Good Monday morning!!  What a nice morning it is here too.  Finally some cool breezes! I feel much better now after receiving the blood transfusion on Saturday.  I am still spiking a fever once every 24 hours.  Don't know what that is about still, but really think it is getting better.  I have an appointment with a gastroenterologist this afternoon and was fortunate enough to talk to him for a few minutes on Friday and he has already started me on meds to help my reflux problem.  I want to thank my sweet friend  Christina Santos for all of your help with this!  I am so, so , so grateful!!!  I will be getting my blood checked on Thursday to see how my levels look.  I feel like I have the ball rolling in the right direction now.  I feel my strength returning!

Thank you Krissy Hobelman and family for bringing us the delicious homemade soup!  That was so nice of you and came at a perfect time.  It was here waiting for us when we got back home from the hospital on Saturday.

Thank you Patty McDonald and family for the beautiful flowers!!  That was the cutest thing I have seen Patty.  It was a bouquet shaped into a cupcake with a candle in the middle to celebrate me getting better.

Thanks Angel Linda for your sweet words.  That meant a lot.  Right back at you!!

Thank you to everyone for all of the cards, your sweet and funny comments on the blog and encouraging e-mails!  Wow.....that makes my day!  Thank you most of all for the prayers!!  I appreciate them so much!!  My prayer requests now are for continued building of  strength, the reflux problem to heal, my fever to be completely gone and especially that my blood levels look good on Thursday.

Are you ready for some good football???  Oh yeah.......my Chargers are playing their opening game tonight against the Raiders in Oakland.  Go Chargers!!!  All you Charger fans put those jerseys on for tonights game!!  My grandson already has a jersey waiting for him to put on for the first game after he is born!  :)

Today is another gift and God is so Good!!!

Are you a pro football fan???  Who is your team??

Good Sunday morning!!  First of all I want to thank every one of you so very much for lifting me up in prayer yesterday.  It was a loooooooooooooooong day.  There were some delays and so it took way longer then it should have.  I was a little frustrated and I admit I was grouchy.  I had good reason to be but I am letting it go.  I am just glad that it is done and over with.  I do feel better this morning.  They put two units of blood in me.  I pray that this is the booster I needed.  I still need prayer for the levels to continue to go up and that my body starts rejuvenating itself on its own.  I truly felt everyone praying for me yesterday.  I will have my blood checked later this week.

Thanks Peggy Dale for coming down to see me in the ER for a few minutes yesterday.  Peggy's Dad, Pastor Jackson is in Pioneers Hospital right now.  He could really use our prayers for his health to improve and the family needs our prayers for strength.  We had a few great laughs yesterday Peggy and I think God sent you to me at just the right time.  I quit being grouchy when you left.

I am so grateful for the people who take the time to have their blood donated.  Mike and Jeff  and my sister Monica have all done it.  Jenna and I never have because we don't weigh enough.  To all of you out there that have done that......Thank You!!  If any of you are donating in the next few weeks would you be sure to donate it in my name?  I am trying to give back and I know the blood bank is in real need of donations right now.

I would like to wish my friend Margie Wiggins a very "Happy Birthday" today!  Congrats to you Margie on the birth of your new grandson on 9-9-09!!!

I have so many people to thank and I will tomorrow.  You have all been so good to me and my family and it is very appreciated.  The amazing things that I have seen God do in this last week is incredible.

Have a blessed Sunday.  Relax and enjoy your family.  Of course......don't forget FOOTBALL!!!  Oh yeah......I LOVE football.  My San Diego Chargers play their opening game tomorrow night!  Go Chargers!!!

Today is another gift and God is so Good!!!  :)

UPDATE:  I went to the hospital today to have another test run which was negative but I went ahead and did my bloodwork today since I was already there.  My levels have dropped to rock bottom.  Even more then last week.  So my oncologist has ordered a blood transfusion tomorrow morning at the hospital which will take all dayIf it makes me feel better I am so ready to do it.  Please pray for me.  That the time will pass by quickly tomorrow and that everything will go smooth.  I won't be back on to blog until tomorrow afternoon when I get back from the hospital and I will let you know how it went.  Love you all.

Good morning!!!  I slept in!  I kind of had a late night last night.  I was not feeling well about 11:00 last night.  I was having a lot of problems with the gastric reflux.  It finally went away.  I slept cool all night last night and woke up cool this morning.  Let's all pray that this is the day the fever is gone for good!  I am getting my blood drawn on Sunday to check all of my levels and see how they are doing.

Speaking of blood drawing I really need to thank my nurse Mike Pearson.  He has gone way above and beyond the call of duty for me.  He was meant to be a nurse and God has blessed him by being a great one. He looks out for me and takes really good care of me. Thanks Mike for everything you do for me and my family.  We appreciate you so very much!  I have enjoyed the wonderful friendship we have made.

Vicki Rush.....thank you so much!  You made my day!  That meant a lot and I appreciate you!

I will tell a new Lola story tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for your advice on the gastric reflux.  I never knew it could get so bad.  My appointment with the gastroenterologist isn't for another week or so.  Please pray that it will ease up some.

Have a super day!!  Today is another gift and God is so Good!!!!

What size shoe do you wear?  I wear a 6 1/2.  Did your feet get a little bigger when you got pregnant?  Yes.....mine did.  Before babies I was a 5 1/2.  My foot grew a half size with each pregnancy.  Could you imagine if I was Michelle Duggar and had 18 kids???  Ha!

UPDATE:  I made it another 23 hours and then my fever spiked over 100 again.  I can't seem to make it past 23 hours yet.  But I stayed cool most of the day.  Thanks for continually praying.  Hopefully this is the last of it.

Good morning!  The last time I took Tylenol was at 3:00 yesterday afternoon.  I again went to sleep cool and woke up cool.  I am hoping that I can finally get past the 24 hour mark with no meds.  Like I have said before, this is a huge improvement from last week.  I was taking meds every 3-4 hours last week.  Maybe this is just a virus that my body is struggling to let go of.  Could you please pray for my body to gain some strength?  I will again come back on this afternoon with an update.

I also still need prayer for the gastric reflux problem.  I will be seeing a gastroenterologist soon.  Did I tell you what the Dr. who diagnosed this problem said I have to stay away from for a while?  Caffeine, any carbonated soda, spicy foods,  fried foods, citrus foods and chocolate!!  Everything that is so good!!  I am on the bland diet and that hasn't been any fun.  If you all have any ideas on great bland snacks or meals, I would love to hear them.  I am hungry all the time and I am tired of the same old stuff.

Shelly Osuna:  Thank you for the card yesterday.  You have to ask me the story about it when I come back to school.  I want to say that the exact timing of me getting it and what it said was perfect!

Have a super day!  Today is another gift and God is so Good!!!

If you had to leave your house for a month.......and you could only take three things........what would they be?  Your kids and spouse don't count.
