Good Thursday morning!  My niece Kayanna and Ryan's sister Trisha are leaving for college tomorrow.  They are going to Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.  We will miss them very much.  So tonight we are having a little send off party for the both of them.  We pray for God's blessings for your future and we know that you girls are going to do great!  Have fun.....but not too much......you still have to study!  ha ha

Jeff and Angela are working their way back to the U.S.A. tomorrow.  Their plane will land in San Diego tomorrow night at around 6:30 p.m.  Our families are very excited for their return.  We are so looking forward to seeing pictures from their trip and hearing all of their amazing stories.  I hope to be posting pics from their trip next week.  Please pray for a smooth and safe return.

I love my Tyler pic for today.  On my last day of summer vacation Tyler and I were looking in my kitchen pantry to see what kind of trouble he and I could get into.  There it was.....a brand new package of colored straws. 120 of them.   I sat him on the floor and let him have at it.  Here he is looking at me thinking....ahhhh thanks Nani....this is fun!  But he didn't want to be bothered taking a picture.....he was busy.   He loved it.  This Nani and Poppi want to make some awesome memories with their grandbaby.....just like Mike and I did with Jenna and Jeff.

 
It was great talking to you last night Angel Linda!  We all keep you in our prayers.  Please keep praying that she can get a big issue resolved very soon.  It was also great talking to you too Mary Jo!!

Prayer requests:  I have a friend whose husband has been having headaches for the last few months and they haven't figured out yet what is causing them.  Please pray that they will find out soon so the Dr. can fix the problem and that he will be relieved of the pain.  Also for another friend who is stressed and worried about finances and circumstances that are going on in her life right now.  That  God will take away her stress, lift the burdens off of her and to give her a sense of peace that passes all understanding. Have you actually seen or been to and toured your state capital?  I did.....when I was in the 8th grade.  It was beautiful.  Hey my 8th grade classmates from McCabe school...... remember that trip we took?

Good Wednesday morning!!  First and foremost I want to wish my baby sister Monica a very "Happy Birthday" today!!!!  Guess how old she is??  ha! ha!  It is a milestone.....yep she has turned the BIG 40!!   You don't look a day past 30!!   :)  Here is Tyler's birthday wish for you!  This is what I was busy with when you called me yesterday.

Things at school are going really well.  But Oh my goodness it is sooooo HOT outside!  I don't know what the weather is like where you live but in the Imperial Valley it is awful.  I think it was around 113 degrees yesterday and what is even worse is that it is so humid.  I hope it starts to cool off soon.  Everyone is ready for a little cooler weather.

I read this in a book yesterday and I wanted to share it with you...... We need to have our mind full of ways to bless people.  Early in the day, think up something you want to do to bless someone.  Think up something you can do to surprise somebody or to make somebody happy.  You will be amazed at how quickly the Lord leads you to something good you could do for someone.  Joy comes from giving on His behalf.  I thought that was so cool and so true!

Prayer requests:  The people who have asked you all for prayers for their depression to get better want me to tell you thanks and to please keep praying for them.  It is a daily struggle and some days are worse then others. 

1 Samuel 12 verse 24:  Trust the Lord and sincerely worship him; think of all the tremendous things he has done for you.

Good Tuesday morning!  Hello everyone!  I think that the first day of school went great!  It was wonderful seeing all the kids again and getting lots of hugs.  Also so nice to be spending time with my co-workers too.  I am sure by the end of the week we will all be exhausted but it is nice getting back into the routine again.  Have I told you all lately how thankful I am to be starting the new school year healthy again??  :)  Here is a first day back to school photo with my friends Randi and Jessica.

 
Well because of miscommunication between the PET scan place and my oncologists office my PET scan for this Saturday has been cancelled and rescheduled for September 11th.  I was very frustrated by this when I first heard because I just would like to get it done and over with.  But again I realize that everything is in God's perfect timing.  My follow up appointment with my oncologist was originally scheduled for September 2nd, which is Jeff's birthday and I really didn't want to be gone on his birthday anyways, so I guess it is all good.  Don't know yet when my new appointmwnt with Dr. McClay is.  Hopefully will know today.  Thank you for praying for me.  Please continue to keep me in your prayers for a clean scan.

Prayer requests:  For my sister-in-law Lori who started her radiation treatments today and will be doing them for the next 5 or 6 weeks.  Also one from a family who has a loved one who has been making some bad decisions lately that is affecting and stressing the whole family.  Pray for guidance, wisdom and peace for the family as they are dealing with this situation.

Phillippians 4 verses 6 & 7:  Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don't forget to thank him for his answers.  If you do this you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind could understand.  His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.

Thank you everyone for reading my blog.  It has meant so much to me to have you all with me for the last couple of years on this journey of my life.  I am so inspired by all of you.  I am looking forward to all of the wonderful things that God has in store for all of us in the future.

Good Monday morning!!  How was your weekend?  We had a nice one.  Today is the first day of school for all of us here in Imperial and I know for a lot of kids in the Imperial Valley.  I know the kids are excited to start and I am sure the parents are even more excited then the kids that they are starting. Nothing like seeing the kids happy in a new outfit, shoes, backpack and lunch pail.   Let's all pray for the kids (and staff) where ever you live,  for God's blessings on them for a great and fun school year! 

Jeff and Angela have been in Switzerland and continue to have an awesome time on their trip. They are now in Rome, Italy.  I really cannot wait to hear their stories and see pictures.  They will be back in the U.S.A. on Friday.  I miss them very much but am so happy that they get to experience this once in a lifetime trip.  Thanks for your prayers for safety for them.

Prayer requests:  Again I am coming to you prayer warriors because we have some families out there right now who need our prayers so badly.  They are going through a lot of extreme hardships right now and are just trying to make it though each day.  They need strength.  Please pray that relief and peace will come to them soon and most of all that they will hold on to hope that things will get better.  Let's pray that God puts the right person in their path today to lift them up and encourage them.

Lamentations 3 verses 21 - 26:  Yet there is one ray of hope: his compassion never ends.  It is only the Lord's mercies that have kept us from complete destruction.  Great is his faithfulness; his lovingkindness begins afresh each day.  My soul claims the Lord as my inheritance; therefore I will hope in him.  The Lord is wonderfully good to those who wait for him, to those who seek for him.  It is good to both hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

Good Saturday morning!  Hope everyone's weekend is off to a great start!  One day of work and I am already loving having the weekend off.  My first day back to work went great. Really happy to see my co-workers again.  I didn't get to see all of them but hope to on Monday.   Looking forward to seeing all the munchkins Monday morning for their first day of school.  I missed my Tyler like crazy yesterday but he is coming to Nani's house today.  Speaking of Tyler.......sorry.... due to circumstances beyond my control.....I don't have a picture of him today......will have one for Monday.  :)

My San Diego Chargers are playing another home pre-season game tonight against the Dallas Cowboys.  I don't really care about the pre-season games so much because they really don't play their star players and the games don't count,  but I say anyways.....GO CHARGERS!!

Prayer requests:  A couple of people have asked for prayer for a speedy recovery from surgery.  Also those that are still in need of finding a job.  That God will provide them one very soon.
