8:00pm UDDATE
We got a chance to talk to the docs today after they had reviewed her scans and lab work. Looks like Leslie does have some gallstones that are most likely the cause of the pancreatitis. This does not seem to be related to her cancer but may well be related to her treatment - gallstones are common after chemotherapy. If the gallbladder is not removed this will probably happen again but they can't remove her gall bladder until her pancrease settles down. Leslie is going to push to have the surgery done as soon as possible, maybe as early as Tuesday. Leslie is still have quite a bit of discomfort and nausea which is normal for pancreatitis, thank you for your prayers and please continue to pray for healing and comfort. I will blog a little later in the morning tomorrow after I have seen Leslie and give you an update.
God is good, Mike
Hey - That's not part of the plan!!!
Last night was the Goobermiester's first sleepover at Nani & Poppi's. Leslie got him put to bed in the evening and everthing was going according to scheduile. Then, about 9:30, Leslie developed severe abdominal pain. After about half an hour, we decided it wasn't going away so we headed in to the ER. They gave her some Demerol, drew some blood, and did an Ultrasound & CT Scan. About 3am they decided to keep her in the ICU with a possible diagnosis of pancreatitis! Best case scenerio is that they will keep her 24 hours in ICU, move her upstairs, then send her home on Tuesday. They found some stones in her gallbladder and her pancrease enzymes are high but the CT looks good. Please pray that Leslie recovers quickly without any comlications and that she is able to rest well in the hospital. When Jenna and Ryan find out that their precious Tyler is home alone with Poppi I'm sure that will drive home at breakneck speed to rescue him, pray for their safety :) Thank you, Leslie sends her love.
