Good Saturday morning!!  Mike and I made it through a week of traveling and medical appointments.  Everything went great up at Hoag again.  I am so happy that it is the weekend though.  No medical appointments for 2 days!  Yay!!  On Monday is when I meet with my neurosurgeon in San Diego for the results to my brain scan.  Please pray that the results are good and that he has nothing but good news for me.   After Monday's appointment I shouldn't have any more medical appointments until the end of June.  Thanks everyone for your prayers and being so faithful!

I want to wish my sister-in-law Noni a very "Happy Birthday" today!!!!  Have a super fun weekend!  I snuck the sign on top of Tyler's head so he wouldn't try to smash it.  :)  He says Happy Birthday too!

B'Day Noni

Things don't look well for my friend Bill Cartwright.  I believe that hospice has been called to the home and he is resting comfortably.  His family is all here and he is surrounded by lots of love.  Please keep the whole Cartwright family in your prayers for strength, peace and comfort. They have been so grateful for the prayers. This has not been an easy week for any of them.  My heart is breaking........I love you Bill.

Psalms 71 verse 15 & 16:  I will tell everyone how good you are, and of your constant, daily care.  I walk in the strength of the Lord God.  I tell everyone that you alone are just and good.  72 verse 19:  Blessed be his glorious name forever!  Let the whole earth be filled with his glory.  Amen and amen.

Prayers also for Lori, Lorri, Teresa, Wayne, Trudy and Cathy.

Have a super day and weekend everyone!!  I have another busy weekend.  I won't be blogging again until Monday.  See you then!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

What was the last thing you took a picture of???

Good Thursday morning!  How is everyone's week going?

First and foremost I wanted to let you know that my friend Bill Cartwright is not doing very well right now.  He is very sick and weak.  I know how grateful he and the family is for all of your prayers.  I am asking if you could all please keep him in your prayers for healing and strength.  I will keep you posted.

Thank you so much everyone for praying for me yesterday.  Everything went well at Hoag Hospital.  There was no trouble with my port. They took 10 vials of blood again (eeek!).  The skin test did hurt but all is well now.  I am having a little reaction to the skin test like I did the last time but that is a good thing.  Mike and I are headed back up tonight to San Diego so I can be at Hoag tomorrow morning for them to read my skin test and to give me a shot.  I will be so glad when this week is over.

The surgery with my sister-in-law Lori went well.  They won't know the results until sometime next week as to whether they got all the cancer or not.  She is at home and resting comfortably.  Thank you for continually praying for her too.

American Idol friends......and I know there are a lot of you......so it is down to Crystal and Lee for American Idol.  Both are great singers.  I thought Lee's performance of Hallelujah this week was awesome!  I just knew all along it would get down to these two.  Who do you think will win?

Congratulations to Matt and Erica Scaroni on the birth of their son Sam Matthew yesterday!  I know that the grandparents are super excited that this little one is here now!  God bless your new little baby!

Psalms 69 verse 16b: for your loving kindness is wonderful; your mercy is so plentiful, so tender and so kind. verse 34: Praise him, all heaven and earth!  Praise him, all the seas and everything in them!

Since I will be gone tomorrow I won't be blogging again until Saturday.  Have a super day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!  Thank you God for your unconditional love for all of us.

What was the last kind of sandwich that you ate?  For me it was a ham & cheese with mustard and tomato.

Good Tuesday morning!  Thank you all for the prayers yesterday.  Mike and I are so appreciative!  Everything went really well with the MRI brain scan.  There wasn't any trouble with the port either.  Thanks for all the e-mails and text messages of encouragement.  God is Good!!  Going to see my neurosurgeon next Monday for the results.

My sister-in-law Lori is going into surgery again this morning to try to get all the cancer.  My brother and Lori so appreciate you keeping them both in your prayers.  I will update you on how she is doing when I find out.

Bill Cartwright could really use all of our prayers right now.  He needs parayers for strength and healing.  Fight Bill.....I know it is hard but you can do it.  Call me Brenda if you need me to go over and see him.

Mike and I are headed up to San Diego tonight.  We will leave early the next morning for Hoag hospital.  They will have to draw blood again from my port, so I am asking for prayers again that it will go smoothly. (Thanks Aunt MaryAnn for the advice) I won't be able to blog tomorrow but will be back on Thursday.

This is Tyler's latest accomplishment.  He is starting to sit up by himself now.  Doesn't last too long but he is doing it some.  Look at what a big boy he is getting to be.

Psalms 66 verses 8&9:  Let everyone bless God and sing his praises, for he holds our lives in his hands.  And he holds our feet to the path.  67 verse 1 & 3:  O God, in mercy bless us; let your face beam with joy as you look down on us.  How everyone throughout the earth will praise the Lord!

Have a terrific day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Good Monday morning!!  What a wonderful weekend.........it flew by!  I knew it would.  The reunion I had on Saturday with friends from my church youth group as a teen was awesome!  We had so much fun and laughed so hard.  It was like time had never passed.   Lots of old pictures that brought back some great memories.  One of the things we did was to go back to the church we attended and the pastor of the church just happen to show up at the same time (what a coincidence) and gave us all a tour again. Seeing and being in the old church again was so cool.  Here is a picture of some of the group outside one of our favorite restaurants, Camachos.  For those of you not from Imperial Valley, Camacho's is a 50 year old hole-in-the-wall out in the middle of nowhere!  But the food is good and it's an Imperial Valley tradition.  The group plans on meeting again this fall and hopefully even more friends will attend.  Donald, Fred, Leslie, Edna, Ken, Marga and Rob.

Today also kicks off a very busy week for me medical wise.  Today is my MRI brain scan.  My neurosurgeon only wanted to wait 2 months this time because he is keeping a close watch on that one tumor that seems to be irritated.  I am asking for prayer that not only will the test go smooth but that the area of my brain looks much better.  I won't know the results until next Monday.  Also my port has been giving the nurses some trouble lately and you all know how much I hate needles, so if you could also throw up a prayer that they can get a good return on the first try.

Prayer request........comfort and peace for the families that have lost a loved one.

Psalms 65 verse 2:  And because you answer prayer, all mankind will come to you with their requests.  66 verse 1 & 2: Sing to the Lord, all the earth!  Sing of his glorious name!  Tell the world how wonderful he is.

Have a marvelous day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!  Thank you God for sweet memories!

What was your favorite food hang out spot as a teen? Ours was a place called Naugles.  It was later replaced by Del Taco.

Good Saturday morning!!  I want to wish my nephew Cyrus a very "Happy Birthday" today!  We had a good time at your party last night.  Hope you have a super fun day today!

I am sooooo ready to meet up with some of my old friends from the church High School youth group I was a part of today.  I can't believe we waited this long to reunite.  I have to say that being on Facebook is what got the ball rolling.  I love Facebook because I get to stay connected and got reconnected with a lot of friends that I would usually only talk to once or twice a year.

Hey my brother-in-law Matt.......I took a picture of Tyler wishing you a "Happy Birthday"......I told you he only wants to smash the sign now.  Ha! Ha!

No we are not New York Yankees fans....Tyler's babysitter is a huge NYC fan so when Jenna took Tyler to her house yesterday in a San Diego Padre outfit she changed it to this one.  Ha! HA!  Love it!  His sitter Sylvia is so sweet and funny.  We love her lots!

Prayer requests........ Lori..... Mike J .... Cathy..... Cyndi..... Bill.... Teresa.... Wayne.... Kate..... Ron....and many others who are fighting cancer, for total healing and encouragement and for their families for strength as they are taking care of them.  Taking care of a loved one who is so ill is hard.  We need to remember their families in prayer as much as we remember the ones who are fighting.  Also safe traveling mercies for Monica and Gregg.

Psalms 64 verse 9 & 10:  Everyone shall stand in awe and confess the greatness of the miracles of God; at last they will realize what amazing things he does.  And the godly shall rejoice in the Lord, and trust and praise him.

Have a super fun weekend everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!  I will be back again on Monday!

Last of the weird food combinations.....garlic bread topped with peanut butter & spaghetti, peanut butter & cucumber sandwiches, eggs with spam & white rice and chocolate chip cookies with cottage cheese (okay now that is gross) .  I have loved reading some of your weird food combos.  I am going to have to try some.  You just never know......might be really tasty!  Gaynell Irving.....being a registered dietician I am sure you have seen some interesting food combos too.  Anything different?
