My Child.....I am your provider and I meet all your needs. (Matthew 6: 31 & 33 says....(Jesus is talking) "So don't worry at all about having enough food and clothing. Your heavenly Father already knows perfectly well that you need them, and he will give them to you if you give him first place in your life and live as he wants you to.)----God's Love Letter Good Thursday morning!! Yaaaaaay!!! Last day of school for the kids! Tomorrow is the last day of school for the staff! I am ready! Okay, so I have to tell you all about yesterday at school. The 4th graders have been working hard on a musical performance for the school and their parents. I went to the show that they had yesterday and I was totally blown away by their performance. They were so, so, so good......they were in costumes and everything. Before each song they sang, a student would get up and tell a little history about the song, artist, writer etc...So right before they perfomed the last song, my sweet Taylor Aguilera (who makes the beautiful bracelets) stood up at the microphone and started to tell about the song "We Are The World." You all know that song....very famous.....performed by a group of the best singers in the music industry......go on You tube if you don't remember. Well after she told the history she went on to dedicate this song to some special people who have survived and still are surviving with hard things daily and that if they heard their name to stand up. The first name out of her mouth???? Mrs. Gilbert. She then went on to mention other cancer survivors, a student that had Kawasaki's disease and even one of the 4th grade teachers (Mrs. Cosio) who has MS. Well of course I was crying from the start and didn't stop until the song was done. I was COMPLETELY surprised and so touched by it all. I was crying and so happy at the same time at how beautifully they did, my brain didn't know how to react. I know that I am not doing this story justice and that you had to be there. I am sure that the 4th grade teachers or Taylor can tell you all much better about what she said. It really meant a lot. So thank you all! Thank you to the 4th grade teachers at our school who worked hard with the kids to put this on....Mrs. Cosio, Mrs. Bonillas, Mrs. Brinnon and Mr. Acosta. I know the kids will always remember this day. I know that I will. Here is the picture of Ty showing me his new Elmo pajamas.
Prayer requests: As school is letting out for all the children for the summer, let's pray for God's blessings on the children. Pray they have a safe and fun summer with their families and all the activities they will be participating in. I pray they have a wonderful vacation. Even though it is the last day of school and I am ready, I will miss the kids a lot. Matthew 6 verse 34: So don't be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time. Read the bible in a year: Today......Job 29 - 31. Friday.....Job 32 - 34. Have a super day everyone! Today is another awesome gift from God and He is so Good!! Thank you God for sweet miracles! Question.........Where did you attend elementary school as a kid? I attended school in Tujunga, California through the 5th grade. Then moved to El Centro and attended McCabe. Mike attended Imperial schools from K - 12. |
