8:00pm UDDATE

We got a chance to talk to the docs today after they had reviewed her scans and lab work.  Looks like Leslie does have some gallstones that are most likely the cause of the pancreatitis.  This does not seem to be related to her cancer but may well be related to her treatment - gallstones are common after chemotherapy.  If the gallbladder is not removed this will probably happen again but they can't remove her gall bladder until her pancrease settles down.  Leslie is going to push to have the surgery done as soon as possible, maybe as early as Tuesday.  Leslie is still have quite a bit of discomfort and nausea which is normal for pancreatitis, thank you for your prayers and please continue to pray for healing and comfort.  I will blog a little later in the morning tomorrow after I have seen Leslie and give you an update.

God is good,

Mike

Hey - That's not part of the plan!!!

Last night was the Goobermiester's first sleepover at Nani & Poppi's.  Leslie got him put to bed in the evening and everthing was going according to scheduile.  Then, about 9:30, Leslie developed severe abdominal pain.  After about half an hour, we decided it wasn't going away so we headed in to the ER.   They gave her some Demerol, drew some blood, and did an Ultrasound & CT Scan.  About 3am they decided to keep her in the ICU with a possible diagnosis of pancreatitis!  Best case scenerio is that they will keep her 24 hours in ICU, move her upstairs, then send her home on Tuesday.  They found some stones in her gallbladder and her pancrease enzymes are high but the CT looks good.

Please pray that Leslie recovers quickly without any comlications and that she is able to rest well in the hospital.  When Jenna and Ryan find out that their precious Tyler is home alone with Poppi I'm sure that will drive home at breakneck speed to rescue him, pray for their safety  :)

Thank you, Leslie sends her love.  God is Good!

Good Saturday morning!  Are you all enjoying your summer?  Have you been on any vacations?  Eaten watermelon or popsicles?  Barbequed on the grill?  Walked along the beach, gone to a waterpark or went swimming?  Or even run through a sprinkler?  Planted a summer garden?  Gone fishing?  Flew a kite?  Gone on a picnic?  Made homemade ice cream?  Gone hiking or camping?  Been to see a movie?  Read a good book?  Been on a boat ride?   Hung out with friends and family and laughed?  Gone to the zoo?  Layed on a hammock?  Chased butterflies or lightening bugs?  Had a pillow fight?  Went outside to look at the stars?  Played board games?  Went to an amusement park?   Made mud pies?  Been to a ball game?  Taken pictures?  Made cookies or cobbler?  Blow bubbles with the kids?  Take a bubble bath?  Oh I hope that you do at least one of these things.  Take pictures!  Share your adventures with us.  We have done several of these things and hope to do more.  Enjoy your summer and have fun with your family and friends.

Mike and I have our little buddy for the weekend.  We have nothing else planned other then playing and making memories with Tyler.  If you don't live in the Imperial Valley, it is SOOO HOT  and ugly outside.  So we are staying in the house most of the time too.  What are your weekend plans?  How is your weather?

Here is  another pic of Tyler that Jenna and Ryan had taken of him.  It is his July 4th picture.

Good Friday morning!  Woohoo....I am looking forward to the weekend.  Ryan and Jenna were suppose to go on their first overnight away from Tyler trip last weekend to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary.  Well I got sick and so did Jenna and so it did not happen.  Thankfully Ryan was able to change their reservations to this weekend so guess who is going to spend the weekend with his Nanie and Poppi?  BIG smile here!  Oh I know Jen and Ry are going to miss the little guy a lot but both have no worries going, because they know he is in good hands.

Guess what I did this week?  Yep.....bought my first Christmas gift!  I just happen to be at the right place at the right time and knew it would be a perfect gift.  Guess it is my way of celebrating Christmas in July!  :)  Anyone who knows me knows that I like to be done by Thanksgiving anyways.  But I am in no hurry for Christmas to get here.  I am enjoying the summer very much.

Hey Gaynell I....been meaning to tell you that the book you gave me when Jenna was pregnant about things to do with infants?  I am loving it and it has great ideas!

Here is my Tyler pic for the day.  You can see his one tooth really good.  He finally cut his second tooth a couple of days ago.

1 Peter 3 verse 4:  Be beautiful inside, in your hearts, with the lasting charm of a gentle and quiet spirit which is so precious to God.

Prayer requests:  For those that are hurting over the loss of a loved one.  Pray for their peace and comfort and that they will feel God's loving arms wrapped around them with so much love.

Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!  Make each day count.

Question.....last dessert you made???  I made a chocolate cake yesterday.

Good Thursday morning!  I want to thank you all for your prayers yesterday.  Everything went smooth at Hoag.  I am very happy that I have only one more time to go and then I am done!  August will definitely be a busy month medical wise.  EVERYTHING is due at once.  MRI brain scan, full body PET scan, see my neurosurgeon, see my oncologist and two days at Hoag.  I am hoping to get all of this done before I have to be back to work.  I am blessed to have the time off this summer to get it all done.

Thank you Monica and Gregg for everything!  We felt like we ate like kings the whole time we were there.  You're an awesome cook Gregg.  Thanks for my crepe pan.  Can't wait to start using it!

I missed having my Tyler yesterday but he is back with me again today.  Poppi Mike has the day off again too so we both get to play with him.  We like to take him swimming in his little pool that we put in the shade on our deck.  He loves the water.  Here is another one of my favorite pictures that he took recently.

Been doing some scrapbooking lately.  I have actually got quite a bit done.  I am mostly working on pictures of Tyler but am doing other projects as well.  I am having so much fun with it.  We need to get a group of girls together again and scrap!  So relaxing and fun!

James 1 verse 17:  But whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God, the Creator of all light, and he shines forever without change or shadow.

Prayer requests:  A dear friend of mine's grandma is having surgery tomorrow.  Please pray that the surgery will go smoothly and that she has a speedy recovery.  Also for the family for strength.  There are a few people that have also requested prayer for a job.  Please pray that they will be blessed with the right one to come along very soon.  And for a dear friend's mom-in-law who is recovering from pneumonia.  Thanks!

Have a super day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!  Thank you God for awesome opportunities!

What was the last amusement park that you went to?  For my family it was Universal Studios.

Recently Jenna and Ryan went to have family pics taken and of course the photographer took some Tyler pics.  Here is one of my favorites......
