BREAKING NEWS - 11:45 AM - Dr McClay is out today so I spoke with the Nurse Practitioner.  There is a good chance this is a reaction to her white cell booster (she got her last one last night)  We had some blood counts and blood cultures done and has started on antibiotics just to be sure, if this doesn't clear up by tomorrow we need to go up to the doctor in San Diego.

Please say a prayer this morning for Leslie.  She had a rough night last night.  With this gastric reflux problem and her horrible coughing spells she has been feeling really weak.  At 10:00 last night she said her head felt like it was on fire and ready to explode.  I took her temp and sure enough she was burning up at 104. She was also having the chills.  We stayed up until we broke the fever and she is running a 100 this morning.  We will be calling the oncologist this morning to let him know what is going on with her.  

Also, Jenna had planned a huge party for her tomorrow night with all of the family and extended family members to celebrate her being cancer free.  Leslie has been looking forward to this for two weeks.  She is determined to get better and go.  We will see.

Good morning!  Now that you have spit out your coffee or cereal and have fallen out of your chair hysterically laughing let me just say that......yes this is me.  In the red dress I was 8 1/2 months pregnant with Jenna in 1984 and in the blue dress I was 8 1/2 months pregnant with Jeff in 1986.  Of course it is also before I went blonde...(did that shortly after I had Jeff) and I was also the queen of big hair in the 80's!  So you think Jenna is big now......well she is still going to get a whole lot bigger.  I carried my two straight out front too. Thought you might like to see what I looked like pregnant.  Aren't the dress styles beautiful too??  Ha!  Okay.....you can stop laughing now.

I went to the ENT Doc yesterday and he thinks I have a terrible case of gastric reflux from the chemo.  My stomach is not only tore up but so is my esphagus too.  He has started me on some meds for two weeks and will see if I get better.  The reflux is causing all of the coughing which is causing my vocal chords to be irritated which is causing me to sound hoarse all the time.  Will you please pray that this is the problem and that I will start getting better soon?  It is wearing me out.

Today is my sister Monica's birthday!!!  Yay!!!  Happy birthday Monica!!!  I know you have had a great birthday so far........have fun today!!!  Eat lots of cake!

Good Monday morning!!  I wanted to start you off with a picture of my beautiful daughter Jenna.  She is 30 weeks now.  Only ten more to go.  She has been feeling great.  She is definitely all belly!

How was your weekend?  Mine was okay.  I am still very tired which is frustrating me a little bit.  I know it takes time but I think I feel more tired now then when I was on chemo.  Just my bodies way of adjusting I know.  I did finally make it to Target and Wal-Mart.  It was good for me to be out and walking around to get me back into shape.  But let me tell you.....I was worn out! :)

I have another prayer request.  I have had this nagging cough now for about 7 weeks.  My oncologist told me it was allgeries and told me what to take but it wasn't working.  So I saw my GP Dr. here and he told me it was allergies too and told me to try out these other two meds.  Two weeks later and no improvement.  So I am off to the Ear, nose and throat specialist this afternoon.  Hopefully he will be able to do something to help.  I start back to work in two weeks and I can't be coughing all day.  Plus my voice is very raspy all the time, almost to the point of laryngitis.  I'll keep you posted on how that goes.

Today is the first day of school here!  Have a great day to all the teachers, staff and children.  The first day of school is always so exciting!  I pray for God's blessings for a great year!

Hey Mick and Peg......I bought my grandson all of his Charger clothes so he is all set when he gets here!!  Go Chargers!

What is the name of one of your favorite teachers?  I had several, but one that sticks out in my mind is Mr. Maddox and Mr. Wright from High School.  I actually had a lot of great teachers.

Good morning!  Ahhhh......the start of the weekend.  Mike and I didn't get quite as much done yesterday like I thought we would.  I am just not quite up to par yet.  We did go and run a few errands.  Still no Costco, Wal-Mart or Target.  I will pick one of those today and make it through.  It is good exercise for me to walk through anyways.

Linda Mayhew........The exercise bike has worked out great!  I am still using it.  When I get back up to my old self and can start power walking again I will call you and return it.  Thanks so much for letting me use it while I was doing my treatments!  It was the perfect thing for me to exercise with these last few months.

Good  morning!!  Yay....it is Friday!!  Is everyone looking forward to the weekend?  Mike has today and the weekend off so I am ready to start getting out and doing a few things.  Of course we will take it slow but I haven't been to places like Costco and Wal-Mart and Target  in what seems like forever.  Mike took over the grocery shopping during this time but I am ready to get back into the game and do it too.  Have a few other errands to run too but have all weekend to get them done.

Yesterday afternoon I had the pleasure of going to the Melissa Michaels Spa and Salon and got totally pampered.  Thanks to Christina Santos and her Family for that!  It  was awesome!!  Thank you so much for the gift.  It was fun!

Today all of the staff at the Imperial Unified School District are back together.  Sure wish that I could be there too.  Have a great day you guys and let me know how your day went.  See you all in a couple of weeks.  Eat a doughnut and have a Starbucks for me this morning!

Just wanted you all to also know that Jenna is doing great.  She is getting big and is so cute.  You couldn't tell from behind that she was pregnant.....she is all belly like her momma was when I was pregnant..  I will take another picture of her soon and post it.  Monday I will be with her again for her ultrasound.  I LOVE those appointments.  I love seeing our little guy moving around and hearing his heart beat.  I love him so much already......can you tell?
