Good Monday morning!!  How was your weekend?  It was a great weekend for us.  Mike and I had so much fun with our little man Tyler.  It was such a beautiful day on Saturday, so we took him to the park in Imperial to play.  Then we took him to the Burger King by the mall for lunch so he could play in their big play yard.  We had it all to ourselves too.  Then we took him to the mall for a little while to run around there.  Of course I had my camera along to take some pics of him.  One of my favorite things though is bath time.  Tyler loves to take a bath.  I absolutlely love cuddling with him after his bath, reading him a story and putting him to sleep.  Aaaahhhhhh.....can you tell I just love being a Nani?  Whenever he sees either Mike or I, he now holds his arms out and says "Poppiiiiiii" or "Naniiiiiiii" and gives us a big hug.  My heart melts and I am so thankful.  God is good!

I ate enough salt, sugar and fat on Sunday to last me a week!!  You gotta love Super bowl Sunday.  Great excuse to eat some very unhealthy food. haha!  And yes.......I of course had my ruffles potato chips and toasted onion dip.  Oh man that stuff is so good.  I was very touched by all of the honoring of our military service men and women and our country.  Did you all see the Declaration of Independence piece Fox and the NFL put together right before the super bowl started?  It was good.  Congrats to the Packers.  It was a good game.

So I know that a lot of you have been wondering what my Angel Linda and her daughter Samantha look like.  Well here is the latest picture that they had recently taken.  Such beautiful ladies......inside and out.

I wanted to wish my brother-in-law Greg Gilbert, whose birthday was yesterday,  a very "Happy Birthday"!  Hope you had a great day!

Prayer requests:  Please pray for comfort for Clyde and Tisha Carson and family over the recent loss of Tisha's mother.  Out heartfelt sympathies are with you too.  Continued prayers for comfort for Lonnie & Cheryl Hargrove and family on the loss of Lonnie's dad and for everyone out there that is mourning the loss of a loved one.  Prayers for peace and may you be comforted by the sweet and wonderful memories that you have.

Question of the day..........Hey girls.....did you ever play "powder puff"  football in High School?  The high school I went to had one game each year.  The Junior girls against the Senior girls.  I did play.  I played the cornerback position.  Totally fun!

Good Saturday morning!!  What is everyone up to this weekend?  Guess who is with Poppi and me for the day??  Yes....it is Tyler day!  We plan on doing a lot of loving on and spoiling him today.  Right now Tyler and I are all cuddled up together in a warm blanket.  Love it!

I have some great news to share with everyone.  On February 2nd, my friend Gina Cosio celebrated 13 years of being in remission from MS!!  WooHoo!!  She is so thankful for the power of prayer and all her family and friends who keep her in their prayers.  Also during this time she thought she could never have children.  God blessed her and her husband Ernie with a miracle by the name of Ethan almost two years ago.  Isn't that great?

Good Friday morning!!  It has been a good week but I am so happy to have a couple of days off.  Busy weekend coming up!  Today is "wear you favorite team jersey" day at school in celebration of Superbowl Sunday.  So if you see me out and about today with a San Diego Chargers jersey on, you will know why.  We are also celebrating being in school 100 days today.  Time is flying by.  We are more then halfway done with this school year.

Brrrrrrr......it was cold yesterday.  But it was a clear sunny day!   It got down in the 20's again last night too.  That is a little too chirrrrly for us desert people.

I read this passage about courage and wanted to share it with you...... When your courage falters, find a friend and borrow some of theirs.  And when someone you love is shaking in their boots, extend your own steady hand to infuse strength and peace into their frightened heart.  Courage can be transferred from one heart to another simply by a shared look of understanding or a gentle touch of encouragement.  The courage given you by heaven above is not intended for your strengthening alone--it is meant to be shared with a friend.

Prayer requests:  Jobs!  There are still prayer requests to find a job.  Please pray something will come soon to those that are still looking.  Also continued prayers for those brave women and men serving in the military.  Pray for their safety and protection and for their families.  Also for strength and a speedy recovery for a friend who had surgery yesterday.

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me....I once was lost, but now am found, was blind, but now, I see.  T'was grace that taught my heart to fear....and Grace my fears relieved, how precious did that Grace appear....the hour I first believed.

Good Thursday morning!!  That is probably one of the best songs ever written.  You can't help but smile when you hear this beautiful song.  I feel like we all really need to pray for grace and wisdom for our country and it's leaders on the decisions they are having to make in the wake of all the turmoil in Egypt.  Let's keep the Egyptian people in our prayers.   I hope and pray they can settle things in that country soon.

Brrrrrr........it is so cold here!  haha!  I know, I know.....it is nothing compared to the folks in the mid-west and back east.  But it did get into the mid 20's.  YIKES!  That is really cold for us! 

A big congratulations to our niece Kayla Van Patten and her hubby Aaron on the birth of their second little girl named Claire Ann Marie.  Both baby Claire and Kayla are doing good!  Oh I can't wait to see and hold her!  Claire also has a big sister named Emily.

Good Wednesday morning!!  Happy Groundhogs Day!  So I haven't watched the news yet this morning, did the groundhog see his shadow?  Are there still six more weeks of winter?  The mornings and evenings have been cold here but the afternoons have been nice. Looks like it will be cold today though.  Keeping all of you living back east in my prayers who are suffering with the ice and snow storms.  Stay safe. 

So the Gilbert household has enough Girl Scout cookies to feed a neighborhood.  Mike and Jeff don't seem to have a hard time eating them all up though.  I love Girl Scout cookie time!  I think we have every kind they sold. Neither Mike or I can say no.  Have you bought any yet?  What is your favorite?

Prayer requests:  I have a really urgent prayer request for everyone today.  Please pray for a 14 month old girl named Alexandra who all of a sudden went blind.   Her doctors found out she had a brain tumor, life flighted her to Children's Hospital and they did brain surgery on her on Monday.  The doctor's say that if her eye sight doesn't come back in the next 2 weeks she will stay blind.  Let's pray faithfully that this precious baby girl gets her eyesight back.  Pray for her parents for strength to get through this stressful ordeal.  Pray that Alexandra recovers quickly from this surgery.   

Psalms 92 verses 1 & 2:  It is good to say "Thank you" to the Lord, to sing praises to the God who is above all gods.  Every morning tell him, "Thank you for your kindness," and every evening rejoice in all his faithfulness.
