Good Saturday morning!  WoooHooo!!!  Happy dancing here and smiling from ear to ear!!  I am DONE with going to Hoag and my melanoma vaccine shots!!  Thank you so very much for keeping me in your prayers.  My arm reacted quite a bit this time when they did the skin test on Wednesday.  So far so good with the shot from yesterday.  Now the next hurdle is going up to San Diego Monday to see my neurosurgeon and getting the results from my latest brain scan.  I so cherish your prayers that we get nothing but good news.  My next full body PET scan is on August 28th and the results from my oncologist will be on Sept. 2nd.  Praying for great news from that too.

We are also going to be celebrating the fact that on Monday will be 1 year that I have been off the chemo!!!  More happy dancing going on then too!!  Praise God!

Ryan and Jenna ended up not leaving for the beach until this morning, so of course when we got into town last night I got my Tyler fix in.  Nothing is more precious then rocking your grandbaby to sleep.  What an absolute blessing and joy which I am so thanful for!  Did you miss my Tyler pics??  Well here is another one of him in his pool checking out the bubbles that Poppi was blowing at him.  He thought they were great!

I would like to wish a very "Happy Birthday" to my little niece Emily Van Patten!  Have a super fun day!

My San Diego Chargers play their first pre-season game tonight at home against the Chicago Bears.  I don't really care so much for the pre-season stuff but am so happy that the football season has begun!!  The real games start in September. Go CHARGERS!!!!  ALL THE WAY TO THE SUPERBOWL!!!  Amy Bo.....you watching tonight?

Prayer requests:  That Angel Linda's knee will fully heal, strength for family members who are caring for a loved one who is sick or recovering, for those who are in need of much comfort and peace from the loss of a dear loved one and for the safety of my son Jeff and Ryan's sister Angela while they are traveling in Europe.  Prayer requests: leslie@mgilbert.net

Let's continue with the story of Daniel in the lions' den.....Daniel 6 verses 11 - 13:  Then the men thronged to Daniel's house and found him praying there, asking favors of his God.  They rushed back to the king and reminded him about his law.  "Haven't you signed a decree," they said, "that permits no petitions to any God or man--except you--for thirty days?  And anyone disobeying will be thrown to the lions?"  "Yes," the king replied, "it is a law of the Medes and Persians,' that cannot be altered or revoked."  Then they told the king, "That fellow Daniel, one of the Jewish captives, is paying no attention to you or your law.  He is asking favors of his God three times a day."  To be continued.....

Have a spectacular Saturday everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!  See you on Monday!

Question.....how many pillows are on the bed you sleep in?  including the decorative ones?

Happy Friday the 13th!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday.  Leslie and I talked this morning.  She wanted to make sure that Jeff got off to the airport for his trip to Europe.  I know him and Angela are going to have a great time and I am very blessed to have a husband that woke up at 4:30am to take them to the airport!  Please pray for safe travels for both of them and that they are able to enjoy more of God's amazing creation in this world.

Leslie is asking for prayers today for the shot.  She did react to the skin test from Wednesday and thinks this last shot will be difficult.  She may experience quite a bit of joint pain from it.  I know she is looking forward to starting back to school next week so she is praying that the side effects from this last shot are managable.

She also believes that Angelina Jolie should play her in a movie because she is so tough in all of her movies and Leslie wants someone tough like she is.  So I guess I get to keep Sandra Bullock.

God is GOOD!  Thank God today for his mercy and blessings!

Good morning!  Sister Monica here!  Leslie left a message yesterday that everything went well and her and Mike will be hanging out until the follow up appointment tomorrow.  I think they are going to the Orange County fair today.

God is Good!  There are so many blessings in life and so much to be thankful for.  I appreciate all of the faithful bloggers who are prayer warriors.  I am thankful that Leslie has been able to participate in these experimental treatments!  I know God is hearing our prayers!

I do want to ask for prayer for Angel Linda.  She has reinjured her knee.

I am looking forward to reading Leslie's book.  Really, I can't wait to read my part.  I am hoping it turns into a movie so Julie Roberts can play me.  She seems to do a good job at playing real life people.  Or maybe Sandra Bullock...I like her.  I guess since it will be focusing on Leslie, she gets to choose first...but I think those actresses would make a good supporting role.

So who do you think should play Leslie in her movie?

Have a wonderful day and thank God for his Love!

Good Tuesday morning! Praise God for a new day and have a glad heart!  I had a great day with Tyler yesterday and I have my little buddy with me again today.  Since Mike and I take off tonight and I won't be seeing him for a while, I am going to be giving him tons of hugs and kisses today.  Ha, ha.....I do that anyways. :)

Yes, today I have my MRI brain scan at 4:00. (won't know the results to that until next Monday). We will then be headed out of town until Friday evening.  My sister Monica will be blogging for me and keeping you all updated on how things are going.  Thank you ahead of time for keeping me and my family in your prayers.  Please continue to pray that everything goes smooth this week and that all my test results come back great!

Remember this picture of my friend Lisa's grandson Wyatt and Tyler when Wyatt was a newborn and Tyler was 2 months old?

Tyler & Wyatt 1
Now look at the adorable cuties!  Tyler is 9 months old and Wyatt is 7 months old.  They loved each other.  Tyler is sharing his toys with his buddy.  They will begin to spend a lot of time together soon because they will both be at the same babysitter's house.  So cool that they will grow up together.

Prayer requests:  Carl Hinshaw's symptoms have gotten worse in the last few days from his stroke.  Please keep him and the whole Hinshaw/Paramo family in your prayers for healing and strength. They thank you for praying.  Also my brother-in-law Gregg is still looking for a job and I have a few requests for some others that are looking for a job too. Pray that God will lead them to a job soon.

Daniel 6 verses 6 - 10:  They decided to go to the king and say, "King Darius, live forever!  We presidents, governors, counselors and deputies have unanimously decided that you should make a law, irrevocable under any circumstance, that for the next thirty days anyone who asks a favor of God or man--except from you, Your Majesty--shall be thrown to the lions.  Your Majesty, we request this signature on this law; sign it so it cannot be canceled or changed; it will be a 'law of the Medes and Persians' that cannot be revoked."  So King Darius signed the law.  But though Daniel knew about it, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs bedroom, with its windows open toward Jerusalem, and prayed three times a day, just as he always had, giving thanks to his God.  To be continued.....

Have a terrific day everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!

Question...how many clocks do you have in your house, counting the microwave, coffee maker and stove?  I counted and we have 9.  Wow....didn't realize we had so many!

Good Monday morning!  How was your weekend?  Thank you so much for all of the anniversary wishes!  We had a nice and lazy, kicked back day.  It was much needed because this week is going to be crazy, busy.  Tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 I have my MRI brain scan at PMH.  When it is done Mike and I are headed to San Diego because I have to be at Hoag hospital bright and early Wednesday morning.  I also have to be at Hoag on Friday, sooo.....we are just staying up there in Newport Beach Wed. thru Friday.  Will be back home on Friday evening.  Woohoo!!!  This is the last time I have to go for a melanoma shot!!  After Friday I am done!!!  Will be "Happy Dancing" very soon!  Now it is super prayer time that this vaccine works and that I will be one of their success stories.

Now while we are gone my son Jeff will be getting ready to leave Thursday evening for Europe!  I am so excited for him.  He is going with Ryan's sister Angela.  I know they will have a great time.  They will be landing in Paris, France then off to Holland, Germany, Switzerland and Italy.  I am going to miss him so much but am looking forward to all the stories of their adventures and seeing pictures.  Please keep them both in your prayers for a safe trip.  Then as we are coming home Friday, Ryan, Jenna and Tyler will be heading to the beach for the weekend.  I feel like our family is going in all different directions this week.  Then on Monday, August 16th, Mike and I head back up to San Diego to see my neurosurgeon for the results to my brain scan.  Sooo by Tuesday when Tyler comes to stay at Nani's, I will be hugging and kissing him to death!

Here is a picture of Poppi and Tyler reading the Sunday comics together.  Tomorrow I will put up a picture of Tyler and Wyatt's playdate.

My sister Monica will guest blog again for me while I am gone.

Thinking of you today Peggy S.  Remembering Willie on his birthday.  Love you my friend.

Thank you Lori DuBois!  It was absolutely perfect!

Prayer requests:  For the health and strength of my friend Sonia Falkenstein's newborn baby girl, Kendall.  Keep parents Sonia and Phil in your prayers too.

Daniel 6 verses 1-5: Darius divided the kingdom into 120 provinces, each under a governor.  The governors were accountable to three presidents (Daniel was one of them) so that the king could administer the kingdom efficiently.  Daniel soon proved himself more capable than all the other presidents and governors, for he had great ability, and the king began to think of placing him over the entire empire as his administrative officer.  This made the other presidents and governors very jealous, and they began searching for some fault in the way Daniel was handling his affairs so that they could complain to the king about him.  But they couldn't find anything to criticize!  He was faithful and honest, and made no mistakes.  So they concluded, "Our only chance is his religion!"  To be continued....

Have a marvelous day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!

What is on your refrigerator?  My frige has been covered in pictures, a calendar, kids artwork, San Diego Charger football schedule,  notes etc...since Jenna was born.  I will never have a frige free from stuff.  I love it!
