UPDATE:  We are home and Leslie did great.  Thank you for praying for her.  She is resting now and will be on here again tomorrow.  God is good.

Good morning!!

I want to wish my beautiful daughter Jenna and my handsome son-in-law Ryan a very "Happy Anniversary"!!  Today is their 4th.  Wow.....has time passed by quickly! They are so in love!   I pray that God's blessings will keep pouring out to you..  Always remember to keep God the center of your lives.

I would also like to wish my sweet nephew Chris a very "Happy Birthday" today!!  Have a great day Chris with lots of fun!!

Well Mike and I are off to San Diego in a little while for #1 out of 6 chemo treatments.  Thanks for all of the phone calls and e-mails yesterday of support and encouragement to me for this last round.  Thank you for praying!!  i sure need it.  We will update later to let you know how it all went today.

Please keep my friend Bill Cartwright in your prayers.  I believe he is having a PET scan today.

Good morning!!    In case you didn't see yesterdays post, I am starting back on my chemo this Thursday!  Never thought I'd be this excited about it.  Never!  But I only have 6 more treatments to go and then I am done!  So ready for that.  While I am excited to be getting the treatments again,  with that,  the nasty side effects start.  They start the minute the chemo goes into my veins.  Not looking forward to that at all.  Could you please be praying about the side effects for me?  For them to not be so bad and that I can endure them again another round?

I am so thankful that we have such great treatments to help me fight this battle.  I am so thankful for a Dr. who is so very caring and knowledgeable and keeps up to date with all of the latest cancer stuff.  I am so thankful to my friends and family for your support, encouragement, strength, love and prayers.  I am so thankful for a loving God who cares about me so much!

Guess what I did yesterday?  I bought my first Christmas present!!  Ha!  No....I wasn't out looking to buy, but I saw something that was perfect for someone and it was on sale so I said, "I'd better get it now because it is the perfect present for them!"  I know.....Christmas????.......but yeah I like to start early if I can. 

Well Mike is off today so he and I will be starting to get things ready for a big family and friends water park trip this weekend in Palm Springs.  You will find my very pregnant daughter and I floating on the lazy river all day or in the wave pool.  No slides for us.  But will take some great pictures of the others coming off the slides.

Drs. office just called......I will be starting my chemo this Thursday.  My appointment is at 10:30.  Dr. McClay is reducing the strength of the chemo to get me finished.  I am so glad. I am ready to get this all done and over

with.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for praying!!!! God is Good!!              

NEWER UPDATE!!!

My Drs. office called last night and they are considering going ahead with the chemo anyways and just reduce the strength of the chemo.  I won't know until sometime this morning if it is a go or not.  Would you please take a moment right now to pray about this for me?  As much as I want to start back on the chemo I want to make sure that once I start that I will be able to finish.  They said that they will work with me more on the anemia problem.  They said the thing they really have to consider before it is  a go is that my platelets are at 90 instead of 100.  We will see.  I will update you all today when I get the call.  Thanks for your prayers!

I got a very brief e-mail from my sister yesterday that said everything was fine and that they were having a good time in Tokyo.  They will be home Friday evening!  I can't wait.  I am ready to see the pictures and hear all the stories about their trip.

If you haven't seen the movie "UP" yet you should.  It was a really good movie!  Super cute!

Good morning!!  How was your weekend?  We had a great weekend!  I took a bunch of pictures and here are a few.  This one is of Mike and I, Jenna and Ryan just now finding our seats and sitting down at the Padre-Dodger game.  The weather was beautiful!

Here we are with the hot dogs I told you that we had to have.  They were so good!  The Padres won the game too.

This is me and my sweet friend Christina Lyon Adamek.  It was so funny because we had both hoped to see each other at the game and neither of us knew that my son-in-law Ryan had bought us both  our tickets and we were seated in the same area.  Ha!  It was so great to see you Christina.  I too wish that we could of visited more.

After that we watched fireworks and had a great time just being with friends and family.  Such a fun day and I felt pretty good too.   Sunday was church and then lazy fun in the afternoon.

This morning is when I will be going into the hospital for some more blood work to see if my levels are high enough to start my chemo treatments tomorrow.  Please keep praying about that.  I will come back on here this afternoon and give you an update on the results.  Your encouragement over the last couple of weeks has been awesome.  I so very much appreciate it too.

So tell me........what was the best part of your weekend???

Well my levels are still not good enough yet to do chemo, so I have to wait another week.  Big bummer.  My white blood cells improved and so did the platelets.  My red blood cells and my hemoglobin levels went down again.  I know this is in all of God's plan and his perfect timing.  You just won't believe how ready I am to get these treatments done and over with.  Thank you all so much for continually keeping me in your prayers about all of this.  Please keep praying.  I am hoping they will be good enough for next week.  Love you!
