Good Tuesday morning!  Since last week was such a crazy week I didn't get the chance to tell you that I was able to walk in the Cancer Resource Center of The Desert's cancer walk on October 16th in Imperial.  What a great evening it was.  I would like to take the time to thank everyone who donated a luminaria in my honor.  As I was walking the 1st lap for survivor's I was extremely emotional and thankful to God that I was alive and walking with my husband and grandson.  (This was the weekend we had Tyler).  Tyler loved it!  He thought that all of the clapping and commotion was for him!  haha!

Thanks to all who work tirelessly to put the event together.  I appreciated it all. I know a lot of $$$ was raised to help families who are fighting cancer.  Cancer Resource Center really helped me and I am so grateful.   Diana Peacher.....you ROCK!

Prayer requests:  Prayer for Angel Linda's sister Laura to have a speedy recovery from her surgery.  Thank you Angel Linda for keeping us updated on her.  Also for Erik Clary to have a speedy recovery from his surgery too.  Also for Bill who was diagnosed with cancer and for Lara whose cancer has returned.  Pray that they will be healed of their cancer.  Please also keep our family in your prayers for comfort.

Numbers 6 verses 24, 25, & 26: May the Lord bless and protect you; may the Lord's face radiate with joy because of you; may he be gracious to you, show you his favor, and give you his peace.

The answer to yesterday's question was Amazing Race.  I think Jenna and Jeff would be a great brother/sister team.  Today's question is.....What are you or your kids going to be for Halloween this year?  I am going to dress up as Glenda The Good Witch from the Wizard of Oz.  Tyler's birthday party is going to be a costume party and the family is dressing up as different characters from The Wizard of Oz.

Good Monday morning!!  What a week and what a weekend!  It's hard to believe that a week has flown by since Bryan passed.  The "Celebration of Life" party for Bryan went really great.  It was held at mine and Mike's home and hosted by the Gilbert, Stiegemeyer, Middleton and Paz families.  Well over 200 family, friends and co-workers attended.  It went just like Bryan would have wanted.  Thank you so much to everyone for all of the beautiful flowers, plants, food, cards and help to make it such a wonderful time. The outpouring of love was awesome.  Thanks to everyone who traveled so far to be with us. Our hearts still ache, but the continuous prayers for comfort have kept our family going.  Special thanks to Steve Garcia for providing the music.  You did a fabulous job.

Then last night we decided to have a birthday dinner for Jenna and some friends.  It was a great time filled with good food and lots of laughs.  Here is a picture of the birthday girl from last night.

Next Saturday is Tyler's BIG 1 year birthday party!!  This time of year is always so busy for our family but I would not want it any other way.  I am so thankful for each and every moment and memory that I get to share with my loved ones.

My San Diego Chargers lost again yesterday by 3 points.  We seem to come alive in the last quarter but just not enough time to win.  Big sigh......oh well....I still love them and next week we are in San Diego again to play the Tennessee Titans.

My sister and her hubby Gregg headed to Europe yesterday.  Very thankful that they were able to attend Bryan's celebration.  Pray that they have a safe trip and a super fun time!

Prayer requests:  For all these loved ones fighting cancer or still going through the process.....Lori, Lorri, Teresa, Jose, Lorenzo, Susan, Anna, Martha, Cova, Cyndi, Karen, Claudia's Dad, Betsy, Chris, Allen, Kenny, Maria, Chad, Samuel, Father Ruben, John, Ken, Kristin, Patrick, Mike, Carolyn, Becky, Jim, Wayne, Ron and Jeff B.  Pray for a cure.  Also keep their family member's in your prayers for strength too.  Also for someone that has a job interview.  That he will be offered the job.

Good Friday morning!  A good memory is one that can remember the day's blessings and forget the day's troubles.....

Hope everyone is having a good week.  I made it through work fine yesterday but very sore.  I am tired.  I have not really slept that well this week.  I hope that some of the pain and soreness will be better by tonight so I can get a good night's sleep.  

We are going to be very busy today and tomorrow getting preparations done for Bryan's "Celebtaion of Life" party.  I will be taking this weekend off from blogging and will be back here on Monday.  Again, our family appreciates your prayers and outpouring of love so much.   Thanks for the e-mails about where I can find easels.  We appreciate it so much.

Prayer requests:  Please keep praying for Electra.  Her condition has not changed.  It is still the same.  Will be a long recovery.  Also for a family who has asked for prayers for wisdom as they deal with another family member addicted to drugs.  They are facing some tough decisions and feel helpless.

Isaiah 26 verse 12:  Lord, grant us peace; for all we have and are has come from you.

Tell me something that you think is beautiful........

Good Thursday morning!  I feel the love!  I got a ton of hugs yesterday.  Thank you.......it meant so much.  All of your prayers is what is keeping us going.  I am happy to report that I am free of my port now.  I was glad to say good-bye to it but I am so sore today.  OUCH!  I won't be moving my right arm much for a few days.  It should be all healed up in a couple of weeks. 

I want to thank our dear friend Peggy Severe for bringing us out a delicious dinner last night.  It was so awesome to have dinner already prepared for us after I got home yesterday from having the surgery.  We have also been so busy planning Bryan's farewell on Saturday, which by the way is going well. 

I also want to thank everyone for the kind cards, e-mails, phone calls, etc....the right words at the right time are such a comfort.

Last weekend when Mike and I had Tyler we took him on an adventure to the mall.  I have a few pictures of him while we were there that I would like to share with everyone over the next few days.  This first one is of Tyler ready for lunch in the food court.  Poppi and Nani bought him a bread stick from the pizza place which he loved.

Here he is on one of the horses in the carousel.  He thought that was great!  Looking at these pictures just brightens my day and puts a smile on my face.

Prayer requests:  I just want to thank you all for keeping our family in your prayers for comfort.  Please continue to, and pray for all the families who need peace, comfort and strength because they too, have lost a loved one.  Even though we know they are in a much better place and in our precious Lord's arms it still hurts because we miss them so much.

Isaiah 40 verse 31: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.  They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Good Wednesday morning!  Monday was our precious daughter Jenna's birthday.  As you already know we didn't really get a chance to celebrate it.  We have actually decided to celebrate it next Friday night, the 29th.  But I did want to take today to honor another year of Jenna's life.  Here is the cutie patootie when she was 6 years old.

Our family continues to be grateful for the outpouring of love since Bryan's passing.  We do feel your prayers. Thank you.  This has been so hard.  What a huge comfort everyone has been.  We do have a lot of great memories and through tears have been able to laugh as we share the funny stories.

I would like to wish Trisha Middleton a very "Happy Birthday" today!  Have a fun day Trish and we will see you this weekend.

I also have my appointment this afternoon to have my port taken out.  Please throw an extra prayer my way that everything goes well with that.  I am so ready to get it out but at the same time I dread it.  Being cut on again is not my idea of a fun time.  I do thank God that the port served me well, but it will be nice to say good-bye to it.

Prayer requests:  For 2 friends who had surgery on Monday. That they will have an easy and speedy recovery.  Also a request for someone who is struggling to get their blood pressure under control.  Pray that they find the right meds to normalize it soon.   Also for my sister Monica and her hubby Gregg as they prepare to leave for Europe on Sunday.  Pray that they have a safe trip. 

Matthew 5 verse 4:  Blessed are those that mourn, for they will be comforted.
