Good Monday morning!!  Did you have a nice weekend?  We had a great weekend.  Mike made me an awesome dinner Saturday night and we sat out on our back deck to enjoy it.  The weather has been nice but it is heating up the next couple of days.  I don't think I am ready for the summer heat yet.  I hope we have more beautiful spring days ahead before it gets too hot.  Church was wonderful yesterday and we spent yesterday afternoon and evening hanging out with the family.

This is going to be a busy week.  Mike and I are headed back to San Diego on Tuesday night to spend the night at my sisters before heading up to Hoag hospital Wednesday morning for another melanoma vaccine shot.  They will also be doing bloodwork again.....yuck!  Then Saturday is my PET scan.  They could only get me in at 12:00 noon on Saturday so that means I won't get to eat until about 3:00 Saturday afternoon.  Wow.....that will be hard.....I will just have to stuff myself good on Friday night.  Anyone got any thoughts on some good stick to your ribs food that has no carbs?  I am not allowed to have carbs 24 hours before my scan.  My dietician daughter told me to eat a big omelete with lots of ham, vegetables and cheese and Mike wants to grill me a steak. 

Even though none of this is fun I am thanking God for the wonderful medical technology that we have and if it means that it will keep me healthy then I appreciate it all so much.  This is just a part of my life now and I think I am finally at peace with that.  Took me awhile......God is still teaching me much and I am learning.  Thanks for praying.

Could you keep my cousin Anthony in you prayers for safety and protection while he is in Iraq right now?  Also that my friend Christie sells her house quickly and for a good price.  She is moving to Texas from Missouri. 

On Saturday Jenna and I found Tyler a couple of cute outfits.  This hat was attached to one of them and I decided to try it on him.  I told Jenna that the hat makes him look like the Gorton's fisherman. lol

Good Saturday morning!!  YES!!!!!  Thank you God for great results yesterday!  I am still smiling and happy dancing!   I have to admit I had a lot of anxiety because of the one tumor they are keeping an eye on.  It had gotten a little bigger.  But my neurosurgeon really feels it is necrotic and the dead cells are irritated (because my body sees it as something foreign and is trying to fight it) so it is swollen.  We will have to keep a very close eye on it and so I will have another MRI brain scan in May.  My prayer request is that the area will get better, that it is a dead tumor and that we need no further treatment.  My Dr. seemed confident......he is amazed at how I am doing.....I told him that God is good and has blessed me with so many miracles! 

God has blessed me with so many friends who keep me lifted in prayer!  THANK YOU!!!!!  The peace I had felt yesterday morning was truly an answer to you all praying.  Thank you for the encouraging words and the pep talks.  What a mighty God we serve!  My faith was strengthened even more.  I can't begin to tell you how all of you played such an intricle part in the last 24 hours.  Things I read and that were said to me came at the most perfect time!

I also have a prayer request for my upcoming full body PET scan on Saturday, April 24th.  Please pray that it comes out clean too.  I should know when my appointment with my oncologist will be soon.  I'll keep you updated.

We did have a celebration with my family as soon as we got home last night.  I had my sweet Tyler in my lap almost the whole time.  As soon as he saw me he smiled real big.....my heart melted.....I was in heaven!

UPDATE:  Praise God!!  Leslie received good news from the doctor today!  Everything looks good but they are going to keep an eye on one tumor that has increased in size but the doctor says that does occur with dead cells expanding....I really don't know exactly what she said but it is something they will keep an eye on to make sure the tumor really is dead...which is what the doctor thinks.  Leslie is happy dancing!!!!!!!  Thank you dear Jesus for continuing to heal Leslie!!  Thank you everyone for your prayers...they are being heard and answered!!! 

Good morning!  Happy Friday everyone!  Awwww....thank you all for the very sweet comments.  Means a lot to me.  I will sing Terrie O.!!!  Aunt MaryAnn....I haven't heard any new updates on Lori.  She is still trying to recover from something else that came up before they can proceed.  When I hear anything new I will update you.  

Mike and I are off to San Diego this morning to meet with my neurosurgeon about the results to my brain scan.  Thank you for your prayers.  It's what keeps me going.  My appointment has been moved to 1:00.   As soon as I am done my sister Monica will be back on here with an update.

Just a quick note to say that we had a wonderful time at the picnic yesterday. No.....Mike didn't win the pie eating contest but it was hilarious watching him.  I will post some pics from it later.  To all of the staff at Pioneer's Hospital that worked so hard to put that together,  I want to say thank you!!  You all did a super job!

Good morning!!  How is your week going?  This afternoon my family is headed to the Pioneer Memorial Hospital's picnic.  This is Tyler's first picnic and I can't wait to watch him having fun there.  Mike is entered in a pie eating contest......I will get some pictures of that for you and share them later.  It will be great to see a lot of the hospital staff and their families there.

So Andrew and Katie were voted off of American Idol last night.  Bye Bye!!  My favs are still in!  Yay!  What did you all think??  Only 7 left.

Thanks so much for the very sweet and encouraging e-mails.  I know you are all praying for me and I appreciate it so very much.  My appointment got changed from morning to afternoon tomorrow.  As soon as I am done I will give my sister Monica a call and she will give you the update on how my results are.  At times I feel peace but other times it is hard.  I feel God holding my hand......with Him by my side it will be okay.

Good Wednesday morning!!  Last night Jenna and I went to another cooking class at our church.  The beautiful lady that teaches the class, Mary Seitz, is awesome.  We learned how to make some really yummy desserts.  Sharing the evening with the wonderful ladies from our church is always fun!  Denise Rogers.....thanks for making us laugh a lot while you were learning how to make a pie crust. 

So what did you all think about American Idol last night?  Which two do you think should go home?  I won't say who I think should go home but my top 3 favorites are Crystal, Lee and Casey.
