Good Wednesday morning!  Put a smile on your face this morning and say "this is the day that the Lord has made.....let us rejoice and be glad in it!"  That is tough for some of us to do I know.  Life is hard sometimes.....really hard.....and scary.  We want to throw in the towel.  But we can't.  We need to remember to keep each other lifted up in prayer daily and to hold on to HOPE!  It may take a long time to get through the hardship that you might be facing but God has got your back.  He is carrying you through.  Please don't ever forget that.   For everyone who is reading this blog today here is a BIG (((HUG))) from me!

I wanted to share a few of the words to this praise song that we sang in church Sunday.  If you can, go to YouTube and find it and listen.  It is so cool.  It is called "Everlasting God".  Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord.  Our God, you reign forever.  Our hope, our strong deliverer.  You are the everlasting God.  You do not faint, you won't grow weary.  You are the defender of the weak, you comfort those in need, you lift us up on wings like eagles.

I still have some more pics of Jeff and Angela's trip to Europe but I thought I would put a Tyler pic up today.  I love this one!  Here he is having a blast at his Uncle Jeff's birthday party.  What a ham!

Tyler 06
Great talking to you last night Teri Sulli!

Prayer requests:  Keep praying for Electra.  She is still alive.  For Angel Linda, that the issue that she has been working on will go smooth and she will finally have closure.  For Del Asbury to figure out what is causing his headaches and that he will start to feel better.  Also for a little 4 year old boy who was recently diagnosed with Kawasaki's disease.  That he gets better soon with no heart damage and for his parents for strength.

2 Thessalonians  verses 16 & 17:  May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting comfort and hope which we do not deserve, comfort your hearts with all comfort, and help you in every good thing you say and do.

Have a wonderful day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!

Good Tuesday morning!!  How was your 3 day weekend?  I had a really nice one spent mostly with my family.  Mike and I had so much fun with Tyler yesterday.  He is just a little sponge right now learning so much.  He cracks us up all the time.

I have some great news to announce today!  We have a title to my book.  It is going to be called...... SPF 150 "It's a Sunny Day".   It will tell my story but also so much more.  It will be about hope, inspiration, human kindness, miracles, and my strong faith in God. The importance of sunscreen and about the latest treatments on one of the fastest growing cancers--melanoma.  The writer, Marga Cooley and I are getting ready to launch a fan page on Facebook.  So if you see that title coming on FB please click that you will be a fan. Get everyone on your list of friends to be a fan.  These days you have to really get the book promoted before it is finished being written to get a publisher to publish it.  The publisher needs to see that there is an interest.   Facebook is one way.  Thank goodness Marga knows what to do.  She is great!  The FB page will be updated regularly with the latest on what is going on with the book and more.  Of course I will keep everyone here updated as well.  THANK YOU for your help!

Please keep the SPF 150 "It's a Sunny Day" book in your prayers that God will have his hand in it all the way.

Here are a couple of more pics of Jeff and Angela.  These are from Venice, Italy.

I would like to wish my sweet friend Christie Ellis a very "Happy Birthday" today!  Have a super fun day today and let your boys spoil you!

2 Corinthians 1 verses 3 & 4:  What a wonderful God we have--he is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials.  And why does he do this?  So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us.

Prayer requests:  I have received a couple of requests in the last few months for some people who are suffering with depression.  I want to thank you for continuing to pray for them.  It is a daily fight and they want prayer that God will help them overcome their problems.  That their burdens will become lighter. That they will feel joy and find a purpose in their lives again.  Remember if you have any prayer requests and want our awesome prayer warriors to pray for you to let me know leslie@mgilbert.net  They will remain confidential unless you want your or their names posted.

Have a terrific day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!  Make each minute count.

Good Monday morning and Happy Labor Day!  I hope you are all having a nice and relaxing 3 day weekend!  I have my little side kick Tyler with me today.  Looking forward to a fun day with him.

I wanted to share this with you all.  I read it yesterday.......  We need to be strengthened and renewed on a daily basis.  We need to be strengthened physically, mentally and emotionally.  We need to be strong so we do not fall apart every time we have to face some situation we had not planned on.  Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.  We can be strengthened and renewed by drawing strength from God, by exercising our faith and by doing what He tells us to do.  Let God strengthen you.

My post is short this morning.  I will be back tomorrow with my regular blogging and some more pics of Jeff and Angela's trip.  Next stop.....Italy.

**Update on the Snow Family (car accident):  Keep the prayers going....12 year old Electra is still alive and opened her eyes yesterday.  Praise God!  They were able to donate 8 organs from Calista.....it helps to know that a part of her lives on.  So bittersweet because you know how grateful the families are whose children received them.  The family thanks all of you prayer warriors for your continued prayers.

1 Thessalonians 5 verses 16 & 17:  Always be joyful.  Always keep on praying.

I thank God for all of you!  Let's thank God for hearing and answering all our prayers today.

Have a marvelous Monday everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

So what is for dinner tonight?

Do you own any fine china?  If you do, how often do you get it out and use it?  Mike and I received a beautiful set of china when we got married and we just don't use it very much.  I am thinking.....why only use it for a special occasion?  I am going to get it out and start using it a lot.  Everyday of life is a special occasion to me!  :)
