Good morning!  I have a wonderful story to share with you today.  Yesterday when I was getting into my car in my driveway, a friend of our family that we hadn't seen in a while saw me and stopped in his work truck and pulled over.  He just wanted to let me know that he has been praying faithfully everyday for me and my family, that he cares so much for us and wanted to do something for us.  He then took my hands and prayed with me.  Then he said he will continue to keep all of us in his prayers and got back into his work truck and left. Isn't that so cool? Three minutes!  Thats all it took and I can not begin to tell you how it made me feel that he did that for me.  Made my whole day.  This is yet another lesson God has taught me through this ordeal.  We are not too busy in our day to give three minutes to someone to let them know that we are there for them, care for them and love them.  It was so simple and yet it meant so much.  Tell me.....our God is so awesome.....don't you agree?

I wanted to give a big thanks to some dear friends of mine, Julia Hudelson, Mary Seitz and Elena Westmoreland for the very delicious Cold Stone ice cream cake!  It was perfect and it will be gone in no time at all.  I am sure it will add another pound.  Thanks girls!

Good morning and Happy Friday!  A lot of people have been asking me for my sister Monica's address because that is where I will be staying from March 24th thru April 6th.  Her address is : 5621 Lone Star Dr.  San Diego, CA  92120.  Thank you so much for all of the cards and gifts that you send to me.  There isn't a day that has gone by where I have not received an encouraging card or note in the mail.  Getting them means so much and really makes my day.  Thanks to little Gracie and Mollie Wainscott from Indiana for making me the most precious cards.  Every card to me is a true treasure.

My sister Monica is coming down this weekend to help me with some things before I am out of commission again for a while.  Monica, Jenna and my brother Donald and Noni are also going to do their best to try and fatten me up some more.

My appointment with the surgeon went well today.  I am scheduled to be at Pioneers Hospital at 6:00 a.m. Monday, March 17th.  Surgery will start at 8:30 a.m.   Please keep me in your prayers that everything will go smooth and that I won't get sick after I wake up.  I am also starting to get some side effects from one of the chemo drugs I am on so could you please pray that they don't get any worse.  For those of you that might not know my voice is really hoarse since starting the treatments and is apparently another side effect that I will have for the entire duration.

Thanks Mickey & Peggy Dale for last night.  We had a great time!  Thanks Mark & Brad Thomason for the really cool cards that you made for me.  It put a big smile on my face and made my day!

God is Good!!

Good morning!  I have an appointment with a surgeon here tomorrow to talk about putting a port in.  She will also give me a check-up.  I am scheduled to have the port put in on Monday the 17th.  It will be outpatient surgery at Pioneers Hospital.  I will know more details tomorrow and will let you know then.  Once that port is in I will not have to worry about my poor arm anymore with IV's or blood drawings. 

Each day I am feeling a little better and stronger.  I have also gained three pounds.  I am hoping to gain 3 or 4 more by the 25th of March.  I want you all to know that I am feeling your prayers.  I am stronger and I am starting to mentally be ready for my next round of chemo.  The fight is back in me again!  Thanks everyone for your love and support.  My hope is in the Lord and He is good!

A HUGE thanks to Jessica Silva for letting the students in Room 1 call me this morning and send their love.  It was so great to hear from all of them!  It really made my day!!  (HUGE SMILE HERE!!!!)  That meant a lot!  I miss you all so much!

Good morning!  I am feeling better and stronger each day.  I am up to about 80%.  I take longer walks now and am up and about way more.  I even got ready yesterday and made it to church.  It was so wonderful to be there singing praises to the Lord and hearing a wonderful message from my pastor Jeff Hudelson. 

I want to give a BIG shout out today to the elementary school that I work at T.L. Waggoner.  They received the California Distinguished School Award.  I am so proud of the staff and I know they worked really hard to get this great award.  I only wish that I could be there with you all today to join in on the celebration!  Please give each other some "high fives" from me!

Thanks so much to my dear friend Denise Jernegan for bringing us out a wonderful meal.  Thanks also to another dear friend Cheryl Hargrove for bringing me out a HUGE Texas sheet cake to fatten me up.  I am sure to gain 5 pounds on that cake alone.  Gaynell Irving.....I love your sense of humor!  Makes my whole day!  Keep them coming.
