Leslie had a rough evening and night last night.  She is still spiking temps to 101 before we can get them down again.  She is feeling lousy, frustrated and weak.  Another call is going out to her onocologist today to see what our next step is.  She has been having fevers now for 6 days. 

Please keep praying for Leslie and that her body will be healed and that she will be able to rest better.  Her cough is improving at least.  I appreciate all of the support.  God is good.  Mike

Happy Sunday!!  I am finally up, showered and dressed in something besides pajamas.  The cough is getting better.  I am still spiking a fever in the mornings and at night but we are able to keep it under control with tylenol.  Just still waiting for the medicine to be out of my system.  I am going to try to get out this afternoon and head to Jenna's for a while.   I am tired of looking at my walls.  I want to have a change of scenery.  We will see how the day goes. 

Mike has been so awesome in taking care of me.  Seemed like I needed more care these last few days then I had in a long time.  Thank you Georgia Payne for filling in for Mike at work so he can stay here to take care of me!  I really appreciate you!  Thanks also to Hugo, Virginia and Debbie (more of Mike's co-workers) for the very sweet card and coming by to visit me while I was in the ER.  You all as well as Vincent, Shashi, Becky and Catalina have been such a tremendous support to our family.  Thanks for all the times you took care of things for Mike while he was taking care of me.

I am so grateful for all the prayers.  Thank you!

Good morming!!  Wow.....this is the first time I even felt like blogging or looking at a computer.  I am so happy to be back on this morning.  The new medicine seems to be working for the reflux.  One more dose today in my system and I hope for the cough to stop completely.  I coughed a whole lot less yesterday which made me feel better.  The pattern with my fevers seem to be to spike one in the morning and another at night.  We have been able to keep it under control with Tylenol and Advil.  That is something that will get better the more the medicine leaves my system.  When my temp is down during the day I feel much better too.

Thank you all so much for lifting me up in prayer.  I was so miserable but I know that all your prayers were getting me through.  I feel like maybe I am on the upswing now.  I'll let you know how today goes.

Thank you all so much for the very sweet and encouraging comments.  Those too got me through my day.  I read them several times.

Please continue to pray that the reflux gets completely under control and that the fevers quit coming.  Also for strength.  I feel like I am the weakest I have been in a long time.

Evening Update: Leslie did much better today.  The new medicine seems to be working.  The fever has stayed down pretty much all day.  Leslie is getting tired of being down and is getting cabin fever already.  Must mean she is feeling better!

Thank you so much for your prayers, keep 'em coming!  Leslie is still spiking temps, 102.5 this morning.  She is still having a whooping type cough and still having the reflux problems.  You can only imagine how she is feeling.  She is starting on a different medicine today for the reflux problem that is suppose to work better.  (Thanks Aunt Edith).  Once we get that under control her cough will improve.  The fever is just going to take time.  Waiting for that drug to get out of her system.

I want you to know how much Leslie appreciates your comments and encouragement on here.  I print them off every few hours for her to read.  Brings a big smile to her face.  Thank you!  Please keep them coming.

Will update you later today if anything changes with Leslie.  Again, thank you for praying.

UPDATE: 2:15pm - We're back from the ER.  They did some more labwork and a chest X-ray, everything (except the red blood count) is good.  That means there is no site of infection so the fever is most likely a reaction to her white cell booster.   They gave her some fluids and a red cell booster but that will take several days to take effect.  In the meantime we'll just keep treating any fever that develops.

Leslie is still not doing so well, she has a 102 temp this morning.  We were supposed to go see Dr McClay this morning if the fevers hadn't gone away but Leslie isn't feeling up to the trip.  We're going to wait until 9:00 am then head in to PMH ER.  They can call Dr McClay and see what he wants done.  Please pray that Les is feeling better and that they find the cause of the fevers.
