could really use some encouragement and a name will immediately come.  Try it!  I promise it works!  Thanks for helping to spread the love!

"Great opportunities may come once in a lifetime, but small opportunities surround us everyday.  Even through such simple acts as telling the truth, being kind, and encouraging others, we bring a smile to God's face.  God treasures simple acts of obedience more then our prayers, praise or offerings." ---Rick Warren

Here are a couple of pictures of Tyler playing in the playground area of Burger King.  This one is at the top of the play gym.  He was like......look Nani and Poppi.......we are up so high.

Prayer requests:  For Aunt Edith's friend Audrey.  Audrey has two daughters right now that have cancer.  Audrey's business partner has cancer too.  Pray for strength and healing for this family.  Also for a lady named Heather who is fighting stage 4 breast cancer and whose husband died on his way to visit her in the hospital.  And for another lady named Sharon who is also fighting cancer and is having a hard time with it.  These precious women need our prayers for strength, healing, comfort and to stay encouraged.  I know God is holding them in the palm of his hand and close to His heart.  Thank you all for faithfully praying.  By the way.......Aunt Edith and Aunt Evelyn are Mike's Dad's sisters.

Proverbs 3 verse 3:  Never forget to be truthful and kind.  Hold these virtues tightly.  Write them deep within your heart.

Good Wednesday morning!  How is your week going so far?  You all know that I love to pray for you and that I have a notebook my friend Shelly Osuna made for me that I keep all of your prayer requests in.  Every single day I go through my book and pray for you. Sometimes a couple of times a day.  One of the people listed in my book is Pastor Jackson who was the Pastor at Imperial Community Church for many years and who is dearly loved.  As I was praying for him today I was thinking about the time I was at the Circle K store getting ready to fill a cup of soda.  There was Pastor Jackson smiling from ear to ear and asking me how I was doing.  We talked for a few minutes and he went on his way and I continued to finish filling my soda and went to pay.  The person behind the counter said, "You don't owe me anything.  The man who was just here has already paid for you."  Pastor Jackson was already gone but that small gesture absolutlely made my day!  That was quite a few years ago but I never forgot it.  How simple, but yet it meant so much.  I pray that we are all motivated to do something like that for someone else.  Just a little small act of kindness that speaks volumes to those receiving it.  It will not be forgotten.  Being the giver is actually the bigger blessing.

Here are a couple of pics of Tyler when we took him to Burger King on Saturday. He hates to wear anything on his head so I was surprised that when the lady at the counter put this crown on his head he kept it there.   Here he is saying, "Can I have some food please?"

Prayer requests:  I have an update on baby Alexandrea who had brain surgery and lost her sight.  The family is feeling your prayers!  Alexandrea is home and recovering well.  Her sight has still not returned but the Drs. are hopeful that it might.  Her parents say she is a happy camper right now and have peace knowing that she is going to be fine.  Let's continue to lift this little girl up in our prayers that she will get her eye sight back very soon.

Also I have an update on Lorri Cavins..........Her melanoma has spread in her leg and they will be starting her on chemo again in the next week or so.  Good news is that it wasn't found anywhere else in her body.  Please pray for her to be strengthened physically and mentally as she goes through another course of chemo and that she will be completely healed.  Pray for her family too.

And if you could please read my Aunt Edith's comment yesterday and pray for these ladies who are dealing with cancer too.  I am praying!

Psalms 139 verses 17 & 18:  How precious it is, Lord, to realize that you are thinking about me constantly.  I can't even count how many times a day your thoughts turn towards me.  And when I waken in the morning, you are still thinking of me!

Read the bible in a year......Today, Leviticus 24 - 25.  Thursday.....Leviticus 26 - 27.

Have a wonderful day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Question.........Did you or do you play a musical instrument?  Were you in the marching band in High School?

Good Tuesday morning!!  We are having some gorgeous sunny days again and I am loving it.  Guess what?  I did not have one medical appointment last week and it looks like I won't be having one this week too.  WooHoo!  2 weeks in a row.  I know it sounds silly but I am celebrating it.  I do have an appointment for my next MRI brain scan.  It will be on Tuesday, February 15th in the afternoon.  My prayer requests are that they get the needle in on the first try and that the scan looks good.  My neurosurgeon Dr. Ott just wants to see how everything looks after having the gamma knife surgery.  I don't have an appointment yet with Dr. Ott, but will soon.

Hey everyone!!  This would be a great time to send a card out to someone you know who could use a little pick me up, a hello or some encouragement.  Just knowing that someone is thinking about you and took a minute to send a card is so awesome!  What a better excuse then to send something for Valentine's Day!  So I am challenging you all to send 1 note or card to someone before Valentine's Day.  Spread the love!!

Here are a couple of pictures of Tyler on the swing when we took him to the park on Saturday.

Prayer requests: If you could all please read Angel Linda's comment yesterday and pray for Heather.  She could use all of us prayer warriors prayers and support right now.  Also keep her friend Sharon in your prayers too for strength and to be encouraged.  And another request was made yesterday for a lady who is in her final stages of cancer.  Pray for her and her family as they go through this. That they will feel the peace of God surrounding them.

Psalms 138 verse 3  When I pray, you answer me, and encourage me by giving me the strength I need.

Read the bible in a year....Today......Leviticus 22 - 23.  Wednesday.......Leviticus 24 - 25.

Have a terrific day everyone!  Today is another precious gift fom God and he is so Good!
