Today is the day that the Lord has made.  Let us rejoice and be glad in it!  Decide that today is going to be a great day!  I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me. 

Good Thursday morning!!  No Tyler today so I am going to do things around the house and run some errands and grab some lunch with a friend. 

Sometimes we can get discouraged when things don't exactly turn out right or as we had planned.  Well God had a plan for our lives the day we were born and it is perfect.  So when feeling out of sorts, try to find a little comfort in knowing....God is in control of each second of our life and He knew what was going to happen and knew how we would handle it too.  While I am not overly thrilled with having the Gamma Knife surgery next week I have learned that through out this whole journey that God has worked everything out for me way, waaaaaaaaayyyy better then I could of ever planned. Way better than I could of ever hoped for. Your prayers are working.  I continue to feel encouraged and no anxiety.  I am ready to get this done and over with.  Next Wednesday is the big day.  Thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement and support.

Prayer requests:  Someone has asked the prayer warriors here if they could pray for them strength to get through a very difficult situation.   Also for comfort for those that are mourning the death of a loved one.  Pray that they feel God's comfort and peace.

Good Wednesday morning!!  I had Tyler with me yesterday and have him again this morning.  I am soaking up all the Nani & Tyler time that I can get.  As I am looking out my front window right now I am seeing a beautiful picture that God has painted for me.  I see orange flowers against my green trees against a beautiful blue sky.  I think it is lovely.....but can you imagine what heaven will look like?? Take time today while you are out and about to notice the beautiful picture that God has made for you to see too.  Yes....even in this HOT desert, there is beauty.

I wanted to mention to you all something that some of my friends are doing for me.  They have gotten together and planned a "Craft Night Extravaganza" on August 6th at T.L. Waggoner school to benefit the upcoming medical expenses that are coming my way soon.  I know there are a lot of people helping with this and I just want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart.  I know it is a lot of work to put something like this on.  I feel so blessed.  If you want more info about it, e-mail me at leslie@mgilbert.net and I will give you the information.  I know you don't have to be crafty to go.  Just come and hang out and have some fun.  It is for kids as well.

Prayer requests:  For someone who is a little down on life right now and could use our prayers for things to get better.  Pray that the thing that is discouraging them right now will resolve itself soon.

Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.

Good Tuesday morning!!  How are you?  How was your 4th celebration?  I had a very nice 3 days.  I am trying to get in all the relaxing fun before I begin my medical stuff  next week.  On Saturday Mike and I met our friends Nick and Teri Sulli in San Diego for the day.  They were visiting from Carson City, Nevada and I have known Teri since the 1st grade.  We had a fabulous day.  Mike and I took them out to one of our favorite places, Cabrillo Point.  We knew that the beaches would be super crowded so this was the next best thing right on the ocean.  We had a chance to sit by the ocean and just visit with them and catch up on life.  We had a great time and the weather was perfect,  sunny and beautiful!  Here is a picture with us all together.

Then on Sunday we headed to the mountains for the day and spent another relaxing beautiful sunny day with family and friends.  We of course had to stop in Julian while we were in the mountains to get some pie.  Yum!  Tyler loved every minute of it.  He played, swam, and got to see some ducks in the lake there.  I will post some pics of his adventures this week. 

Yesterday I played catch up in my house and then we had a BBQ and watched the fireworks show from our front yard.  It was a full eventful few days and I enjoyed each and every minute of it.

Prayer requests:  There are two different requests for some people who are having surgery today.  Pray that the surgeries go very smooth and for a speedy recovery for both.

Good Monday morning!!  I am having an awesome 3 day weekend so far!  I will tell you more about that tomorrow.  Looking forward to an evening with family and friends,  lots of food and a fireworks show.  I will be back to my regular blogging tomorrow.
