Dear God.......Help me to be a blessing to someone today.  I know that you bless us so that we may be a blessing to others.  Thank you for the many blessings you bring to me and to others daily.  I especially thank you for blessing my life with wonderful family and friends. (who spoil me during birth month)!  :)

Good Tuesday morning!!  Crazy weather we've been having.  We were almost to the 90's last week and yesterday I was wearing my boots and coat again.  It was chilly and windy.  I guess it will be cool through this week too.  I am not complaining though.  The heat will be here very soon.  How is the weather where you live today?

Awwww.....all of the birthday wishes coming my way have been awesome!  I really, really appreciate each and every one.  I have been having a blast with birth month.  The thoughtfulness has been extraordinary.  Smiling so big here!

Prayer requests:  For a family who is going through an awful lot right now and is hurting.  Big changes are coming their way too.  They have asked for prayers for strength to weather the storm they are in and that God will clearly give them the direction for their future. 

2 Corinthians 1 verses 2, 3 & 4:  May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ mightily bless each one of you, and give you peace.  What a wonderful God we have--he is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials.  And why does he do this?  So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us.

Question.....What kind of cake and frosting do you like to have for your birthday?  My favorite is yellow cake with brown sugar frosting.  But I also like strawberry cake with strawberry frosting.  And who can go wrong with chocolate cake with chocolate frosting?  mmmmmm.....Might have my family make all three!

Good Monday morning!!  Here we are again at the start of another week.  I am looking forward to an exciting and fun week.  How was your weekend?  I have to say that mine was great even though I had to have my PET scan on Saturday.  That PET scan was probably one of the smoothest going ones that I have had.  Everything with getting my IV started couldn't of gone better.  It was an answer to all of your prayers.  Thank you!  I will hear test results on March 29th.  Praying for NO SPOTS! 

My brother Donald and my sister-in-law Noni took me out for a shrimp, lobster and crab dinner for my birthday on Saturday night.  I ate so much that I was in a seafood coma.  hahaha!  Oh it was so good!  We had a lot of fun and laughed a lot.  Donald even took Noni and I shopping  afterwards.  Great night out.  Thanks so much Donald and Noni.  It is a great tradition!

Church on Sunday was great.  I got to work with the kids yesterday and I love it!  Our church's kids program is awesome!  Last night was dinner with the family and of course watching the Amazing Race.  The weekend flew by as always.

We also had the opportunity to attend the celebration of life party for Tony Deen yesterday afternoon.  It was a beautiful rememberance of Tony.  It was awesome to witness such an outpouring of love from the whole community of Imperial.  God has another angel up in heaven with him.  Please keep the Deen family in your prayers and thoughts for strength and comfort to get through a very difficult time in their lives.

Prayer requests:  I would like for us to take the time to remember to pray for all of the world leaders.  Pray for wisdom and guidance for these troubling times.  Keep our nation's troops in your prayers too.  Pray for their safety.  I continue to thank God for the freedom we have in this country.

Good Saturday morning!!  I am all ready to head off for the morning to have my PET scan done.  Thanks for the many kind words of encouragement and for the many prayers.  I feel God already holding my hand.  I will come back on here later when I get home and give you an update on how it went.

My sweet brother Donald is taking me out tonight to Yuma for a shrimp and lobster dinner (it's our tradition) to celebrate my birthday!  I love to eat shrimp and lobster and can't have it because Mike and Jenna are highly allergic to it.  My little brother is making a yucky morning turn out to be a great day!  Looking forward to it!  Ummmm Donald....does this mean we can stop to shop at Joann's too?  :)  Can you believe that my birthday is next Saturday??  WooHoo!!  So excited!

Prayer requests:  Please pray for a family who is experiencing some difficult situations right now.  Pray for understanding and patience and for wisdom on how to best handle the problems they are facing.  Pray for their stress to subside too.  Also for another friend that her knee will fully heal so she won't have to have surgery.  Pray that her pain will go away. 

Remember to thank God for the many answers that we have from our prayers and to praise him for the many blessings we have each day.

Good Friday morning!!  Mike and I had a great time out last night celebrating our "30" years of the anniversary of our first date.  We celebrated with our friends Mickey and Peggy Dale who just happen to be celebrating their "30" year wedding anniversary next week on the 21st.  So it was a double celebration!  Thanks for all the wonderful wishes yesterday.  I am continuing to have a lot of fun also for my birth month celebration.  Each day there has been some sort of wonderful surprise. Thank you for making it so memorable!

Well the six contestants that I like on American Idol were still all safe last night.  We are now down to 11.  I need to make up my mind soon on who I want to win but it is so hard this year.  Lots of great talent in completely different areas of music.  I will be sad when I start seeing them get eliminated.

All I can say is "poor Rusty".  I didn't take a picture of Tyler actually pulling it.  I ran to stop him....but too late.  Rusty loves Tyler though and is one patient dog.

Prayer requests: Continued prayers for the Deen family for comfort and strength.  Also for my PET scan tomorrow morning.  It is at 8:30.  Pray for my veins to be strong and no spots.  Also prayers for those looking for a job still.  Pray that one comes their way soon.

Good Thursday morning!!  Top o' the morning to you!  This day has such a very special place in my heart!  On this day 30 years ago Mike and I had our very first date.  He took me out  to dinner and a movie.  We instantly fell in love on our first date and could of married each other the next day.   We have been together and inseparable ever since (married for almost 29 years) and it has been the most awesome 30 years of my life.  I thank God for him everyday.  I still get excited every time I see him.  So tonight we are celebrating by going out with some friends to dinner.  They are also celebrating a big milestone too.

I expect to see a sea of green today at school.  I am wearing green and look forward to a fun day with the kids.  Here are a couple pictures of my little leprechan Tyler in a field of green.  The wheat field was so tall that he could hide.

 
Then he popped up and giggled.

Prayer requests:  I have several prayer requests for children and some difficult things they are dealing with in life and are hurting.  Let us lift our own children as well as many other children we know and love in prayer for guidance, protection, good health, happiness and peace in their lives.  Let us keep all children encouraged. May God rain down his blessings on all of our children.

1 Peter 5 verse 7:  Let him have all your worries and cares, for he is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.
