Good morning!  It is Monday!  I hope all of the staff and students in the Imperial Valley had an awesome "spring break"!  Okay all of you that just returned from Spring Break....let me know what you did.  Tell me where you went.  What did you get accomplished this week?

We are almost done with the house project.  We just have a little more painting to do in one area and we are done.  Mike will have some time off this week and we will get it finished then.  What is done is beautiful.  I am so happy that we did it!

I want to say a HUGE "Congratulations" to my friend Jessica Silva on being named one of the 'Teacher's Of The Year' in the Imperial Valley.  I am so proud of her.  She gives it 100% all of the time and genuinely loves her kids and brings out the best in each one.  Well deserved Jess!

Tomorrow is blood work day!  I feel really good so I hope that means the levels are good too.  Thanks for praying for that and for my strength.  I am so ready to start back on the chemo so I can get done with this for good.  When the levels look good tomorrow.....I will start chemo on Wednesday.  I'll keep you posted.

Today is another gift and God is so Good!!

Good Sunday morning!!  This is the day that the Lord had made.....let us rejoice and be glad in it!  Wow....I am later than usual in posting.  Mike and I both slept in this morning.  We were both so tired from working on this house all day yesterday.  My son Jeff is out of town this weekend so it was just Mike and I working.  We are almost done and it looks beautiful.  All we have left is a little more painting and to move everything back into it's place.  I am so thankful that we were able to get this all done in 4 days.  Can I just say how awesome my hubby is??!!

Please keep me lifted in prayer that my blood levels will be HIGH when I go for my blood work on Tuesday.

Today is a gift and God is soooo Good!!!!

Good Saturday morning!  The painting project is coming along pretty good.  We didn't get as much done yesterday as we had hoped to.  You know how things come up and we get delayed but we are planning on hitting it hard today.  The dining room is done.  Now we need to finish texturing and painting the living room.  It is such a mess to go through.....but is beautiful when it is done!

Lola went to the vet yesterday (speaking of delays) and they ended up putting her to sleep and burning off the cyst in her mouth.  She was groggy the rest of the evening.  Poor baby.  She seems back to her spunky self this morning.  I think she is a little sore though.

I have been feeling pretty good.  Helping a little bit on this project with Mike has helped me not to have cabin fever as much.  I thank God everyday that I have stayed healthy and well and have not caught that nasty cold that seems to be going around right now.  Thank you for the prayers! 

I am so happy that my friend Linda Mayhew has a stationary bike for me to borrow and use.  Mike is picking it up sometime today.  Thanks Linda for lending me the bike for a while!  You are so sweet!

Today is a gift and God is Good!!!

Good morning!!  How is everyone today?  The painting project is going really well thanks to all of Mike and Jeff's hard work.  They got half of the walls all textured and a quarter of them painted.  We will finish painting the rest today and then start on the other half of the walls that need texturing.  Hopefully we will get it all finished by tomorrow.  The color I chose is called 'Gray Beige'........it looks like a light sand color. All the trim is white.  so far so good.....I am loving it!

Lola has to go to the vet this afternoon.  It looks like she has some cyst growing in her mouth.  I'll keep you updated on her.  She is such a sweetie and I know going to the vet is going to scare her a lot.

I have a question for everyone.  I am looking for a stationary bike.  The Dr. said that would be a great way to strengthen my legs.  Do any of you know of what I should buy?  Do you know of anyone who isn't using theirs that would like to sell it or even let me borrow it for a little while?  If you know anything about them or where I can locate one please let me know.  Thanks so much!

Yahoo!!!  I am so happy for my friend Bill Cartwright!  He is done with treatments!  Thanks for keeping us updated Brenda!!  Can everyone please continue to keep him in your prayers for awesome test results and that the cancer is all gone and will stay gone forever?  I love you Bill!!  Hang in there!  Please keep us all updated when you can Bren.

The book I am reading right now is from my friend Kristi Pacheco called Chicken Soup for the Cancer Survivors Soul.  It has been a wonderful book for me to read.  Thanks Kristi!

Good morning!!  Well Mike is off for 4 days straight so we are hoping to get a lot done in our living room and dining room.  A few of my friends and family stopped by yesterday and we all agreed on the same color of paint so we are ready to go.  Mike is heading out to Lowe's (we have tons of gift certificates to there)  this morning to get what we need.  It will be so nice to have a new color on our walls.  Mike is retexturing our walls first so it won't be a quick project at all.  I'll keep you posted on our progress.

I am feeling good, eating healthy and resting like I am suppose to.  I pray that my levels are way up by Tuesday.  Thanks for your continuous prayers on that.  I so appreciate it!

Thanks Gaynell....I got the book yesterday.  Can't wait to start looking through it.  How sweet of you!  It is a book on activities you can do with and teach your grandbabies.  I am so excited!
