Good Wednesday morning!!  Wow.....September 1st already.  The holidays will be fast approaching!  ha ha....I am so not ready to think about that yet!  This year is flying by and I know the next 4 months will be so busy......God willing a good busy.  Keep celebrating each day of life everyone!  Count your blessings and thank God for them!

So Tyler went for his first haircut yesterday.  I will let the pictures help tell the story.  Here is Tyler's "before" picture.  By the way....he had just woke up from a nap and was trying to figure out where he was and what was happening.

At this point he was tired of getting his hair cut and after offering him many things to play with, Jill had to pull out her biggest distraction.....a candy pacifier sucker.  He loved it!  So not only did he get his first haircut yesterday but his first candy too.  (He never has used a pacifier....he never liked them).

Update from yesterday's prayer request.....one of the little girls that is in very critical condition has been declared brain dead and they will probably be taking her off of life support today.  The other sister is still very critical and only time will tell.  The family is so overcome with grief.  Please continue to keep them in your prayers. 

Prayer requests:  Angel Linda's niece to be healed and feel better soon.  Jobs!  There are still some people who are asking for prayer to find a job.  Please keep praying that they find one very soon. For someone who has some new health issues.  That the Dr. figures out what it is and that she receives the right treatment.   And a special request for someone who just wants prayers that life will get better.   Everyone is so thankful for the prayer warriors here!

Numbers 6 verses 25, 25 & 26:  May the Lord bless and protect you; may the Lord's face radiate with joy because of you; may he be gracious to you, show you his favor, and give you his peace.

Okay the question from yesterday had some funny answers.  Jenna.....I knew you would know the correct answer and I wasn't too far off.  I boil mine for 12 minutes.   Denise R....hilarious!, Kori W.....never heard of boiling eggs that way before,  but hey...it saves time and another pan.  My next question is......how often do you use your crockpot?

Good Tuesday morning!  Thank God for such a beautiful day yesterday!  Well Jenna couldn't hold off any longer.....this afternoon Tyler is going to get his very 1st haircut.  We were hoping to make it till his first birthday but his hair is too long and in his eyes so he is getting it cut.  He is going to look like such a big boy after it is cut.  Of course Nani will be there to take some pictures.  I will let you know how it goes.  I still can't believe he is 10 months old.  His 1 year birthday is going to be here before we know it.  Can you believe it?

I am still hearing more stories from their trip and hope that someday the whole family can go.  Tomorrow a couple of pics from Amsterdam, Holland. 

I have a new appointment with my oncologist on September 16th in the afternoon.  PET scan is September 11th.  Thanks for keeping me in your prayers for a clean scan and a good report.  I am so thankful for your support. 

Prayer requests:  For a friend's cousin who was killed in a car crash yesterday.  He had his 4 children with him.  2 are okay and 2 are in critical condition and not expected to live.  HIs wife and his other 2 children that are okay really need our prayers right now.  So if you could stop for a few seconds and throw up a quick prayer right now that would be great.  Thanks everyone.

Philippians 4 verse 8:  Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right.  Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others.  Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.

Good Monday morning!  How was everyone's weekend?  Now that I am back to work the weekends go by so fast.  Loving the cooler weather we are having.  Hope it stays....I am looking forward to fall.   I am also looking forward to the 3 day weekend we have coming too! 

So good to have Jeff and Angela back!  We got together with the family on Saturday afternoon and had lunch while they showed us a slide show of all the pictures they took while in Europe and we heard a lot of their adventureous stories.  It was a trip of a lifetime and I am very happy they got to go. The first country they landed in and visited was France.  Here are a couple of pictures from Paris.

Prayer requests: For someone who is hospitalized with blood clots in his lungs and legs.  That the medication will start to work quickly to dissolve the blood clots and to have no complications in the process.  Also for God's healing for the families who have lost a loved one.  That God will continue to lift them up and bring comfort to them and to feel at peace. 

Isaiah 41 verse 10: Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed.  I am your God.  I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.  verse 13:  I am holding you by your right hand--I, the Lord your God--and I say to you, Don't be afraid; I am here to help you.  (I can't begin to tell you all how many times I have prayed for God to hold my hand and get me through some very difficult and painful periods in the last few years.  I know He did.....I could feel it.  Thank you God!)

Good Saturday morning!!  Wow.....what a storm we had yesterday!  Crazy weather!  Strong winds, rain and hail!  Some hail as big as this.....Hard to believe when our temperatures have been so hot.  The storm blew through quickly and then the sun popped out again like nothing ever happened.

Jeff and Angela are home!!!  We stayed up so late last night just talking about everything.  We are getting together for lunch at Ryan and Jenna's to see all the pictures they took (hundreds) and hear all about their trip.  Just listening to Jeff last night I know it was a trip of a lifetime and they are so glad they went but very happy to be back home too.

Guess who is 10 months old today??  Yep.....our Tyler Michael.  Here is my sweet grandson standing in his crib.

I also forgot to post his 9 month candle picture.  Here it is. Oh he wants that cupcake so bad.  He is trying to figure out how to get it quickly. Poor baby....he will have a big cake to get into in two more months. Have to get a bigger cupcake for his 10 month picture.

Prayer requests:  Several people are having some medical tests done and would like prayer that it all goes well and that they receive good news.  Let's thank God for all the latest medical technology out there now that has helped tons of people to get better.  Please also continue to pray that the scientists find out that the melanoma vaccine I took is the breakthrough they have been looking for towards curing this nasty type of cancer.

John 14 verse 27: "I am leaving you with a gift--peace of mind and heart!  And the peace I give isn't fragile like the peace the world gives.  So don't be troubled or afraid."

So what is everyone else's weather been like?  Cooling off where you live yet?  Or is it still summer heat?  We are getting a break from our heat now.  Still warm but not as bad as this past week.

Good Friday morning!  Yay.......so ready for the weekend!!  I have had a wonderful week at school but am looking forward to sleeping in a little bit tomorrow.  Also Jeff and Angela are coming home tonight!!  Yahoo!! I have missed them so much.  Hoping to get the families together tomorrow to hear all of their stories and see pictures.  I am sure they will both be so jet lagged when they get here and it will take a few days to get back on track.

We had such a fun night last night for my niece Kayanna's and Ryan's sister Trisha's going away to college party. You know me, I always love it when the family gets together.  Here is a picture of the girls.......we are going to miss them a lot. 

 
 Edna, will keep in prayer your grandson Cass and his friend as they are headed to college too.  What a great adventure for all of them!

Here is another thing I read yesterday and want to share with you.  The author said....."I used to wake up in the morning wishing it was night, and at night I wished it was morning;  I was not enjoying my life.  Now I look forward to each day.  God arranged life in twenty-four hour periods; we sleep for a while, and then wake up refreshed to start all over again.  God intended every morning to be a brand new start, a fresh opportunity.  We can go to bed feeling hopeless and worn out, thinking, I just don't believe that I can go on.  But somehow a good night's rest renews us, and we wake up with faith again, thinking, maybe today my breakthrough will come, and I will get an answer; I can make it one more day.  So thank God for mornings."

Prayer requests: Please pray for a family whose teenage child is addicted to drugs.  Pray that they find the best program to help their child and for strength and peace.  They want nothing more than for their child to get better.  They have been having to dish out some tough love lately which has been heart breaking.

Matthew 7 verse 7: Ask, and you will be given what you ask for.  Seek, and you will find.  Knock, and the door will be opened.  For everyone who asks, receives.  Anyone who seeks, finds.  If only you will knock, the door will open.  verse 12a:  Do for others what you want them to do for you.
