Good morning!  I am doing okay this morning.  So glad to be done with treatment number 4.  Only 2 more to go now before my two week break. Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers yesterday.   I have an extremely busy week next week that I need prayer for.  Just so happens that everything is due next week and I have to get it done.  Monday will be more blood work at the hospital.  Tuesday I will be in Yuma for a PET scan.  Wednesday is treatment number 5.  Thursday I am back at the hospital for an MRI.  Then Friday my whole family leaves for Prescott Arizona for my nephew Scott's wedding.  WHEW.....that is a lot I know.  But I can do it with your prayers and encouragement.  The following week, I am not sure what day yet, I will be back to San Diego to see my Neuro Surgeon and Oncologist for the results to the MRI and PET scan.  Please pray for great results!!!  I  know God has put his healing hands on me and I truly believe in God's miracles!  Thank you so very much!!  I feel the prayers all the time!

Patty McDonald.....Thank you so much for coming by the cancer center yesterday while I was getting my treatment and surprising me with a beautiful basket of flowers!  What an awesome surprise and visiting with you for a while made the time go by faster.  Thanks for taking the time out of your day to do that for me.

UPDATE:  Leslie is home now.  Everything went great this morning.  She did not need another shot.  They were happy with her levels.  She will have to go in for more blood work next Tuesday to make sure those levels stay up.  Her next chemo appointment is Wednesday at 8:30.  Again, thank you for keeping my wife in your prayers and encouraged.  God is good!

Good Wednesday morning everyone!  Praise God....prayers were answered......my blood cell counts are up!  Hopefully that means that I won't have to get another shot today.  My chemo appointment is at 8:30 this morning.  Mike will update you all later on how things went.  Please keep me in prayer for the side effects that I am dealing with and the little bit of anxiety that I have been feeling.

Had a nice dinner last night at my friend Patty McDonald's house with a few other friends.  Thanks Girls!  That was fun!   Thanks also to my mother-in-law Jodi for the beautiful flowers you brought by yesterday!

Good morning!  Yesterday went okay.  I am still having problems with food and my stomach but I will talk to the Dr. about this when I go in for my Chemo treatment on Wednesday.  Today I go to the hospital for the blood work.  I am praying that both white and red cell counts are looking better.  The only good thing about going to the hospital today is that after they take my blood I will have lunch with Mike and Jenna.

I have a challenge for anyone who is up for it.....and I hope all of you are. (Angel Linda, I know you are set to go with this already).  I want everyone to go out and buy one card this week.  I am giving you till next Tuesday.  Just one card!  I want you to then send it to someone who needs some encouragement, get well wishes, thinking of you or just a Hello!  It only takes a few minutes and I know we are all at the grocery store every week so I know you can all do this.  I cannot begin to tell you what this means to the person receiving the card!  So are you up for the challenge?  Let me know!  I'll be reminding you all week.  Go get those cards everyone!  I KNOW your busy......but do it anyways.....you have a week!  :)

Good Monday morning!  Wow!  What an awesome opening ceremonies day I had yesterday!  First off my sister surprised me and came down from San Diego and with her everything I would miss eating at the fair.  She brought me corn dogs, soft pretzels, a burger, popcorn and a caramel apple.  She also brought me a barn yard of plastic animals so I wouldn't feel like I missed them too.  To top it off she gave me a gift certificate to buy a new outfit for "Birthday Month".  Isn't she great?  Thanks Monica!  That was a lot of fun!  Totally made my day!

Then my friend Denise Rogers came out and visited and made me laugh the whole time!  Thanks Denise!  You know how to make a girl feel good and smile the rest of the day.

Then I went to Jenna and Ryan's house for a wonderful dinner.  My daughter really knows how to cook and loves doing it.  It was a great meal Jen and we had a blast!  She even made me a opening ceremony cake!  Thanks Jenna and Ryan for the very entertaining evening!

So yes....I know what this means.....I have to lay low today.  I will.  But it was so nice yesterday to not think about the cancer and how sick I feel.  Everyone really took my mind off of it for the day.  Thanks for all of the phone calls, comments and e-mails yesterday too.  It may seem silly to celebrate a birth month.....but I am enjoying every minute of it! 

Tomorrow I am back to the hospital for more extensive blood work.  We will be checking the red cell and white cell counts.  Please pray for me that they will have improved.  I still have 3 weeks to go before I get another 2 week break.  My IV chemo is on Wednesday at 8:30 again.

Toot toot toot toot toot tooooooooot........Yes today is March 1st and that means it is opening ceremonies!  You see my birthday is March 26th but I celebrate my birthday all month.  We even have closing ceremonies on March 31st.  I love celebrating birthdays!  So today in honor of opening ceremonies my daughter Jenna is having us all over for a big dinner tonight.  I can't wait.  My sweet Mike always buys me a small opening and closing ceremony gift too.  I know.....I am way too spoiled!  There are lots of things planned for this month too that I am praying I feel good enough to go to.  Luckily my two week break off of the chemo starts the same week as my birthday.  So no chemo for my birthday...YAAAYYYY!!!!  I know lots of people with March birthdays but I share my day with my dear friend Susan Beach.  Yep....we are both the 26th.  So Happy opening ceremonies to you too Susan!  And Terrie, and Amy, and Mary, and Lori!!

I was not as sick yesterday as I was on Friday.  So thank you so much for keeping me in your prayers.  I have to be extremely careful as to what I eat right now.  My stomach is having a hard time with food.  I am experiencing other side effect issues too so if you could keep me in your prayers for that too.  Thanks!!!!
