3:45 Update:  Leslie is feeling much better today.  She has some spunk in her and has been able to be up and around more.  She still gets a low grade fever but we just keep plugging away with the meds and it seems to be staying under control.   Looks like she is headed in the right direction now.  We certainly have hope that she is.  Thank you for praying.

Leslie kept her temp down in the 90's all day yesterday until about 6:00 last night.  It spiked up again to 101.2.  She took some Tylenol and stayed cool the rest of the night .  This morning she woke up with a temp of 99.0.  Not too bad.  I saw some improvement in her yesterday.  It was little but it was there.    We will see how today goes and I will give you an update this afternoon.

Leslie wanted me to tell Christina Santos to have a "Happy Birthday" today.  Leslie wants Stacey Barbee to know that the picture you sent of Braden was so adorable.

Please keep up the prayers for Leslie to get better.  Thank you for all the praying you have done already.  We both appreciate it.  Thanks for the cards.  Thanks for your comments.  All these things make her smile.

God is good!  Mike

2:15 Update:  Leslie has managed so far to keep her temp in the 90's.  It did get to 99.9 but the Advil quickly took care of that.  We see some improvement in her today but she is still feeling very weak with the low grade fever.  She is keeping her spirits up but is ready for this to be over.  She knows it is all in God's time.  Becky, we are praying for your family.  Thank you for the continued prayers.  Mike

Thank you for all the prayers!  Leslie went to sleep last night with a normal  temperature of 98.6 and stayed cool all night.  Praise God!  She woke up this morning with a temp of 99.2 which is one of the lowest she has woken up to in a while.  She took some Tylenol and went right back to sleep.  We are praying that she stays in the 90's today.  That would be a huge improvement.  Leslie knows how much EVERYONE is praying for her constantly.

We need prayers for her blood counts to go up and for strength.  She is still pretty weak.  She wants me to thank everyone for all the cards you have sent.  We want to thank you for all of the comments you have sent her on the blog everyday.  Thank you for keeping my wife so encouraged.

Will come on later with an update on how she is doing.  Many thanks to First Christian Church for the 24 hour prayer vigil you did for my wife.  We are so touched by that.  We felt the prayers.

God is good.   Mike

3:00 Update:  Leslie's temp has run about 100 degrees all day.  The good news is that she hasn't spike a high temp today.  She can feel your prayers and hugs.  Keep them coming and thank you!

"...Anyway, he had a fever(100-102.5) for 2 weeks and the doctors had no idea why. They ruled lots of things out such as mono, strep, etc. but we still never found out what it was. They said it was just some virus that ran its course. Hopefully the same will happen to you." Thanks Patty McDonald for letting us know that. (Her comment is on yesterdays post).  It  would be good if we have the same sort of thing going on and will clear soon.

Thanks so much to all our First Christian Church Family who are doing a 24 hour prayer and fasting for Leslie right now.  Thank you Pastor Ed for coming out and visiting with us last night, that means a lot to us.  Also thanks to all our PMH family who took such good care of us yesterday at the hospital.

Leslie made it through the night again with no fever meds, her temp this morning was 100.2, still above normal but not too bad - maybe the end is in sight.

We want to wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our son Jeff!  We love him, are so proud of him, and he takes such good care of his momma when I'm gone.

We will keep you posted if there are any changes today. God is Good,

Mike

6:00 pm - We're back from the hospital but still don't have any answers; we now know lots of things that ARE NOT causing the fever, but still don't know what IS the cause.  Again, no signs of infection anywhere.  This is called "Fever of Unknown Etiology" which is just a fancy way of saying "we don't know"  Sometimes the fevers come and then go any the cause never is known, hopefully this too will go away soon!  There are a few more tests that will take a few days for results, we'll see what come of those.  Leslie's blood counts (red cells, white cells, and platelets) are still all low.  Please pray the fevers resolve and that her blood counts come up soon.

Thanks, Mike

10:10am Update:  Leslie is on her way to the hospital.  The doctor is puzzled why this is happening.  This is no longer a reaction to the white blood cell booster.  He wants the hospital to run tests to see what is causing the fever.  PLEASE KEEP PRAYING!!!  Posted by Monica.

8:40 Update:  Leslie has spiked a high fever.

I apologize for no update on Leslie yesterday but we did not hear from Dr. McClay's office.  We expect to hear from them today.  Will let you know what he says.

Looks like Leslie's body was getting use to the Tylenol and Advil.  We tried Aleve last night and it kept her cool all night.  She slept much better then she had been.  She is still running a low grade fever this morning but at least she isn't burning up.

Thank you for faithfully keeping her in your prayers.  I read her the blog comments all the time.  Let's all pray that today is the day of no more fever.

She wanted me to tell Mac and Patty McDonald thank you for the beautiful flowers.  It lifted her spirits yesterday when she received them.  Also to Christie Ellis for what she said is one of the most beautiful cards she has seen.

God is good.  Mike
