Good Saturday morning!!  We had such a great time at the employee picnic at Pioneer's Hospital yesterday afternoon.  They had the biggest bouncing jumpers I have ever seen.  Tyler had a super time on them and he kept going from one to another and took Poppi with him.  Tyler also got his face painted with his favorite Sesame Street character Elmo.  The food was great and spending time with the Pioneer's family of employees is just awesome.  Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make it such a fun event to attend.

Today is going to be great.  Mike's parents like to get the whole family together and take us all bowling and then out to dinner.  So that is what is on the agenda for this afternoon and evening.  I like to bowl but the last few times we went I was a cheerleader instead because I was too weak to do it.  I am ready today!  yep.....we'll see how well I do.

Sunday will be busy fun with the kids in children's church.  They have a big program to put on for the whole church this Sunday.  Love working with the kids.  To see them so excited to hear and learn stories from the bible makes all of it so worth it!

Just had to share this pic with you all.  This was taken on Mother's Day.  Jen, me, Ty and Jeff.  As you can see I am one happy Mom who is so thankful for the family that God has so graciously blessed me with. Ty and I are cracking up here.

Mother's Day
I would like to wish my brother-in-law Matt a very "Happy Birthday" today!! Matt I sure wish that you and the family could be with us today.  We miss you all! (Matt and family live in Missouri) I would also like to wish my nephew Cyrus a "Happy Birthday" on Sunday!! I will see you today Cyrus.  Have a wonderfully fun weekend of celebrating you two!!

Let's take the time to thank God for all the blessings we receive on a daily basis.  When we take the time and truly think about it, there is so much to be thankful for.  Let's also thank God for all the answers to our prayers too.

Psalms 136 verse 1:  Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his lovingkindness continues forever.

Question......Do you like to go bowling?  Last time you went?  What was your score?

Grace is available for each of us everyday - our spiritual daily bread - but we've got to remember to ask for it with a grateful heart and not worry about whether there will be enough for tomorrow.....

Good Friday morning!  Yay!!  Ready for another weekend!  This afternoon we will be at Pioneers Memorial Hospital's employee picnic.  I am going to pick up my sweet Tyler from the babysitter's house and we are going to go and meet Mommy and Poppi Mike there.  We always have a great time at these events.  It is so fun to have Tyler at this age because he is big enough now to have fun with the other kids and to participate in some of the activities.

I cannot believe American Idol last night.  When they first said Lauren was safe I was like okay, I am good with that.  But when they said Haley was safe next and it left James and Scotty I couldn't believe it!  Seriously love Scotty but to have James booted off before Haley???  Wow.....I was shocked.....for me it is Scotty all the way!!  Obviously I was wrong again on who should of left...hahaha.  But all the texts and e-mails I got last night from friends were just as shocked as me and thought Haley should of gone home too.  James will definitely have a great future.

Here is a picture of just a section of the Flower Fields that Mike and I visited when we were in San Diego for my Cyber Knife treatments.  It was so beautiful.

Here we are at Cabrillo Point on another afternoon.  It was so peaceful and beautiful and we just chillaxed there all afternoon.

Prayer requests:  Please pray for a couple who are still struggling to save their marriage.  They are dealing with some issues on trust and trying hard to make it work out not only for them but for their children too.  They do feel that some progress is being made.

Psalms 128 verse 5:  May the Lord continually bless you with heaven's blessings as well as with human joys!

Read the bible in a year:  Today.......2 Chronicles 9 - 12.  Saturday......2 Chronicles 13 - 17.

Have a fantabulous day everyone!  Today is another wonderful gift from God and He is so Good!

Question.........Where is the best place that you have had a picnic?  The best place was when Mike and I took Jenna and Jeff when they were little to Yosimite.  We could see the waterfalls and it was gorgeous!

"Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves."----James Barrie

Good Thursday morning!  How is everyone's week going so far?  The winds have seemed to stop and it is warming up here again.  My first day back to work went great!  I feel good and didn't get tired....well other then the usual tired.  It was good seeing the kids and my co-workers again.  The parents and PTO put on a fabulous luncheon for our entire school staff for Teacher appreciation Day.  Thanks to everyone who helped put that on.  It was awesome!

Tyler is doing wonderful!  He acts like he has never had surgery.  Thank you again for praying for him.

So what did you think of Amercan Idol last night?  James really rocked the house and did great.  I can't help it but I just love Scotty.  I am only a little bit of a country western fan but I  like him.  Lauren really did good too.  So if I had to pick one to be booted off tonight it would be Haley.  Sorry to all you Haley fans out there.  Guess we will see what happens tonight.  Who do you think will win?

Here are a couple more pics of Tyler at the beach.  This one he is looking for shells.

Psalms 56 verses 9b -11:  This is one thing I know: God is for me!  I am trusting God--oh, praise his promises!  I am not afraid of anything mere man can do to me!  Yes, praise his promises.

Good Wednesday morning!!  Tyler did wonderful yesterday!  Thank you for all of the prayers for him.  Dr. Pransky said that his adenoids were huge and that this should help Tyler a lot now that they are out.  He slept a lot yesterday but seemed to be starting to get back to his regular self late yesterday afternoon.  Tyler's favorite character on Sesame Street is Elmo.  He loves Elmo!  So Nani found him an Elmo book with a little stuffed Elmo to help him recover (wink-wink).  He loved it.  And of course Nani gave him lots of cuddles and kisses too.

Here are a few pictures that Ryan took from his cell phone of Tyler yesterday.  This first one is of the back of Tyler in his hospital gown right before he was taken to get prepped for surgery.  So cute!  I don't think I have seen a gown so small.

Here he is with Mommy right after the surgery.

And here he is with Daddy who is trying to get Tyler to drink after the surgery.

I am so thankful for everyone of you out there for praying.  What a blessing it has been and to see God's miracles happen all the time.  I praise God for answering our prayers and for His perfect timing.  He is always with us and never leaves us and cares so deeply no matter how big or small of a request.  Please know that there are so many prayer warriors that would love to pray for you.  If you have a prayer request please e-mail me at leslie@mgilbert.net  They will remain confidential unless you ask to have me put it on this blog.  Even then it can remain anonymous.

Prayer requests:  Please pray for a little 1 year old girl named Felicity who has been diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma.  This little girl is facing a lot of rounds of chemo (which she has started) and surgery.  Felicity also has a twin sister named Serenity.  Please keep Felicity and her whole family in your prayers.  Please pray for strength, encouragement and God's blessings on this little girl and her family.  Pray that Felicity will be fully healed and that her family's needs will be met.   I will keep you updated on her progress.  Also for my friend Chris H. who is starting her chemo today.  Also for little Samuel whose blood levels need to improve to have his next round of chemo.

Psalms 86 verses 10 - 13a:  For you are great, and do great miracles.  You alone are God.  Tell me where you want me to go and I will go there.  May every fiber of my being unite in reverence to your name.  With all my heart I will praise you.  I will give glory to your name forever, for you love me so much!  You are constantly so kind!

Open the eyes of my heart Lord, open the eyes of my heart,  I want to see you, I want to see you.  To see you high and lifted up, shinin' in the light of your glory, pour out your power and love, as we sing holy, holy, holy.  --Praise song by Michael W. Smith

Good Tuesday morning!  This morning my sweet Tyler Michael is at Children's Hospital having his adenoids taken out at around 8:00.  Jenna will call me when he gets all done and then will call when she and Ryan get home so I can go and see my little sidekick.  Thank you all so much for praying for Tyler.  I am sure he will charm all the nurses there.  I will let you know tomorrow how it all went.

I am feeling much stronger and am ready to go back to work tomorrow.  I did a whole lot of nothing yesterday and that might sound like a good thing but it drove me nuts.  I like to be up and at it.  But I am being a very good girl and listening to my Doc.  I want to heal like I am suppose to so I can be ready and feeling good for everything that is coming up, especially next week for Jeff's college graduation.

Here is a picture of Dr. Lean and I.  She is one sweet, caring, loving and intelligent lady who I simply adore.  God has blessed me TREMENDOUSLY with such wonderful Drs. and nurses.

Here is a picture of Tyler in my suitcase.  He was with me right up until the last minute before Mike and I left last Tuesday for San Diego.  I just wanted to zip up the suitcase and take him with me.  He did eventually help Nani pack her things.
