Good morning!  How is everyone doing?  Are you like me and wishing that the aftershocks would quit?  The newspaper said this morning that we had 549 measurable tremors in the last 24 hours.  YIKES!  No wonder some of us have motion sickness.

Has everyone cleaned up their messes?  Everything at my house is straightened up but I did not put everything back yet.  Don't want it to fall again in case we have another big quake in the next few days.  I would love to get through the rest of our spring break without any more tremors, aftershocks or quakes!   Please keep on praying for everyone affected by this.  I heard lots of stories yesterday on what people lost.......but we are all very thankful that everyone is safe and okay.  So thankful also that there is no school this week.

I have Tyler this week while Jenna is at work.  We had a great day yesterday.  I am just having so much fun with him.  We seem to have down a pretty good routine. 

Oh I forgot to tell you all that Mike and I did get up early on Easter morning to watch the sunrise.  It was beautiful!  Can't remember the last time I did that but hope to make it a tradition.  If you have never done that.....it was so worth it!  Thanks Denise for telling me about that.  Here is one of the many pictures that I took.

I have an appointment now with my neurosurgeon for my brain scan results.  It is Friday, April 16th.  I have quite a few things coming up at the end of this month.  I have to go back to Hoag Hospital for a shot, have to schedule a full body PET scan and see my oncologist.  Thank you all for praying so faithfully for me.  Will keep you all updated with all of that as it comes.

Good Monday morning!  Wow......you can say that Easter Sunday of 2010 will be remembered for a long time around here.  The whole family was at Ryan and Jenna's house eating our dinner when the 7.2 earthquake hit.  It was only seconds when we realized this was bad and that we all needed to quickly get out of the house.  Earthquakes usually don't bother me too much but this one really scared me.  It was awful. We were having trouble just walking out of the house it was shaking so bad.  Things were falling and breaking everywhere in their house, cars were bouncing in the street, electricity went out, buildings were damaged, phone lines overloaded, etc....I got home to a big mess in my house too.  Everything fell off the shelves in every room of the house.  I was very fortunate though......just a few things broke.  We still haven't heard the extent of damage everywhere around us yet.  Just waiting for more news reports.  We have had so many aftershocks.....including a good one around 4:00 a.m pacific time....please pray for everyone in this area. I am very thankful that our whole family was together when it hit......it was a relief to know that we were all together and okay.

I am so thankful that this did not happen while we were in church.  It was packed with people yesterday and I think that would of been a bad situation. I do have to say that the church service was awesome!!  To everyone who worked so hard on that program.....you did a wonderful job and everyone loved it!

Good Saturday morning!!  Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!  I had a great day with Tyler yesteday.  We spent a lot of time outside on my back deck just enjoying the beautiful day and listening to the birds sing.  We also spent some time in the kitchen making his Daddy Ryan some cookies.  (Ryan is a diabetic so we have to make his cookies with splenda).  I had him in his seat sitting on the counter and kept handing him utensils to play with.  Of course I had to take a picture or two or three of him too.  :)

Mike, Jeff and I saw the movie Blind Side yesterday.  I know.....we are probably the last people in America to see it but I have to tell you that the movie was awesome!  Seriously, if you have not seen this movie yet, it is a must see.  Absolutely LOVED it!

Could you all please keep our Aunt Evelyn in your prayers that she sells her house in Colorado.  Also to Gary Workman..........yes we will be praying faithfully for Cathy.  If you all didn't see his comment yesterday, his daughter-in-law Cathy (39) has cancer that has spread and would like prayers for her to be healed.

Getting ready for Easter today.  I will be back on tomorrow because I not only want to wish you a "Happy Easter" but it is also a very special day for a few people.

Have you ever owned a real live rabbit?  Yes we did.....Jenna and Jeff both had one for 4-H.  They were cute but a lot of work.

Good morning!  Happy Good Friday everyone!  I am soooo sore right now.  Yesterday in kindergarten we had "egg-olympics" and the class I was working in did the potato sack races.  We rotated the groups and with each new group we "demonstrated" how to do this.  Lets just say that I haven't hopped that much in a long time.  I knew that at the end I was going to be sore......but can I tell you how happy that I am about it too?  I was physically able to do it AND it had been two years since I was able to participate in Easter fun with the students!!  I threw up a grateful thanks to God and realize how much more I appreciate every little thing.....even sack races!  :)  I laughed so hard watching the kids do this.

We had the weirdest weather yesterday too.  We had been having beautiful days then on Wednesday it was SO WINDY and then yesterday morning it rained real hard for a little bit and then cleared up into another beautiful afternoon.  Suppose to be nice weather for the weekend.

I want to wish my dear friend Jessica Silva a very "Happy Birthday"!!!!!!  I know what you are doing for your birthday and I want to tell you to have fun and enjoy every minute of it!!  Eat lots of cake too!

I keep forgetting to ask what everyone thinks so far on American Idol?  I was happy to see Didi go and am hoping Tim is next.  I really like Crystal, Lee, Big Mike and Casey.  Siobhan is interesting and Aaron is cute, Andrew and Katie are okay, but they are not my favs.  At least this is how I feel this week.  Who is everyone's favorites?  I will tell you that from day 1 I picked Crystal to win.  We will see.
