Good morning!  Yeah it is Friday!  My port area is feeling so much better today.  Not quite as sore as it was yesterday.  I still have big time swelling in my body.  Hoping the medicine to help that will kick in soon.  I feel absolutely fine....just swollen.

We are really starting to get excited about our trip.  I will be running around this weekend to get last minute things and start to pack next week.  I already found a sunscreen that is SPF 85!  Yep....Neutrogena has one that high.  So between that and hats I am good to go.

I want to take the time to thank my friends and family for going above and beyond for me these past 6 months and who continue to.  Thanks for all the visits, notes, cards, comments on this blog, phone calls, food, books, gifts, flowers, movies, support, encouragement and especially PRAYERS!  Wow......when I think about it all it completely overwhelms me how generous everyone has been to my family.  God has so blessed my family and never left our side.  He was our source of strength....our rock.  You....our friends and family.....we love so much.  Don't ever forget that.  When we needed you the most....you were all there.  THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

Have a great day!  What are you up to today?  God is Good!  (I need a shirt that says that)

Question of the day.......Do you have any allergies to food?  No.....none....I can eat it all! :)

Good morning!  I am still sore today from having the port removed.  I had planned to go to San Diego for the day today but guess what?  I get to go and see another Dr. today instead.  For some reason my body has decided that it wanted to swell  up like a balloon.  I feel fine but something is going on so I am off to see the Dr. sometime today to get that fixed.  Will you pray for me that this is nothing and that it will all get taken care of today?  I will let you know what's up when I find out.

I want to thank the El Centro Vons where my son Jeff works part-time for the huge support you have been to my son.  Everyday he worked someone was letting him know that they were praying for me and keeping him encouraged.  I appreciate that so much.

Thanks Ginna for the fun afternoon yesterday!  I also did some more celebrating last night and I wanted to thank Kim Phillips for sending the yummy chocolate dessert our way!  It was a nice surprise and between all of us at the table it was gone in about 2 seconds.  Still happy dancing here and smiling BIG and thanking our awesome God!  He is so Good!

Question of the day......Are you right or left handed?  I am right handed.

****UPDATE****I went to the Dr. and they ran a bunch of tests that we are waiting the results from.  In the meantime I am taking something that will help get rid of the excess water that my body is hanging on to.  The Doc said it could be a 100 different things including left over effects from my chemo.  Hopefully it will take care of itself in a few days.  Thanks for praying!

Good morning!  Well I am off this morning to have my port removed at 9:15.  Will post an update later this morning on here on how it all went.  Thanks for praying!

I want to also thank my chemo angels Linda from Pennsylvannia and Rose Marie from Texas.  They have been truly "Angels" to me.  The support they gave me through out this whole journey was amazing.  Linda and I have especially gotten close and will forever be life long friends.  It is because of them that I will be a chemo angel to someone when I am back to 100%.  It is an awesome program and I am glad that I was able to be a part of it.  Hugs to you both!

A big thanks also needs to go out to the Pioneers Memorial Hospital family.  They have been nothing but supportive and encouraging to Mike and our family.  They were always there to cheer me on.  Mike and my daughter Jenna could not work with a better group of people then them.  Thank you so very much!

God is so good!  Be back later.........

*****UPDATE****** My port is out!  YEAH!!!!  I am sore but so happy to have it out.  Thanks Dr. Hahm.  You are so sweet!  Thanks everyone for praying.

***Also....I am such a dork.  I forgot to wish my sweet nephew Chris a very Happy Birthday today!  And Happy Anniversary to my sweet daughter Jenna and son-in-law Ryan!!  I love you all so much!!

Good morning!  I want you to know that each day is getting better and I am feeling stronger.  I am still not there yet but I know I will be soon.  I don't know if you all know yet but my family and extended family are all leaving for a cruise to the Caribbean on July 18th.  It is a trip that we have planned and looked forward to for a year now.  I am so happy to be going cancer free!  It was something positive to look forward to at the end of this hard journey and we are all very excited.  I hired a couple of my son Jeff''s friends to house sit while we are gone.  We are very busy and excited getting  ready for the trip.  I will tell you all about it when we get back on the 28th.

I want to take the time here to give a huge shout out to my co-workers who are my dear friends from the Imperial Unified School District and Waggoner School.  They have been such an incredible support to me and my family every single day of these past 6 months and I just want to thank you all for the tremendous love and encourgement and prayers you gave to us!  We thank you for the tremendous generosity that you showered on me and my family.  We will always be grateful to you

Amy Bo.........I ALWAYS have the angel hope with me.  If you don't mind I would like to keep her for a little longer too.  Thank you for giving her to me.  I will never forget that day you gave her to me and what you said.  Thanks Amy!  It meant a lot!

Thank you to Mickey and Peggy Dale for all the fun last night.  I want you two to know how special you are to Mike and I.  We cherish our friendship with you.

Tomorrow I go in to have my port removed.  When I get home I will update you on how that went.  Thanks for praying!  God is Good!!

Question of the day........Did you wear braces on your teeth as a kid?  Yes I did.

Good Monday morning!  How was your weekend?  Yesterday at church they made a big announcement about me being cancer free and everyone clapped and cheered for me.  My church family has prayed and prayed for me and I can't thank them enough!  They are such a huge support to our family and we treasure each and every one of them.  We don't know what we would do without them.  Thanks First Christian Church......we love you!

Also I want to say what a hero my sister Monica is to me.  Her love and generosity and support is like none I have seen.  She has been one of my biggest cheerleaders throughout this whole journey.  She has seen the good, the bad and the ugly and has stuck by my side and spoiled me to death.  I couldn't begin to tell you of all the things she has done and continues to do but I sure am thankful that God blessed me with the best sister a girl could have.  I love you tons Monica!

My brother Donald and sister-in-law Noni are also heros to me.  I can't thank them enough for what all they have done and continue to do for me.  I am so blessed by them.  I love you both tons too!

I have so many people to thank for their love and unending support and prayers.  You will never know how grateful I am.  God is so Good!

I also wanted to let you know that I have an appointment to have my port removed on Wednesday and I could use your prayers for that.  Thanks!  I'll keep you updated.

Have a great day!  Question of the day......Chocolate or Vanilla?  Chocolate for me!
