Good Monday morning!  How was your weekend?  How was all you beautiful Mom's out there Mother's Day?  I had a really wonderful day and my family spoiled me.  My family took me out to breakfast in the morning and then we all went to church.  I was thankful that I was up to going.  I pretty much kicked back for the afternoon before heading over to Ryan and Jenna's for a great dinner.  We also watched the season finale to the Amazing Race.  We were bummed that Gary and Mal didn't win but it was still a good show.

I am feeling better each day.  I still have some fatigue and soreness but that was to be expected.  I look forward to going back to work on Wednesday and getting back to my routine.

I wanted to share a few pictures with you of me at the Cyber Knife Center so you can see what it looked like.  This first one is of me in my fitted vest (more like a tight fitting short cocktail dress) which has sensors all over it.  They had me wearing a long sleeved shirt and leggings underneath to help stay warm.

Cyber 01
Here is me and the Cyber Knife robot who I named Wilbur.  Don't know why that name....it just seem to fit.  The staff cracked up and thought it was a great name. haha!

Cyber 02
Here I am laying down getting prepped to start the treatment.  You can see "Wilbur" behind me.  He actually comes to life and comes over to me, extends that big arm and that huge machine actually breathes with me.  I could see it breathing the same pattern as me.  It was so cool.  That arm shot radiation from hundreds of different angles to my tumors.  I had to lay perfectly still for an hour.

Cyber 03
Here is the beautful fall scenery that I was able to look at on the ceiling too.  They could not of picked a better scene for me to look at.  I love fall.  It is my favorite!

Cyber 04
Tomorrow I will post a picture of me right after my last treatment with Dr. Lean.  She is such a sweetheart and so kind.

Prayer requests:  Tomorrow morning, bright and early, our sweet little Tyler is going to have his adenoids removed at Children's Hospital.  It is a very simple outpatient procedure but I would like for you to pray that everything goes smooth and that Tyler recovers quickly.  As much as I hate IV's....I would take it instead of Tyler, but I know he will be fine.

Psalms 34 verses 1 - 3:  I will praise the Lord no matter what happens.  I will constantly speak of his glories and grace.  I will boast of all his kindness to me.  Let all who are discouraged take heart.  Let us praise the Lord together, and exalt his name.

Read the bible in a year:  Today.....1 Chronicles 25 - 27.  Tuesday......1 Chronicles 28/ 2 Chronicles 1.

Have a marvelous day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!  Thank you Lord for your tender new mercies each day.

Question.......What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?  My top choice would always be huevos rancheros.

"Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever."

Good Saturday morning!!  Even though Monica and Gregg spoiled Mike and I a ton, it was great sleeping in my own bed last night and waking up in my own home.  I am very happy to be back and I am feeling pretty good.  I have some soreness on and in my chest but not too bad.  It is just going to be another layed back day for me but my little sidekick is coming over to spend some time with his Poppi and Nani today and I can't wait.

So I was telling you all about what I call as "God's miraculous signs" to me.  Well on Wednesday after my first treatment Mike and I were driving along and saw this on a hill in big white letters.  Can you believe it?

Hope 1

So we turned around and got closer so I could take a picture of it and this was the little sign that was right next to it.  Totally awesome!  I was high fiving God!  I felt such joy when I read this.

Hope 2

Then after my 3rd treatment Mike and I had just gotten on the freeway and I looked over and saw this on the rooftop of an old house.  So I had Mike turn around again and I took this picture going about 65 mph by it but I couldn't believe it and just had to get a picture and show you all.  How incredibly cool is that?  Awwww......God is with me and showing me in more ways than one how much He loves me and is right by my side in all of this.  I am at peace.  I "see" His miracles all around me.

Hope 3

Thank you again for all the prayers for me.  The support I have received has been phenominal.  I don't think I will have any Dr. appointments again until June.  Then my brain scan, full body PET scan, appointments with Dr. McClay, Dr. Lean, Dr Ott etc.... are all due at once.  June will be busy.  Pray that I hear nothing but great results.

Happy Birthday to Lorri Cavins today!!  Have a super fun day with your family!!

I want to wish my sweet Mom a very "Happy Mother's Day" on Sunday!!  I am looking forward to spending the day with my family.  The Dr. made me promise to do nothing but relax so that is what I will be doing.....and reading books to my little buddy!

My prayer request for this weekend is that God will bless all of you beautiful and wonderful Mom's out there with a fabulous weekend!  I hope your family pampers you.  Every mom deserves that because it is the hardest but most rewarding job in the world to be a mom.

Isaiah 41 verse 10:  Fear not, for I am with you.  Do not be dismayed.  I am your God.  I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.

Read the bible in a year:  Today.....1 Chronicles 18 - 21.  Sunday.......1 Chronicles 22 - 24.  Monday.....1 Chronicles 25 - 27.

Have a wonderfully relaxing weekend everyone!  See you on Monday.  Today is another gift from God which I am so thankful for and He is so Good!

Question.......Have you ever been served breakfast in bed?  Yes......Mike, Jenna and Jeff did it  for me for special occasions.  Awwww....great, sweet memories!

1:00 p.m. UPDATE:  Hello and Happy Friday everyone!  I AM HOME!!  Yay!!  So happy to be done and at home.  I met with Dr. Lean after my procedure today and she said that the fatigue is really going to set in during the next few days.  So I won't be returning back to work until Wednesday.  She wants me to relax and take it super easy.  I don't think that is going to be a problem since I feel so tired right now.  I am going to lay down for a nap right now.

Thanks for keeping me in your prayers.  I got through this and everything went so smooth.  Now let's pray that it takes care of all this cancer and that I won't ever have to do anything more again.

Thanks to Monica and Gregg for everything!  We were spoiled.

I will blog tomorrow morning.  I saw another amazing thing right after my treatment today that you won't believe.  I call them "my miracles from God."  Will show a picture tomorrow.  God shows me plainly that He is with me.  I am in awe.

Have a great rest of your day.  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

4: 15 p.m. UPDATE: Hello!!  I now have 2 treatments done and only 1 more to go!  YES!!!  Everything went really well again today too.  So far I am feeling good!  No side effects that I can tell.  Thank you for praying me through this.  I know that is why everything is good!  Your calls, comments, e-mails, texts and cards I cherish.  It really does help keep my spirits lifted and to stay encouraged!   The staff at the Cyber Knife center even said that Mike could come in and take pictures before we got started.  They told us that everyone takes pics and they don't mind at all.  I will share those later.

Mike took me to one of our favorite places to hang out today.  We went to Cabrillo Point in Point Loma.  It is a beautiful place on the ocean with lots of cool cliffs to climb.  We hiked to one, put our shade up, and our blanket down and just chilled there all afternoon.  The sounds of the waves crashing were so peaceful.  We even got an extra special treat.....a couple of seals came swimming by.  They were so cute.  I was able to get a picture of one that I will post later.

Looking forward to eating some good mexican food  tonight with Monica and Gregg in honor of Cinco de Mayo and watching the results to American Idol.

Tomorrow after my treatment we will be heading home.  I will blog sometime tomorrow in the afternoon.  Hope everyone is having a great day!  Today has been another wonderful gift from God and He is so Good!

Yo te amo!!!  Gracias para tus oraciones.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!!  Leslie just called and said everything went great.  Two down and one more to go.  She will be on later today to provide more details.  Her and Mike are heading to Point Loma right now...it is another beautiful day today!  Thanks for your continual prayers and support!!!  Sister Monica

4:30 p.m.  UPDATE:  Hello everyone!  Everything went really smooth today!  Thank you all so much for your prayers.  I have 1 treatment down and 2 more to go now.  I will have to describe it to you more at length when I get a chance.  I am feeling a little tired this afternoon but am doing really well.

Mike and I went to a place in Carlsbad called the Flower Field after my treatment.  It was a huge field of flowers that are in full bloom now.  It was so nice to walk through it and I took some pictures.  They also had a green house full of poinsettias too.

We then took a drive along the coast and stopped at the beach for a while.  The weather here right now is gorgeous.  We hung out there for a while and then made our way back to Monica and Gregg's house.

Looking forward to watching American Idol tonight and really doing a whole lot of nothing but resting.

Thank you for all the kindness and loving support you have given to me.  I sure do appreciate it very much!

I can't wait to tell you all when I get home the incredible thing I saw right after I got my cyber knife treatment done.  You won't believe it......so I took a picture of it and will post it when we get home.  All I can say is that GOD IS SO GOOD and he is watching over me and shows me in BIG ways!

Have a great evening and I will blog again tomorrow when I get a chance.  My love to you all.  Today has been another gift from God and He is so Good!!

Leslie update:  Everything went very well!  Leslie and Mike are going to cruise along the coast this afternoon and she will come on later to provide an update.  Thank you everyone for your prayers!  God is Good!!!!  Sister Monica
