Good morning!  Wow.....Mike and I slept in this morning!  Yes, sleeping to almost 8:00 is really sleeping in for us.  Yesterday I rested all day long.......really didn't do anything until it was time to go to the movies.  We had a great time and the Transformers 2 movie was good.  I wouldn't reccommend taking young children to see it but that is just my opinion.  Be warned before you see it....it is 2 1/2 hours long.  The part of the evening I liked the most was hanging out and visiting all the people from Pioneers Hospital.  They are awesome and the PMH Women's Auxillary did a great job with the food and evening!  Very fun!

I want to wish my sweet mother-in-law Jodi Gilbert a very "Happy Birthday" today!  Have a lot of fun today and let Pops pamper you all day long!

Thanks everyone for praying for me and my blood levels!  I appreciate it!

Tonight my daughter Jenna is having a girls night out party so I am really looking forward to that.  Other then heading to Wal-Mart today I will continue to rest until tonight.

Good morning!  How is everyone today?  A little damper was put on my joy yesterday.  I went in for my blood work and my levels are all rock bottom again.  My platelets did fall again but the Dr. did not want to do a transfusion at this time.  I have to go in next Monday and have my blood work done again but if my levels do not improve by then there will be no starting chemo next week.  I was bummed.  I was really wanting to get started and get it done.  I know that God is in control of the situation.  So my huge prayer request is that my levels will improve immensely before next Monday.  Now I know why I am tired and my bones and muscles ache.  Even when you are not taking the chemo it is still there as if you were on it. 

Last night I went to a Youth For Christ fundraiser at Carrino's.  The food was delicious and it was great seeing and visiting with so many friends.  It was really great seeing you last night Vince and Mandy Brooke!!  The evening turned out well and everyone had a great time and $$ was raised.Thanks to all the staff and board members that worked hard to make it great.

For those of you that read this that are not from here......the summer has  hit here in the Imperial Valley.  Yikes.....it is HOT!  I can't complain too much.....The first part of June here was really nice.  But summer is definitely here to stay now.

What is the weather like where you live?  What's for dinner tonight?  We are going to a Pioneers Hospital (where Mike and Jenna work) movie night at the theater to see the new Transformers movie so it will be pizza, salad, popcorn, sodas and goodies for me tonight!

Good happy beautiful morning!!!!!  You know, I think I had a smile on my face all night long while I was sleeping.  The happiness and joy I feel I can't describe.  I have thanked God at least 500 times and continue to sing His praises!  For those that might of missed my post yesterday, the Dr. told me that all 11 brain tumors are gone and that there are no new tumors!!  The chemo is working.  Yes I will still be doing the last round of chemo.  Today I go into the hospital to see how my blood work is.  Please pray that my levels are good.  I want to be able to start my chemo next Tuesday and get it done.  I will continue to have MRI brain scans every 3 months.  My next full body PET scan is the end of July.

Yesterday after Terrie and I left the Drs. office she took me to the Hotel Del in Coronado for a beautiful lunch on the beach.  It was a gorgeous sunny day and I loved every minute of it.  We stayed for a long time walking around and did a little shopping.  It was so nice.  Perfect place to celebrate after the good news.  When Terrie came to pick me up in the morning she had brought over some home made soup so I didn't have to cook when I got home.  Thanks Terrie!  For everything!  The soup is delicious!  I had an awesome day!  You totally spoiled me.

Tonight I will be at a fund raiser for Youth For Christ.  It will be at Carrinos.  Yummy Italian food for me tonight!

I will be celebrating this good news for a while and I will be "Happy Dancing" too.  But most of all I want to give the glory and praise and honor and thanks to God.  He has seen me through a lot of stuff this year, holding me tight all of the way.  Thank you my friends and family for your prayers and encouragement.  I can't get through this with out you!  I still need you!!  Just 6 more treatments!  I can do this and will do this!!

UPDATE: WOOOOOHOOOOO!!  GREAT NEWS!!!!

My Doctor said that ALL  11 brain tumors are GONE and there are NO NEW tumors!!!!  I am so happy and praising God for answered prayers and I did the "Happy Dance" in the parking lot when we got out of the Drs. office!!!  I hope you will all "Happy Dance with me!!  Thank you SO VERY MUCH for faithfully praying for me!!  I will tell you more about my day tomorrow.  I had a great day.  Terrie SPOILED me!

Good morning!  How was your weekend??  Mike had a wonderful Father's Day!  We always have a lot of fun when the family gets together.  I will try to post pics later this week.

I am headed out to San Diego this morning with my friend Terrie to see my neurosurgeon for my MRI brain scan results.  I will come back on here later to tell you what the Doc said.  Don't know when I will be home, but as soon as I do I will blog.  Please keep me in your prayers this morning.  I feel real good about it and a real peace still.

Could you also keep the Saasta family in your prayers for comfort?  James passed away yesterday leaving behind a beautiful family.  Thanks so much.
