Good morning everyone!  After two days of feeling pretty lousy I seem to be feeling a little bit better this morning.  Unfortunately my appetite was not good during that time and I dropped another pound.  My son Jeff took real good care of me yesterday and did everything he could to put food into me.  I seem to have an appetite back this morning and I will stuff myself today if I continue to feel well.  Thanks for praying for me.  It is working!  I just need to keep feeling better for the rest of this week so I can gain weight.

Thanks to my Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Frank & Jodi for making us an awesome dinner last night!

Ooooohhhhh today is tax day.  Fess up.....who is mailing their taxes today?

Good Morning!  I hope everyone had an awesome weekend.  Yesterday was a rough day for me.  The side effects of the daily oral chemo drug that I take started to kick in.  It goes in waves.  I ended up spending most of the day in bed sleeping.  I did make it to my brothers for the BBQ, but I just ate and left.  I plan on  laying low today and hope that  I feel better.  I did weigh myself this morning and I have gained another half a pound.  I am a pound and a half away from my goal weight.  I have 8 days left to do it.  Please pray that I have an appetite.  Yesterday I felt lousy so the eating part for me wasn't good.  Thanks for your love, prayers and continued support.

God is Good!

Good Sunday morning!  I had a wonderful day yesterday with my family.  And yes.....they fed me really well.  Thanks to my mother-in-law Jodi for bringing over some wonderful baked goodies.  My daughter Jenna (who is quite the cook) made a delicious and fattening dinner for the whole family.   To end the evening, my sister Monica made a fabulous dessert.  Today they already have a big BBQ planned at my brother Donald's house.  I am sure there will be lots of fat and sugar involved. My sister-in-law Noni makes the best guacamole dip!  I will weigh tomorrow and let you know how I am doing.

I pray that everyone has a wonderful and blessed Sunday and that God lifts your spirits in church this morning.

Good Morning!  I hope everyone has a wonderful and relaxing Saturday.  My family is here this weekend and the plan is to just feed me.  So they are coming up with all kinds of wonderful things to cook for me.  I look forward to hanging out with them.  What is everyone else up to today?

Good morning everyone and Happy Friday!  It has been so nice to have Mike off and home with me for most of this week.  He got a lot done on the house and it is really looking good.  He still has a ways to go......but it will be done eventually.  In order for him to be able to take the week off to spend with me at my next chemo treatment he will be working starting tomorrow and most of next week.  I ate really well yesterday but have decided not to weigh again for a few days.  Hopefully I will have gained what I need to by the end of next week.  I have been out and about more and although I am not feeling as well as I did last month.....I feel encouraged and upbeat.  Please keep praying for me to be mentally ready for the next round of chemo.  It will be April 22nd and 23rd.  Thanks so much!

Thank you Lisa and Tanya Alloway for bringing us out dinner last night.  It was so delicious!  They are two of the best cooks that I know!

Denise Jernegan......Thanks so much for the very sweet  and encouraging note.  It was exactly what I needed to hear yesterday and really lifted my spirits.  Please tell everyone at the District Office that I said Hello!
