Good morning!  It's Friday.......yay!!!!  I have a super busy weekend planned. Tonight is my nephew Cyrus' 14th birthday party.  He is graduating from 8th grade next month too.  Wow....has the time flown by.  He is not my little nephew anymore.....he is about 6 feet tall if not more.

When I was in High School going to church, we had a really big youth group that hung out together and did all kinds of crazy and fun things together.  They are some of my best memories as a teen!  Well for the first time since I have graduated from High School our youth group is getting together for a reunion.  I am so looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow and hearing all about what they have been up to.  I know there will be great stories and lots of laughs.

Here is a picture of Tyler and his sweet momma on Mother's Day.  Jenna loves being a mom and Tyler sure loves his mommy!

Psalms 63 verse 3:  for your love and kindness are better to me than life itself.  How I praise you!  I will bless you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer.  At last I shall be fully satisfied; I will praise you with great joy.

Have a fantabulous day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and he is so good!!

More weird food combinations.....peanut butter & ham sandwiches, fritos & caramel sauce, pancakes & ketchup and doritos dipped in cream cheese.  Any takers????  Anyone want to confess what weird things they eat??

Good Thursday morning!!  As some of you might know my cousin Anthony Hobbs, (my Aunt MaryAnn's grandson, my cousin Bev's son) is serving in the military in Iraq.  I wanted to do something special for him while he is there so I asked Miss Jessica Silva and her Room 1 kindergartener's if they would make cards for Anthony and his troop.  Miss Silva was more then happy to do it and the class got started on the cards right away.  Here is a picture of the cards they made.   They turned out so beautiful and are so sweet!!  The kids were very excited to make them.  On the inside of the cards they drew a picture of themselves and wrote a note.  The note said....Dear Soldier, Thank you for protecting us.  I hope you get to come home soon.  We love you.  Thank you so much for doing this Room 1.  I know that it will mean a lot to the soldiers to get these cards and know we are thinking about them and appreciate all they do to keep our country safe.  God bless you all.

Soldier Cards

I want to wish my brother-in-law Matt a very "Happy Birthday"!!!!!!  Have a great day today Matt filled with fun!!!  Sorry I didn't get a picture of Tyler wishing you a Happy Birthday but all he wants to do is smash the sign now....Ha! Ha!

So what did you all think about American Idol last night?  Who is going to win?  It was hard for me to see Big Mike go because I like all of the last 4 contestants.  I had picked Crystal to win from the beginning.  I think it will be between her and Lee......we shall see.

Congrats Randi and Shawn on getting the new house!  Very happy for you both!

Prayer requests....safety for those men and women serving in our military all over the world..........and a HUGE prayer request for Cathy Workman who is under going the gamma knife procedure today for her brain tumors.  Please pray for total healing for her and for strength for her family right now.  It has been a very rough road for them lately.

Psalms 59 verse 16:  But as for me, I will sing each morning about your power and mercy.  For you have been my high tower of refuge, a place of safety, my God of mercy.

Have a super day everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!

More weird food combinations.....mash potatos & noodles with gravy, gravy & biscuits with grape jelly, chocolate cake with pinto beans and hollowed out pickles filled with ranch dressing & cheese.  Hmmmm.....very interesting.  Would you try any of these?

Good Wednesday morning!!  Hope you are having a great week!  Jenna and I went to the monthly cooking class that our church hosts last night.  Mary Seitz teaches it and she is wonderful.  I am always learning something new that I didn't know before and she has the best recipes.  Thanks again Mary.....that was fun!

So my American Idol friends......what did you think of last night?  Who should go home?  I loved the duets last night.  I like all the contestants.......it is getting too hard to chose.  I think Crystal and Lee are safe.  We shall see tonight.

I forgot to post a picture of Tyler with his 6 month candle.  When I compare this to his other pictures I can't get over how fast he is growing and how much he changes.  He brings a BIG smile to this Nani's face everyday!

Anyone tried any of these???  :)

Good Tuesday morning!!  This is the first week in a looooong time that I don't have any medical appointments!!  Yahoo!!  I had one Dr. appointment last week that wasn't too bad.  The worst part about it was that I had to wait 2 hours.  I am going to relish in the fact that I don't have any medical appointments because next week will be awful.  Monday is my next MRI brain scan.  My neurosurgeon wanted me to have one soon because they are keeping an eye on that one tumor.  If you could please pray that the tumor will start looking better I would so appreciate it.  Please pray that it has not grown.  Then Mike and I will leave Tuesday evening for my sisters house so we can be at Hoag hospital Wednesday morning for my melanoma vaccine.  We will head back home on Wednesday but turn around and head back up Thursday evening to my sisters house so I can be back at Hoag on Friday morning.  Unfortunately they have to do skin tests too so I have to be back on Friday so they can read them.  It will be a rough week but I am thanking God for the wonderful opportunity to be getting this vaccine.  Thank you for praying for me and that the vaccine works.

Then the following Monday I have to return to San Diego to my neurosurgeons for the results to my brain scan.  After that I shouldn't have another appointment until the end of June.  Again......thanks for keeping me in your prayers.

Hey Uncle Mark......here is the picture of Tyler in the American Idol shirt!  Thanks again for getting it for him!  Can't wait to watch tonight.

Prayer requests:  Martha-cancer, Cathy-cancer, Wayne-cancer, Alan-health, Aydin-health, Pastor Jackson-health, Bill Cartwright-health.

Have a terrific day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Good Monday morning!!  How was your weekend?  Ladies.....how was your Mother's Day?  I had such a wonderful weekend!  My family spoiled me!  Our whole family went out to breakfast, then church.  Relaxed in the afternoon and Jenna made a great dinner last night.  Children and grandchildren are such a wonderful blessing.  I am so thankful to God that I have both and that I was here to celebrate the day with them. God could not of given me more wonderful kids.

Here are Jenna, me, Tyler and Jeff at breakfast yesterday morning.

Mother's Day 2

Amy Bonillas..........great picture of your son Ryan in the newspaper!  I would like a glazed twist or a maple bar please!  Ha! Ha!  For those of you that don't know.....if you work at Waggoner School and one of your family members gets their picture in the paper you have to bring donuts for the whole staff.  Oh we love it when someone gets their pic in the paper!!  Amy and another co-worker Gina Cosio did a fantastic job organizing a fund raiser for the American Heart Association.  Our school raised $10,000.  Amy has an amazing story about what her son Ryan went through at the age of 3.  Since our school raised so much money our Principal shaved all of his hair off in front of the students.  They LOVED it!!  Way to go Mr. Ruvalcaba!!!  The students will always remember that!

I have two specific things that I would like to ask prayer for.  One is my sister-in-law Lori got the results back from her lumpectomy.  They did not get all the cancer.  She unfortunately has to have surgery again to remove more.  She and my brother are understandably upset over the news.  I don't know when she is scheduled for her next surgery yet but will let you know when I find out.  The other one is for the Danny Benevides family for strength and comfort.  He was a local California Highway Patrol Officer that died in the line of duty Friday.  He was a pilot for the CHP and his airplane crashed.

Psalms 52 verse 8b:  I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.  Verse 9b: And I will wait for your mercies--for everyone knows what a merciful God you are.

Have a super day everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!

Are you a french fry or onion ring kinda person??
