Good Tuesday morning!   BIG sigh........bummer!  Okay so the Chargers lost their first game.  I could blame it on lots if things but I choose to blame it on all the pouring rain. haha  :)  Oh well there is always next week.  I agree with you Jenna Severe.....this first week shouldn't count.  :)  Although I think I know a few Chicago Bear fans that would disagree.    Congrats to my Kansas City Chief friends Christie E. and the Missouri Stiegemeyer family.

Tyler and his buddy Wyatt go to the same babysitter who we adore named Sylvia.  Sylvia's family are huge Raider fans.  Raiders and Chargers are big rival teams.  So of course Tyler and Wyatt showed up to Sylvia's yesterday in their Charger jerseys.  She got a kick out of it and took some pictures of the two of them together.  I will share them when I get them from Sylvia.  Tyler actually did the touchdown pose for her!  Yes!!!

Here are me and Tyler kicking back and watching the first quarter on the couch.  This was when the Chargers actually had the lead.

Christie Ellis.......I missed you being here!!  Happy to see you!

Prayer requests: My dear friend Denise Rogers has asked for prayer for her mom.  She is having problems seeing out of one of her eyes.  She is having an MRI done on her optic nerve on Wednesday and getting the results next Monday.   Please pray that everything goes well, that the results are good and that her eye problem will go away quickly.  That God will give them so much peace while they are waiting on the results.  We all know that waiting on test results is the hardest part.  Thank you everyone!

Genesis 1 verses 6 - 8:  And God said, "Let the vapors separate to form the sky above and the oceans below."  So God made the sky, dividing the vapor above from the water below.  This all happened on the second day.

Have a terrific day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Silly question......what brand of laundry detergent do you use?  Softener?  Dryer sheets?

Good Monday morning!  How was your weekend? Thank you all for praying for me on Saturday.  I felt those prayers and the PET scan probably went the best it has ever gone.  I didn't feel the needle stick at all and they got the vein on the first try.  Since I was already at the hospital and it was time to flush my port out I just went ahead and got that done too.  Thank you Ashley V.  That was painless too.

Speaking of my port.....it will be 2 years in December that the Dr. considers me cancer free. (He starts counting the day I had my gamma knife radiation treatment).  I have an appointment with my surgeon on Wednesday to see about maybe getting the port taken out plus a check up from my surgery this summer.  I would love for the port to be gone.  I may wait until December.  We will see.  Of course when I see my oncologist on Thursday I will ask him too.

I had such a great day yesterday.  After church it was Tyler and Nani time (Mike worked).  We played, watched football and had a good ol time. He brought me some roses for grandparent day.  Isn't that sweet?  And he is only 10 months old.....how thoughtful.  :)  Tyler mimics really well now.  I am trying to teach him to raise both his hands when I say TOUCHDOWN.....SAN DIEGO CHARGERS!  He smiles real big and I have gotten him to do it a couple of times.  I have the whole football season for him to get it .  The Chargers play tonight and our family is getting together to watch the game. I will try to get a picture of him doing it this season.

Here is Tyler with his 10 month candle.  Jenna had to hold him back.   Poor baby wanted those cupcakes so bad.  He was smiling because he thought he was going to get his hands on them.   One more month of torture and then on his 1 year birthday he can dig in to a big cake! He will be 11 months old on the 28th of this month.  Wow.....where has the time gone?

I would like to wish my friend Margie Wiggins a very "Happy Birthday" today!  Have a great day Margie!!

Great talking to you last night Mary Jo!!  Sorry about your Colts losing.

Prayer requests:  For some people who are recovering from surgery.  That the pain will go away quickly and they have a speedy recovery. For safety in traveling for Aunt Edith and Uncle Herb.   Also the memorial service for Calista and her father Steven is this morning.  Please keep the family in your prayers for peace and comfort and strength.  I haven't heard an update on Electra yet but hope to soon and will keep you updated.

Let's start at the beginning:  Genesis 1 verse 1 - 5:  When God began creating the heavens and the earth, the earth was at first a shapeless, chaotic mass, with the spirit of God brooding over the dark vapors.  Then God said, "Let there be light."  And light appeared.  And God was pleased with it, and divided the light from darkness.  So he let it shine for awhile, and then there was darkness again.  He called the light "daytime," and the darkness "nighttime."  Together they formed the first day.

Have a marvelous day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!  Hug your family today and tell them that you love them!

Which NFL football team does your family cheer for??   GO CHARGERS!!

12:10 afternoon update: I am home now.  PET scan went well and yes, they were able to get the needle in my vein with no problems at all on the first try.  Thank you for keeping me in your prayers.  Praying for great results on Thursday.  God is Good!

Good Saturday morning!  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far. The mornings and evenings have been so beautiful these past few days.  I hope it stays!  Take a few moments to remember all the lives that were tragically lost on this day in 2001.  The school that I work at did a real nice little rememberance ceremony yesterday morning.  Something about seeing the flag being raised by a service man and hearing a patriotic song gives you goosebumps.

I am heading into the hospital this morning for my PET scan.  I will be spending my whole morning in prayer for you all.  Thanks for keeping me in your prayers.  I feel them.

Ahhhhh.....football has begun!  I am so ready too.  My San Diego Chargers don't play until Monday night.  They will be in Kansas City.  GO CHARGERS!!!  I love Sundays filled with church then football with the family!  Yes....Tyler has his football jersey too!

Okay, so you all know that I watched Tyler last Monday when I had the day off from work.  I had to think of something for him to get into.  So I dumped my bag of cottonballs out for him to play in.  He loved it.....can you tell?

Sunday is Grandparents Day.  I think all the grandparents should be spoiled on this day!  ha!ha!  hmmmm........all we want is Tyler time!  :)

Thank you so much for the support on facebook for my book SPF-150 "It's a Sunny Day".  You can go to the sights wall and see pictures too.  Hope you can get the word out to your freinds to become a fan too.  I thank and appreciate everyone for your support!

Prayer requests: Protection and strength for all of our military service men and women.  My cousin Anthony is serving in Iraq.  Pray for his safety as well as many others who are so brave.  Thank you for all that you do for this country.  It is very much appreciated.

1 John 4 verse 16:  We know how much God loves us because we have felt his love and because we believe him when he tells us that he loves us dearly.  God is love, and anyone who lives in love is living with God and God is living in him.

Have a super day and weekend everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!  See you on Monday!!

Do you remember where you were and what you were doing when the 9-11 attacks happened?

It's Friday morning!!  Yaaaaay!  Ready for the weekend.....well sort of.  My full body PET scan is tomorrow morning at 8:30.  So after that I will be ready for the weekend.  One bummer though is that I can't be around Tyler for 24 hours after the test because I am radioactive. Seriously, that is what they told me.  But come Sunday I will be smothering him with hugs and kisses. So my personal prayer request is going to sound like a broken record but if you could pray that not only things will go smooth but that they get the needle into my vein on the very first try.  Also that I won't be anxious waiting for the results which I will get on Thursday afternoon.  That I will hear nothing but great things from my oncologist Dr. McClay.  Thank you!

The SPF-150 "It's a Sunny Day" book fan page was launched yesterday on Facebook!  Thank you to everyone who has become a fan and hit the "like" button.  Thanks also for getting the word out to so many others.  I appreciate it very much!  The support has been incredible.  Happy dancing here!  :)

Here are the last two pictures that I will post of Jeff and Angela's European vacation.

Prayer requests:  I have received a prayer request from someone who is suffering from anxiety attacks and  it is affecting their health.  I very well know what those feel like and it is no fun.  Let's pray that whatever is causing them will get better.  For that person to feel a peace and calmness.

1 Peter 5 verse 7:  Let him have all your worries and cares, for he is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.

Have a fantabulous day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

On your last dentist visit did you get a clean bill of health or did you have a cavity?  Believe it or not I have had only 1 cavity my entire life.  So thankful for that.  But I made up for that with a lot of oral surgeries.  (remember mom?)

Good Thursday morning!  How is your week going?  I love these 4 day work weeks. It is picture day at school today.  Say cheese!

I was reading yesterday a devotion about living one day at a time.  It said, Most of us have enough to handle today without worrying about tomorrow.  God will give you grace for today, but he will not give you grace for tomorrow until tomorrow arrives.  So often people worry about something that never happens.  When you begin to think about the "what if's," the door opens for fear and worry.  Do not allow yourself to dread tomorrow.  Just know that God is faithful.  It is comforting to know that whatever tomorrow may hold, He holds tomorrow.  His grace is sufficient to meet the need.  Do not waste today's grace by worrying about tomorrow.

It is time again to remind everyone to send a card to someone who could really use a pick me up or thinking about you or get well etc...It is so nice for the recepient to know that someone is thinking about them and that they are loved.  How about sending 2 cards?   :)

I would like to wish my beautiful niece Kayla a very "Happy Birthday" today!  Have a fun day girlie!

Prayer requests:  An update on Electra who was in the car accident....Her eyes are open, she is moving around in her bed a lot, has had both chest tubes taken out and is being weaned off the ventilator.  Isn't that awesome!  Keep praying for her and the family.  Also requests from a few parents who would like prayers for guidance and wisdom for their kids.

Hebrews 11 verse 1:  What is faith?  It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.

Have a great day everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Do you have a decoration theme in your kitchen?  Mine is a tuscan theme.  I love the rich warm colors!
