Good morning!  Guess where I am NOT going today????  Woooohoooo......I am not going to San Diego for a treatment!!!  Still hard to wrap my brain around.  Well I started off the day yesterday with a BANG!  I was up and doing all kinds of things around the house and feeling pretty good and then around noon......I crashed and burned.  Yep.....that was it for me for pretty much the rest of the day.  I will pace myself much better today.

Did I tell you all that the Dr. has released me back to work on September 8th?  That gives me a full 3 weeks to recover.  I am so excited!  Can't begin to tell you how much I miss working with a fun staff and being with the kids.  Since school starts for the kids on Monday, I will only miss the first two weeks of school with them.

We are working on a new  design for the Leslie's Celebration of Life.  The one we have now is okay.........but I think we will work on it some more.  I know Kori Wainscott that you are talented in doing that.  Got any ideas???  It is so much like digital scrapbooking, but I don't  know how to do that.

Well I want to wish you all a great day!  Today is another gift and God is so Good!!!!

Do you own a bathrobe?  What color is it?  Mine is red!!

Good morning!!  I woke up this morning with more energy then I have seen in weeks.  Not that I am doing jumping jacks or anything but I am feeling a little better then I did yesterday.  Each day so far I am seeing improvement in my strength and energy.  Yesterday was the first day where I was actually up more then I was down.  I am ready for my old energy to be back!

I loved all of the ideas for a new blog name, but the one that really stood out to me was from Edith.....so I am going to rename it "Leslie's Celebration of Life."  I feel like each day is a gift from God and there is always reasons to celebrate it! Together we will share the many little and big reasons why we celebrate each day.   I also like Susy Davila's title for a book, Leslie's Story of Hope......Freedom From Cancer.  I tweaked it just a little and added Hope.

There is also a project that I want to work on later and I want to call it HOPE.  It will stand for "Helping Other People Endure".  I have lots of ideas for this and a few people that I need to talk to for help with this. Right now though I just need to take things one day at a time.

My family has a very very busy next 4 months ahead of us.  I am excited about it all and can't wait to be strong again to enjoy it all.  I am so thankful to God everyday that He healed me and that I am blessed to be able to share the big events that are coming our way this fall.  More about that at a later time.

I hope you all have a fantabulous day!!  Today is another gift and God is so Good!!

I want everyone to share something good that has happened to you this week.  It could be seeing your kids laugh or having a fun lunch with a friend etc........anything.......big or small!  Come on....tell me.

Good morning!!  How are you?  Yesterday I felt a little better then I did on Sunday.  I had zero energy on Sunday.  Yesterday I was up a lot more and was able to do a few little things around the house.  I pray with each passing day that I get just a little more strength then I did the day before.  It is so wonderful not to be taking chemo pills anymore or worrying about the time I have to take them.  I cannot begin to tell you how freeing that is.  I am still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that I do not have to go to San Diego this week for a treatment.  It is all I have known for so long.  I will still have to see my oncologist every other month for a check up and my next brain scan will be the end of September and the next PET scan the end of November.  I am not thinking about any of that right now.  Just moving forward to get better and stronger.

Thank you so much everyone for all of the encouragement and cheerleading you did with me over the news of being done with chemo.  I already have plans coming up to celebrate, but won't start that until next week.

I love the suggested names for the blog.  Are there any more ideas?  I am hoping to not only keep the blog going with what is going on in my life but in yours too.  There are also a lot of prayer warriors on this blog who would pray for you faithfully if you needed it.  If you have any ideas on the way the direction this blog should go.....let me know.  I am open to anything.  We have all gotten to know each other pretty well through this blog and I think you all want it to stay that way.

I want to wish my dear friend Susy Davila a very "Happy Birthday" today!  Have a fun day!!

Today is another gift and God is so Good!!!

Who was the last person you talked to on the phone?  Mine was my daughter Jenna.

Good morning!!!  Hey everyone!!!  I missed you!!!  Guess what???   NO MORE CHEMO!!!!  Are you all doing the "Happy Dance?"  We sure are here.  This is a picture of me last Thursday right after my chemo treatment with two of my chemo nurses Jane and Karla.  My chemo nurse Tressa was gone on vacation this week.  These ladies are the best!  They presented me with my graduation diploma.  It is by far the best award I have received.  I feel good right after my treatment because I am pumped full of anti-nausea drugs and such.  It usually hits me more the next day.

Mike and I had a very RELAXING and RESTFUL vacation.  The weather was perfect the whole time.  We just love the beach.  So glad we were able to go for a few days.  It was probably the first vacation where we did a whole lot of nothing.  We are usually go, go, go.....but not this time and we loved it!

We are praising God all the time for healing me of cancer and for the many blessings he has poured out to me during this whole journey.  What a great God we have!

Thanks Monica for taking over the blog last week.  Looks like you were all having fun!  Speaking of this blog.....I want to rename it.  I am done with Leslie's Freedom From Cancer.  Now that I am cancer free I want a new name.  Any suggestions??  I am still thinking too.

Well I hope as the week goes along that I start to feel better.  Yesterday was a little rough.  I always have the hardest time after the sixth treatment.  Now that I am stopping all chemo, I should feel a little better each day.  I am so ready to be done with the side effect issues too!  Thanks for keeping me in your prayers.  I still need them through this transition.

I want to wish you all a magnificent Monday!   Today is another gift and God is so Good!!!

What is the last thing you do right before you turn out the light and go to sleep?  Mine is reading.
