Good Friday morning!  I have my adorable little grandbaby Tyler with me today.  He got his first tooth this week.  Looks like a second one is coming right next to it.  Looking forward to a day of hugging and kissing him and just playing.

Madeline Willis' retirement party last night was so much fun!  Everyone laughed and some even cried.  It was great seeing so many friends that I hadn't seen in a while.   Everyone that had some sort of role in the program did a nice job.  Terrie Olstowski....thanks for all of your hard work in getting the skit put together.  We all had so much fun doing it.  Denise Roger's.....you were terrific!  Gina Cosio.....loved the song you sang.....just beautiful.  District Office girls.....awesome dinner!  Madeline.....you have been a wonderful boss and friend and I can't thank you enough for all of the support that you gave to me when I was so sick and couldn't work.  May God continue to pour his blessings onto you and Mallory.  I wish you both the best!

Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!  Thank you God for good friends and laughter.

Good Thursday morning!!  We are back from Sedona!!  Mike and I had an awesome time!! We feel so blessed to have been able to have gone.  We hiked on the beautiful red rock hills, hung out at slide rock creek, walked all over the city of Sedona and ate good food.  If you have never been, it is such a beautiful place to visit.  When we got there we were greeted by this.....

and this was the view from our hotel room.  Gorgeous isn't it?  We sat out on our patio every evening to watch the sunset on the mountains.  It was so nice to be able to enjoy and see more of God's hand created beauty of this earth.

Mike and I took about 200 more pictures that we are trying to sort through now.  I will share some of these pictures with you all over the next few days.  The only scary part of the trip was on one of our hikes a snake decided to slither right past us.  Talk about me freaking out.  Mike thought it was cool.  I thought that would be the end of our hiking but it was too beautiful not to.  No more snake sightings the rest of the trip.  Thank goodness!

Thanks Monica for blogging for me while I was gone.  I read all of the comments that were written and you all are just so wonderful!  I missed you and the blog!  While I had such a good time on our little trip, it is so good to be back too.  Of course as soon as we got home yesterday Jenna brought Tyler over to see us and I kissed him a thousand times I missed him so much.  Starting Friday me and my little buddy will be together a lot this summer.  I am going to be watching him while I am out of school.  Can't wait!

Tonight I am attending a retirement party for our school superintendent and dear friend, Madeline Willis.  Looking forward to the fun we will have tonight!  Will tell you about it tomorrow. 

Prayer requests:  Mark-surgery, Linda & Samantha-safe trip to Philly and Samantha to have fun with the kid Jeopardy semi-finals, comfort and peace for the Santos family and all of the families who have recently lost a loved one, and for a friend dealing with child custody issues.

Psalms 128 verse 5:  May the Lord continually bless you with heaven's blessings as well as with human joys.

Today is another gift from God and He is soooo Good!  Thank you God for a time of rest and relaxation.

My question for the day is...... has anyone ever been to the Grand Canyon??  I went when I was young but would love to go and see it again.  Also.....what was the last state you visited?

Good morning everyone!  I last spoke to Leslie on Monday night.  She said that she had "hiked her feet off".  I guess her and Mike hiked all over Sedona and were having a blast.  Go ahead and tease her about not bringing any shoes except flip flops.  I guess that is what you get for living in Imperial Valley and not thinking you need any other type of foot wear.  I thank God that they have this opportunity to be together and enjoy God's creation! 

Thank you for your prayers for my husband, we really appreciate it!  I know there are many needs right now and God calls us to pray for one another.  It is a nice community of people who are praying for each other as a result of Leslie's cancer battle.  The blog has been a blessing for many besides Leslie and our family.  

So, my question of the day is: what is the one thing you look forward to this summer?  I know many of you have the summer off (yes, I am a bit jealous).  I look forward to being with my husband with our first summer as husband and wife (yes, we are still all mushy in love)!   

GOD IS GOOD!  Praise God this day! 

Good morning!  Thank you for joining me in the daily update of Leslie's celebration of life!  I thank God everyday that Leslie gets to post daily...and I hope to see daily post for the next 50 years!  I can't imagine what technology will deliver to us in the next 50 years!  Leslie left a message last night that her and Mike arrived safely in Sedona and she said it is beautiful!  I know her and Mike are going to have a wonderful time!  

I appreciate my opportunity to guest blog so I can thank each of you for your faithful prayers for my sister and our family.  God has honored those prayers!  GOD IS GOOD!

I want to wish good luck to Samantha today!  We are all excited for you!!

I do have a personal prayer requests for my prayer warrior friends.  As many of you know, my husband recently took a leap of faith and moved to San Diego without a job.  Will you please pray that he gets a job soon?  We continue to trust God daily!

Okay, for my question of the day.  What was your first job?  Excluding babysitting, I have only worked at Credit Unions...not too exciting!       

Good Saturday morning!  I am on summer vacation!!  Yippee!!  Mike and I are leaving for Sedona early tomorrow morning so I won't be blogging again until Thursday.  My sister Monica will be my guest blogger while I am gone.  I will be taking a lot of pictures while we are in Sedona and will share them with you when we get back.  Looking forward to some fun R & R with Mike.  Running around like a chicken today trying to get ready to go.

We went to the high school graduation last night and had a good time. Who would of thought that it would of been so windy and COLD in the middle of June?  We were wrapping blankets around ourselves in the stands.  Wanted to give a shout out to my niece Kayanna Gilbert, Trisha Middleton, Alyson Dale, Alyssa Brinkman, Danielle Fimbres, Belen Fimbres, Samantha Ross and Sierra Van Leuween.  You all looked beautiful last night!  Here is a couple of the many pics I took the last two nights. One is of my nephew Cyrus and Mike's brother Greg on Thursday night and then Kayanna and Jenna last night.
