Good morning!!  Wow....what did you all think of that wind last night?  It is still so windy today.  My sinuses are really feeling it this morning.  I am ready for it to stop.  The only thing is that when it does it is going to start getting very warm here. 

I am feeling pretty good this morning.  Thank you all for lifting me up in prayer.  Thanks also for all of the prayer requests that came to me yesterday.  I am on it! 

Well Mike and I (mostly Mike) are going to paint our living room and dining room.  The hardest part is trying to decide what color I want.  I think I finally have it narrowed down.  I am going to get some second opinions from a few friends first.  I figure since I am home and feeling pretty good and not doing anything.... now is as good time as any.

I want to thank my sister Monica for what you did for me.  That was huge and I thank you so very much!!!  You rock!!

Terrie O.......I haven't started the new book yet because I started reading another one.  Will be reading it next.

UPDATE: Jeff took me to the cancer center and I got my shot.  I am scheduled to go back to the hospital on Tuesday for more blood work and if everything shows up good then I will start my chemo on Wednesday.  I feel good about everything and am hopeful that I will begin again next week.  Thanks for praying!!

Good morning!  Well as you read my update yesterday I am not having chemo again this week.  I do have to go to the cancer center at 10:30 this morning to get a red cell booster shot and to talk with the oncologist here.  I will let you know how that goes later this afternoon.  My oncologist from San Diego did talk to the oncolgist here so we are all on the same page now.

Thanks everyone for your encouragement and support.  At times where I really seem to need a pick me up I get a comment here or a call, e-mail or card with just the right words that I need to hear. I thank God for that all the time.  He sends a piece of himself through all of you to keep me encouraged.  My prayer requests are for my levels to really increase this week so that I can start the chemo next week and for strength.

UPDATE:  Not very good news to report.  My levels are still extremely low.  The white cell and the red cell counts dropped even further but the platelets did rise a tiny bit.  No chemo again this week and I will have to stay in my bubble (home) for a little longer.  Please pray that the levels are high enough next week to start the chemo and that I won't get sick.  I know that God is in control and his timing is what is best.  I am bummed though.  The oncologist will be calling me later today.  I will let you know how that goes tomorrow.  Thanks for praying! 

Good morning!  I hope you all had a nice Easter!  We sure did!  Here are a few pictures from yesterday.  Every year we have an egg decorating contest.  We decorate a ton of eggs but here are some pictures of just a few.....the first picture though is of the cupcakes I made on Saturday.

A good time was had by all. I came home to a nice surprise last night too.  Yesterday was our friend Clyde Carson's birthday (Happy Birthday Clyde) and his beautiful wife Tisha made him her famous pineapple upside down cake.  (You know the one that I have said before would win any contest).  Well guess what?  Yep, she made me one too!!  Oh it is so good!  Thanks so much Tisha!  I love it! 

I have an appointment today at the hospital for my bloodwork.  Please pray that my levels are up and the results good so that I can start back on my chemo tomorrow.  I will come back on here with an update later today and let you know how the results went.  Thank you for your tremendous support.  I also need prayers for a dear friend of mine who could use prayers for comfort.

Good Sunday morning!  I truly believe with my whole heart that Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins so that we may spend eternity with Him and that He arose again three days later.  He is my Savior and my hope.  He is the center of my life.

Good Saturday morning!!  Well I am up and ready for the day.  I am going to be happily in my kitchen today doing some baking which I love.  I found this cute recipe on the internet of Easter cupcakes that I want to try.  Of course they won't look exactly like the picture but I will try and have fun doing it.  My sister Monica is on her way here today and I am looking forward to seeing her and spending time with the whole family this weekend.

Tomorrow after church (No I am not going...I am being good....big bummer) we will all be at my daughter Jenna's for some Easter fun.  We have some great  things planned.  While everyone is at church I will be praying and reflecting on the reason for this season.
