Good Wednesday morning!  How has your week been going?  So I have another little prayer request for myself......I don't know what happened or how it happened but I think I might of stressed fractured a bone in my foot.  It is swollen and very painful to walk on.  It is on the top of my foot.  I didn't hit it on anything or drop anything on it.  I will probably be going to get it x-rayed later today.  I was trying to wait to see if it got better on it's own but seems to be getting worse.  I'll keep you updated on what I find out.  I am feeling a bit frustrated at this point.  You already know that more Drs. appointments are not what I thought I would be in for so soon.  I just keep telling myself that God has a plan.  My friend Stacey Barbee told me it was probably too much "Happy Dancing!"  Lol

My American Idol friends.....I thought that Crystal rocked the house last night!  I really do like both Crystal and Lee so I will be happy with whoever wins.  Who do you think will be our next American Idol?  Can't wait for tonights show!

Just to let you all know that Bill Cartwright's funeral has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 1st at 10:00 at Faith Assembly Church in Imperial. Thank you for all of the prayers for their family.

Are you an early bird morning person or a night owl?  I am totally a morning person.

Good Tuesday morning!!  WoooooHooooo!!! Praise God!!   I can't even begin to tell you all how thankful and happy I am.  To hear the words "I don't need to see you again for 3 months" was music to my ears!  I don't have any medical appointments until June 22nd when I go back to Hoag Hospital for another melanoma vaccine shot.  Yippee!!  No major tests are due until August.  Thats when it will all begin again ie: (PET scan, brain MRI, etc...) so until then I am not going to think about it and just enjoy the rest of this school year and look forward to a nice summer.  Doing a lot of "Happy Dancing" in this house!  THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for faithfully praying for me and for your support, love and encouragement!  It means a tremendous amount to me.  I am very proud to say that I am a walking miracle of God!

Now I have some not so good news to share.  My sister-in-law Lori got the results from her latest surgery and they still did not get all of the cancer.  I guess she has a type of cancer that is not detectable by a scan.  They can only tell under a microscope.  So she has an appointment in a few days to discuss what they are going to do next.  Looks like it could be a mastectomy.  We are asking for prayers that it has not spread past her breast area, and that they will be able to get it all with the next surgery.  My brother's name is John and they both really appreciate all of your prayers for Lori.  While my whole family is rejoicing over my news they are very saddened over this news of Lori.

Here is my little punkin Tyler.  He loves to smile for his Nanie.  Thanks for letting me share him with you.

I had the awesome pleasure of visiting with the Cartwright family last night.  It was wonderful to sit around and share funny stories about Bill and remember all the terrific things he did.  Please continue to keep their family in your prayers for strength and comfort.  They are still working on the funeral arrangements.

Psalms 75 verse1 How we thank you, Lord!  Your mighty miracles give proof that you care.  77 verse 13 & 14:  O God, your ways are holy.  Where is there any other as mighty as you?  You are the God of miracles and wonders!  You still demonstrate your awesome power.

Good news!!!  The doctor believes the one tumor is just scar tissue and hasn't grown and does not want to see Leslie again for another three months!  PRAISE GOD!!!  Thank you everyone for your prayers.  She is stuffing her face with pizza right now in celebration!  I am so thankful to God for continuing to heal my sister! 

Good Monday morning.  I want to thank you all for keeping the whole Cartwright family in your thoughts and prayers.  I know how much they appreciate that.  I find comfort in knowing that Bill is in God's arms and he is in no more pain.  Please continue to keep the family in your prayers for strength and comfort as they make funeral arrangements this week.

Mike and I are heading up to San Diego this morning to meet with my neurosurgeon for the results to my latest brain scan.  My appointment is at 11:30 pacific time.  I appreciate your continued prayers that the results are good.  As soon as my appointment is done I will call my sister and have her give you an update on here.  I want you to all know that I truly feel all of your prayers for me.

I want to go back in the Psalms today and write a more revised version of Psalms 23:  Because the Lord is my shepherd, I have everything I need!  He lets me rest in the meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams.  He restores my failing health.  He helps me do what honors him the most.  Even when walking through the dark valley of death I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me, guarding, guiding all the way.  You provide delicious food for me in the presence of my enemies.  You have welcomed me as your guest; blessings overflow!  Your goodness and unfailing kindness shall be with me all of my life, and afterwards I will live with you forever in your home.

Dear Bill......you touched so many lives with your hard work, integrity, compassion, love for your family and generosity.  You were such a positive role model to many and I want to thank you for all of that.

It is with a very heavy heart that I wanted to let you know that my friend Bill Cartwright went home to be with our Lord Jesus at 3:15 a.m.  God received a very special angel when he got Bill.  I know he is in no more pain and is happy to be with God.  I know he will be watching over his family and friends. 

Bill and I shared a connection with going through all of this ugly cancer stuff together.  One of my best memories of him is when my co-workers and friends held a candle light vigil in my front yard for me and came to pray for me to be healed of cancer and there standing among them all was Bill and Donna.  I will never forget that.

During these last few days of his life he managed to sit up and ask Brenda how I was doing?  I am bawling right now typing this.  Here he was not feeling well at all and he was asking about me.  I feel so fortunate in my life to have known this wonderful man.  He was always thinking of others.

He was not only a great person and friend but an awesome Husband to a beautiful woman (Donna) and father to 4 beautiful kids and many grandkids and great-grandkids.  He was a hard working man and provided the best for his family.  He LOVED his family!

Bill....we love you and you will always be in our hearts and memories.
