Isn't Tokyo pretty?  I have a few more pics that I want to share with you again tomorrow.

In case you didn't read yesterday's post I am good to go tomorrow with my chemo.  My appointment is at 10:15.  We also have scheduled my full body PET scan for July 28th.  I haven't really been feeling too good the last couple of days.  I think it is my body just trying to get adjusted back to being on the chemo.  My prayer request would be for strength and that the side effect issues won't get any worse.  Also for a great PET scan at the end of this month.

I wanted to say congrats to Aaron Bonilla's for being Athlete of the Week in the Imperial Valley Press.  What a great picture!  He is also a great kid!  Good luck in your tournament Aaron B.!!!!!!!

Have an awesome day everyone!  Today is another gift and God is so good!!!

What sports did you play as a kid or in High School???

Overlooking Tokyo

Jeff said that Tokyo is a very clean city and the air always smells like fresh flowers.  It is so green and lush there with some beautiful beaches.   I will share more pics tomorrow.

Today I go to the hospital for my bloodwork to see how my levels are doing.  I will report back on here this afternoon with an update.  My next chemo appointment isn't until Thursday.  Please pray that the levels look really good.  I am so anxious to get these treatments finished.

Thank you Alexa Olstowski Willis for sending me the adorable pics for your mom of the beautiful granddaughters 1st birthday party.  They are so adorable!  Terrie O.....glad you are having such a blast in Texas with your girls.

Thank you for all of the prayer requests that I received yesterday.  I will be praying!

Have a beautiful day!  Today is another gift and God is so Good!!

6 Months Pregnant
Good morning!!  Here is the picture of Jenna that I said I would post today.  She is now at 24 weeks and doing great!  Isn't she cute?  In case some of you didn't know yet she is having a boy.  We are all so over the top excited about it too!  Oh I can't begin to tell you how much joy it gives to me during all of the stuff that I have to go through.

I am sorting through a ton of beautiful pictures from Japan that Monica and Jeff brought back.  Will start posting those tomorrow.  The stories about their trip from both of them have been awesome.

We all had a blast at the water park in Palm Springs, but it was HOT!!!  I took  a disposable under water camera with me but it takes a week for them to send out and get those pics processed.  While the rest of the family rode all of the slides, Jenna and I had a great time floating in the lazy river and sitting in the wave pool.

I am feeling like I always do when I start chemo.....not that great.  I rested all day yesterday and plan on doing that again today.  I go into the hospital tomorrow for some more bloodwork to check on my levels.  Please pray they stay up enough to finish my treatments.

Aunt Edith:  Thanks for telling me about the prayer-a-thon in Japan.  That is so cool and I am so grateful that people who don't know me from another country are praying for me.  That is just so awesome!  How is Cathie from Australia doing?  I'm still praying for her.

Anyone that has a prayer request please let me know and I will start praying.  My e-mail is leslie@mgilbert.net

I hope you all had a great weekend.  What did you do?  Have a wonderful day!  Today is another gift and God is so Good!!!

So tell me.......what are some of your favorite smells???  Just a few of mine are christmas trees, cinnamon, fresh baked cookies out of the oven, coffee, bacon cooking, lots of flowers, the ocean etc...........

Good Morning!!  I am up very early this morning.  Must be the little bit of steroid they put in my IV yesterday.  It was an interesting day for me emotionally.  I woke up with the attitude of lets get there and get this done.  I am ready!  But as we pulled into the parking lot, I got out of the car and it hit me........I really don't want to do this again.  Seriously, I know what this means for the next six weeks and how my body is going to feel.  I was starting to cry, but I threw a quick prayer up to God and went in.  As soon as I went in there I was greeted by my two chemo nurses Tressa and Jane with BIG HUGS for me and smiling big and so happy to see me again.  They asked about my 4th of July, told me about theirs.  I felt like those hugs were from God.....he was just using the nurses to give them to me. I was comforted.  I felt right at home and my fears were all gone.  It is such a positive place to be in.  My Dr. even came by and said that my brain looks great!  It was because of you all keeping me lifted in prayer that I was able to do it.   Mike was also my rock while I was there.  Everything went great!  My body is just telling me "Oh no.....not this again!"  But........................I only have 5 more to go!!!  There will be a celebration when this is all done!  God willing my full body PET scan that I will be doing at the end of the month will all be clean too.  Will be celebrating then too!

My prayer request are that my levels will stay up and continue to go up so I can finish the treatments and for strength.  That the results of my PET scan will be awesome.

My son and sister fly into San Diego this afternoon!!  WoooHooo!  I am so ready for them to be home.  I won't see Jeff until later this afternoon.  I know they had a great time in Tokyo.  I am so excited to see pictures.  I will share as soon as I get some.  They are all on my sister's camera.

Also, lots of you have wanted to see a side shot of Jenna's belly.  Well on Sunday she will be 24 weeks and I take photos of her every 4 weeks so I will take one and post it next week.

Today is a lazy day for me.  I am resting up so I can go to the water park in Palm Springs tomorrow.  Looking forward to that!

Mac, Patty, Keenan and Ella......Thank you so much!!!  Wow!!!!  I was so totally surprised!!  You are so sneaky Patty!  Oh you guys......I appreciate it and you so much!  It works really good to.  The whole family is enjoying it!

Have an awesome day everyone!!  Today is another gift and God is so Good!!

What's for dinner tonight??
