THE BIG DAY IS HERE!!!!  IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!  YAY!!!  :)

I'm singing...."It's my birthday.....It's my birthday....gonna party....like it's my birthday!!"

I'm back!!  Did you all miss me??  I missed you!  So happy to be back home now.  Mike and I had a great time!  Will tell you all about it tomorrow.

I want to also wish a very "Happy Birthday" to my friend Susan Beach.  Yep....we share the same birthday!  Have an awesome and fun filled day today Susan!!

My family is throwing me a family party tonight.  I will try to get some pictures to show you tomorrow.  The thing that is making me smile today......that I am here celebrating another birthday with you!  I am so thankful to God that I am alive and well!

Oh before I forget.....my appointment with my neurosurgeon on Monday for my brain scan results has been cancelled.  He is going to be in surgery all day that day.  Don't have another date scheduled yet but it looks like it will be a couple of weeks.  I am very okay with that.  I feel a real peace about the whole thing.  Thanks for keeping this in your prayers and as soon as I have a new date I will let you know.

Have a FANTABULOUS day everyone!  Today is another gift from God which I am so thankful for and He is so Good!!  Thank you God for my family and friends and celebrations!

Good morning!  Sorry I am late this morning....I went to my first Toast Masters meeting today.  I want to work on improving my presentation skills.  It should be interesting.  I did speak with Leslie this morning and her and Mike had a great day yesterday and a blast at dinner.  They have an appointment at 11:05 this morning to have her skin checked and then they are heading home.  I think it was a good couple of days for both of them.

I want to ask that you pray for Leslie's results on Monday from the MRI.  I pray that God continues to provide His mercies and we receive great news on Monday.  Thank you for holding Les up in prayer....I know God is honoring those prayers!

I do want to wish my brother John a very happy birthday today!  Him and Leslie are one year and one day apart (which Leslie never liked following John on his birthday!).  Don't forget to wish Les a happy birthday tomorrow....yes tomorrow is the BIG day!! 

Also, Leslie didn't get a good response on your favorite birthday cake question...common what is it?  I really prefer pie, most any kind of pie, than I do cake.

Good morning!  Well Leslie called last night to tell me she was in her pajamas in her hotel room watching American Idol.  I was in bed watching it too!  She says her and Mike are enjoying themselves and she has not been this relaxed in awhile.  They go to Medieval Times tonight.  Her skin did react to the skin test....which she says is a good thing.  I am sure she will have more details when she is on here again. 

I want to wish Stacey Barbee a wonderful birthday...gosh there are a lot of March birthdays (I personally think August birthday's rock!). 

God has blessed us with a beautiful day in San Diego today.  Should be in the highs 70s.  It is days like these that I like to take the dogs for a walk and just thank God for all of His blessings...so many blessings to be thankful for! 

Thanks for responding to yesterday's question...though I know more of you read the blog and didn't respond : ) Okay, so are you watching American Idol, Lost or Biggest Loser?  I like American Idol and am cheering for Bowersocks...she is great!  I tried watching Bigger Loser in the beginning but it just makes me cry and I think it is sad they kick any of those people off of the show...they should all be there.  Many years ago I tried to watch Lost but kept getting lost so I stopped watching though I do know there is a big following out there!

Hello!  It's Mrs. Hoolsema AKA Monica the Sister.  Leslie called me today and said that it felt like half of her blood was removed today but it is all over for the day.  She is feeling good, and yesterday the MRI went well too!  Her and Mike are off to enjoy life for a few days!  A much deserved break for both of them. 

I want to thank each one of you that read this blog for your faithful prayers and encouragement for my sister and the family.  On behalf of all of the family, we thank you!  I also want to continue to thank God for his daily mercies and blessings!

Okay, now for the question for the day.  Which movie makes you just cry...but a good cry that still makes you happy at the end of the movie?  Steele Magnolias has got to be one of my favorite movies to cry while watching...and I must admit I got teary eyed watching Blind Side this weekend.  Okay, I want all of you ladies (and men) that read this to respond...I know most of you read this and smile and go on with your day.  Come on...respond : )

Good Monday morning!!  How was your weekend?  We had a nice weekend but it just went by way too fast!  Today is the start of a very busy 8 days for me.  My MRI brain scan and getting bloodwork done is this afternoon at PMH.  I cherish your prayers that everything will go smoothly today and that the results I receive next Monday will be great!

Tonight Mike and I take off till Thursday evening.  Unfortunately I have to do bloodwork again tomorrow for Hoag Hospital.  Of course Hoag won't take my blood results from today.  I HAVE to do it there.  But I can't do the brain scan today unless I do some bloodwork first.  BIG SIGH HERE.  This too shall pass.  Thanks everyone for your encouragement and support.

My sweet sister Monica will be blogging for me the next few days.  It probably won't be first thing in the morning but keep checking back.  I will call her on Tuesday from Hoag to tell her how everything went there and have her blog then to update you.

Something that made me smile big time yesterday was seeing Tyler asleep on Mike's shoulder.  He loves his Poppi and Poppi sure does love that sweet little guy!  I am leaving you with a picture of Tyler and I at a birthday party.  He loved all the commotion that was going on at the party.
