Once you choose HOPE, anything is possible.....

Good Tuesday morning!!  Well Mike and I are headed out this evening to San Diego.  My 1st Cyber Knife treatment is tomorrow morning at 8:15 a.m. in Vista.  I won't be blogging in the morning but will sometime tomorrow and let you all know how it went.  I have so appreciated all the positive thoughts and prayers that have come my way.  Your extreme kindness has really touched our hearts.  I will also have a treatment on Thusday and Friday morning.  We should be home on Friday afternoon sometime.  Please keep praying that this works and that everything goes super smooth.  God is Good!

Lots of things happening in May for our family.  My sweet little grandson Tyler will be having surgery on May 10th at Children's Hospital to have his adenoids taken out.  It is a very simple outpatient procedure but it still makes this Nani nervous.  Pray that all goes smooth too.

The most exciting news though is that my son Jeff is graduating from San Diego State University with his Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice on May 19th!!  WooHoo!!  My baby is graduating from college!  We have a BIG party planned for him on the 21st.  I keep thanking God for the blessing of being here and being able to see this awesome moment in my son's life.

Here are a couple of pics from our camping trip of Tyler when he and Nani snuck into the trailer and had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches together.  Finger lickin' good!

Thank you Terrie O.!!!  Very fun!!!

Prayer requests:  First of all I am so very proud of our troops for their major accomplishment on getting Osama Bin Laden.  Let's keep all of our men and women who are serving in our military in our prayers for safety, protection and strength.  God bless the USA!  Our country is so thankful to all the members serving in our military for keeping us safe and free.

Isaiah 26 verse 3 & 4: He will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in him, whose thoughts turn often to the Lord!  Trust in the Lord God always, for in the Lord Jehovah is your everlasting strength.

Read the bible in a year:  Today......1 Chronicles 7 - 8.  Wednesday.....1 Chronicles 9 - 11.  Thursday....1 Chronicles 12 - 14.  Friday.......1 Chronicles 15 - 17.

Have a terrific day everyone!  Today is another precious gift from God and He is so Good!

Question.......When was the last time you had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich??

Good Monday morning!!  It is May already!  May is also Melanoma Cancer Awareness month.  This is the time each year where I get on my soapbox and tell you all how very important it is to wear sunscreen while you are out in the sun and to also wear a hat.  It is just as equally important to get your whole body checked regularly with a dermatologist to make sure you don't have any type of pre-cancerous or cancerous spots.  Just because no one in your family has ever had it, or that you have a certain skin type, doesn't mean that you can't get it.  So please.....I beg you.....go and get checked and wear sunscreen protection.  I do not wish on anyone ever to have to go through what I have been through in the last 3 years.  I love you all!

Also if you could keep in your prayers a cure for this cancer.  It is an ugly one that is hard to get rid of.  The scientists are making great strides with this type of cancer and they seem very close to a cure.  Lots of latest new drugs have been approved by the FDA that seem to be helping a lot.  I pray that the Cyber Knife that I will be going through this week will be it for me and that all the cancer cells will be gone.  I am praying for God to totally heal me of this.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for your faithful prayers too.

I am so thankful to my family and friends who have helped me above and beyond the call of duty during these last 3 years.  What a journey it has been.  But here you still are, helping me to fight.  Thank you very much.  I have been blessed beyond measure and the blessings from God just seem to keep flowing.  Each day truly is a wonderful gift of which I am so grateful.

We had a great weekend with family.  Our late Easter dinner was a lot of fun and so good.  Everyone in our family sure does know how to cook.  The Easter egg hunt with Tyler went great too.  I will share some pics of it later.

Even though we were in our camper trailer at the beach, Tyler still took his books and read.  He loves books!  This one particular book was given to Tyler by Jenna's kindergarten teacher Mrs. Clary.  She use to read this book to Jenna.  It makes my heart happy!! Thanks Edna!  Tyler also likes The Very Hungry Caterpillar too.

I would like to wish my nephew Scott a very "Happy Birthday" today!!  Have a super fun day Scott!

Prayer requests:  Please pray for a woman named Bec who is starting her radiation and chemotherapy treatments today.  She has a long and ugly road ahead of her.  Please pray for strength both physically and mentally to get through this next 7 weeks.  Also for her husband Mario too.

2 Thessalonians 2 verse 16:  May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting comfort and hope which we don't deserve, comfort your hearts with all comfort, and help you in every good thing you say and do.

Read the bible in a year: Today......1 Chronicles 6.  Tuesday......1 Chronicles 7 - 8.

Have a marvelous day everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Question......Since we are all outside more now that the weather is nice, will you promise to wear your sunscreen regularly?  Okay....I am off my soapbox now. ;)
