Good Morning!  Here is a picture that my dear friend Brenda Grose, her daughter Bre and her grandson Matthew  wore this past Saturday on their shirts at a big cancer walk in Las Vegas.  I am completely honored.  Thank you so much for doing that and for walking for me and your dad.  I will be there with you next year and will walk it too!

Here we go..........today I started on my oral chemo meds.  Tomorrow I am in San Diego for my 1st out of six rounds of IV chemo.  Please pray that I handle this round okay and that the side effects won't be too bad.  I am not looking forward to the side effects but am looking forward to being done with the treatments completely.  Pray that my body will keep it's levels up so that after this round I will only have a two week break and will be able to finish my last 6 week round.  I will be getting lots of white cell and red cell booster shots along the way this time.  Your prayers have gotten me through this and they will continue to.  Thank you!

Happy Sunday morning!!  Mike and I had a wonderful day out yesterday.  We drove over to Yuma and had a nice lunch at the Texas Roadhouse BBQ restaurant.  Their ribs are so good.  We then drove around Yuma for a while and then came back.  It was fun.  Then our daughter Jenna had us over for dinner last night. She is an awesome cook!   WoooHooo.....I felt like I was on the go all day and it felt great!    Cured my cabin fever!  Today will be another kick back family day for us.  I am starting to get things in order around the house before I start back on the chemo and don't feel like doing anything.

Thanks Denise and Mary Jo for making me laugh so hard last night!  You two are great and I love you both.

Brenda Grose....the picture that you sent to me of what you all wore in the cancer walk brought me happy tears.  Thanks so much and if I can figure out a way to post it here tomorrow I will.  That was so sweet of you!  Love you too!

Good morning!  How is everyone?  I am doing great!  So happy that I am all ready to go next week for chemo.  Everything worked out the way it was suppose to.  I am feeling strong, my levels are getting better and I am mentally ready for this.  I want to get these next twelve treatments over with.

Today Mike and I are going to take a drive over to Yuma and have some lunch and then come back.  It will feel great getting out of the house for a while.  I love hanging out with my hubby!  No matter what we do we always have fun!

UPDATE:  We are good to go for Tuesday!!!  My appointment is at 10:00.  So many things besides just my chemo up in San Diego had to get approved and we are all set!  Thanks so very much for praying!!  I will fill you in more later.

Good morning!!  It is May.....wow!  This year is going by fast!  May is also Melanoma Cancer awareness month.  It is time for me to preach at everyone.  PLEASE......PLEASE......PLEASE......EVERYONE go and make an appointment to get your skin checked!  I DO NOT want anyone to have to go through what I am going through.  I really don't!  Even if your skin is dark you should get checked.  I have read about and known a couple of people who have dark skin and still got melanoma.  But if you are fair skinned you especially should be going to get checked.  Also.....PLEASE EVERYONE wear sunscreen!  Don't go out the door without sunscreen on.  If you are going to be outside for any length of time wear a hat too. 

If you have already been checked this year or are making or have made an appointment with the dermatologist please leave a comment and tell me that you did.  Yes.....I will be asking a lot this month!  I really care about and love everyone who is reading this blog.

I should be hearing from my Drs. office today to see if they have everything they need from my insurance company.  If they do I should be going up on Tuesday for my chemo.  I'll let you know when I find out.  Thanks for praying!  Please pray that it all goes through today!
